How long had you worked for the company? sm
I feel like a dolt for not doing any research on this company before beginning to work for them. I was already a bit apprehensive because they do not have direct deposit. Had you worked for them long before the problem with the paychecks? My feeling is, first check they miss, I'm outta here, but that does not compensate for the money already lost. :(
Thanks!
I worked for MQ for a very long time. sm
I really loved working for them until the recent changes, and I agonized over my decision to leave. Now that it is done and over with, I can honestly say that I feel I made the right choice. However, now I find myself desperately searching for that job that I can settle into and be happy with, and hopefully outdo my 8 years with MQ. I definitely don't enjoy changing jobs.
May I ask how long you have worked for Cymed?
What you've said sounds pretty good to me.
I worked for them a long time ago.
Left in 2003. They were nice enough to work for. Not sure how it is now.
How long have you worked for CyMed?
I just started with them (also PT) and can't quite get the required line count yet although close. Some days are great. Then others are bad (bad ESLs). Overall, I really like working here though. Thanks for the info in advance.
I didn't know there was one, how long have you worked there? SM
I have been with them about 1 year. I came from MQ.
How long have you worked for Webmedx?
I have worked there for a long time
and the trainer at All Type is excellent. She is very patient, precise about the process, and no question is too dumb for her. She never makes you feel stupid for asking. All your account specifics are in writing so you can refer to them instead of sitting there in the dark. The typing platforms are varied but not difficult to learn.
I've worked for them not too long but so far
I think their work ethics and how they treat their employees far surpasses (in my eyes) my temporary lack of work. I've worked for too many nationals that treat me like pond scum, so I really like these people.
Yes. Have worked for a long time and
always had work in the morning, but now there is nothing to do. I can't even make my minimum line counts most of the time.
Apparently nobody's worked there t for long. n/m

I worked for Futurenet for a long time. sm
I can honestly say that I did not work on any accounts without a majority of ESLs. Unless they got a lot of new accounts that are really good, the norm with them was heavy ESLs. I would advise any MT who has a problem with ESLs to check this out thoroughly before applying with them.
i worked for MQ a long time, and find
MDIs platform not quite as sophisticated, but plenty adequate, plenty fast, and all in all, a very good place to be. I have the I/N accounts. p.s., I don't find the spell check lacking either.
I worked there a very long time ago. Is Rose still there? sm
I was very happy there, except for the, then manager, who was the owner's sister. That was the only reason I left. Our personalities just clashed and she was very demanding.
Other than that, the company was run very well, I was paid well; however, no matter how many lines I did, it never seemed to be enough. I was transcribing 2500 lines a day, and still it wasn't enough.
I would say good company and give them a try. If the sister is gone, things may be a whole lot better.
I think they use Vianeta now, terrible platform in my opinion.
Had you worked for them very long? How many lines were you averaging each pay period?
That is terrible. I am so sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you in your new job.
i've worked for MQ for a long time and never got a raise
nm
I worked there a long time ago. FInally got paid by going in with a group who got a lawyer. sm
I can't believe they're still in business!
nope, not me, NOPE Worked to hard and long to sm
know what I know, my expertise is worth more and constant updating . Keep looking on the job boards. Email and ask if VR, pay for space and lowest to highest line rate for the POSITION (generic question) not I have 20 years exp. etc
No problem :) No matter how long, it is too long for me - I am broke the day after payday. Kids wi
do that to you!
I know that they have worked very hard to make sure that checks are never late and I can say that in the past two years, I have had one problem (2 days late) and in the past 18 months, they have all been on payday and perfect.
I know that there are a lot of hard feelings in MT in general. I also know firsthand (and I am not mgmt) how hard KS has worked to get things going good.
I would not want to walk in an MTSO's shoes for any amount of money, but that's just me. I like to finish my work for the day, forget about work when not working and get paid on payday. I never want the other things that go with mgmt or owning a company of any kind :)
They definitely rip you off with your line count. Figured this out long ago and quit long ago

What really sucks is that I looked for a LONG, long time -sm
before joining DRC - wanted a highly reputable, not-too-big co. that was LOCAL, and that treated its MTs humanely. I'm very happy with DRC & had planned to stay with them permanently.
Long, long history of not paying...and
similar posts have been made here in the past few months. Everyone thinks they will be different, and then they end up coming back here to warn others that they don't pay.
I worked for a temp agency for 3 years..LOVED it. Just worked. No counts, no hassels, GREAT pay..
No benefits at the time. I even learned pathology while temping (8 months on that assigment). I loved the variety, the ability to say I'm not available such and such time. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I didn't need benefits.
A company is ONLY supposed to verify that someone worked there, what dates they worked, whether PT o
and last date worked. It opens everyone up to a lawsuit if more is given, so most companies are told by their attorneys and business advisors to verify only.
No one has a right to a reference, only verification of employment.
but those were long, long lines for
most of the reports. You could make more with a 65-character line count.
It worked! Latest suggestion from DJ's email worked. nm

If I worked a longer day, I just put my regular shift, 3p-11p, or whatever. If I worked sm
an extra day, then I was told to fudge the hours around on the other days so it all came out to 40. I didn't really mind -- have learned not to expect overtime in this profession -- and I was happy to be able to work whenever I needed to get the lines I needed. However, them telling me directly to fudge on my time sheet would seem to be a violation of the wage and hour laws. I suppose it doesn't matter now if they do not even have enough work to make the minimum line count necessary. Several of the companies I thought were golden seem to have gotten a bit tarnished lately … sad.
Glad it worked for you. I have worked for companies
that were more reliable and paid without the delay I had. Maybe you started before they started doing that but it makes no difference. I TOO am a single parent.
You are not trying to argue? Sounds like you not only are trying to argue but you are just waiting for anyone to post anything about the co on here so you can just get out there and respond, which seems to be the way I have always noticed it. It's like all the MTs or whoever that work there are just waiting to respond.
This board is about the good points and bad points about companies. I am telling my experience.
The people were nice people though, but my experience was not a good one and I will not say it was.
I can go a week after the end of payday and even 10days later but that's it. Kids would starve.
Best company I have ever worked for, and I have worked for a lot!
I can't believe some of the things these people say here, and have to wonder if it just the same person or two bashing. I have been at MDI for four years and I do not have a low workload and I get treated very, very well.
They one I am not sure of. I have always worked FT for them. I have worked both IC and employee
and I always did way over 12,000 a pay peroid. I am sure they are pretty comparative to other companies. You definitely could contact a recruiter by applying if they would answer all of your questions up front. Good luck.
anyone who has been in the biz long enough should know sm
that summer time is usually slow. This has been my experience, anyway. I'm glad I gave MQ a chance, it's worked out wonderfully!
How long ago were you with them?
And how long did you stay with them? Thx.
well it was certainly not that long ago.
This is just the truth. I think people should be aware of things that have happened. She probably won't have any problems, but it does happen.
How long did it take
after submitting your resume before you heard from them?
Thanks. May I ask how long ago that was
and possibly why you left, issues with company?
how long have you been there.....
are they going VR? How long did it take you to get used to the platform and make decent money after training? Do they doc your pay for mistakes? How is QA. How many lines can you do there a day and is the work consistent, i mean really consistent? Has there been anything that you don't like, if so what? thank you so much
How long have you been with TH?
Can you give specifics on thier benefits?
How long
have you been working for them? IC or employed?
how long ago was that?
Was it recent or before their personnel adjustments?
How long have you been with them?

it has been months, at least two. i guess i should give up.
that should be not, rather than now. Long day. LOL.

Wow, that's not long at all. nm

You were not there long enough to get (sm)
picked on. Lucky you!! Believe me those people are crazy!!
Not for long....
oh yeh we do if you have been around here long enough
.
How long did the FBI take for you.
I just want to get working. Thanks
I'm not sure how long it took,
but I started no later than 2 weeks after all my paperwork was signed and sent in. So I don't know if they finished the background check before I started or not. About a month later, I got a notice from the DOT notifying me that they checked my driver's license records, but that's the only info I got back.
I also have to agree with several posts above about the comments about being a hospital employee. I also was hired as an employee of the hospital, and yes, the process is a little more involved, but it was no more involved than when I was hired for an inhouse position at a local hospital. It is just the hospital's requirements. Diskriter did pay for everything and I have no indictation whatsoever they they sold my info to telemarketers.
The pay is average, but I also agree with the poster above that it is offset by the fact that you are working on only one account, plus the benefits are better than any national out there. I am making more $$ than in my 15 years of MTing than I ever have (45K+).
Oh, another plus is that they do pay an hourly wage for downtime (system problems, no work). This is also a big plus in my opinion.
Good Luck.
