Futurenet work has slowed down majorly. Has anyone else's picked back up yet? I thought we had new accounts coming on? If so, are they are going to hire some people? Does anyone know what we can expect?

Archieved info from Futurenet is kinda old (fall of 2008) and was wondering how things are now? sm
Got an offer... they admitted to lots of ESLs which is nothing new to me. Being an IC is nothing new to me either. The recruiter was a doll. I like to work independently, don't mind running out of work once in a while as that's the way things go at certain times of the year in this biz, but want pretty steady work most of the time. I don't mind being asked to work extra. I don't mind working one weekend day. I don't need a ton of flexibility all the time, but don't want to be called if I am half an hour late one day and hope to be trusted to make it up myself. I don't want or need to be babysat. Will I be happy, I ask the 8 ball?
Futurenet work
... don't know if this may be one thing that may be impacting Futurenet's volume, but I went for an interview with a company who contracts with Futurenet, and they are bringing their work back inhouse from Futurenet. I believe I heard that company will just license Futurenet's platform, but bring the transcription back inhouse.
FutureNet Low on Work
I also am very, very low on work with FutureNet and wonder if my main account is one that is phasing out FNTC. I know you cannot name the account but could you tell the city and state they are in????
Futurenet...where did the work go? sm
Anyone have any idea why the counts are so low at Futurenet this week? I haven't been able to get a single job since the weekend!!!
Is there work at FutureNet? sm
Earlier this year archives shows comments that work was low at FutureNet, I am wondering if that has changed (before I apply!)....anybody know?
FutureNet is still low on work...
I don't understand why these companies hire more people than they have work for. Seems to me that they lose a lot of good people that way. I've been with them under three months and I'm going to begin looking elsewhere. They put me on three accounts that chronically run out of work, yet they're begging for help on other accounts! What's wrong with them???
Futurenet work
No in my opinion not a lot of work anymore and later in the day and at night only. Also what they didn't say when they hired people (at least not me) is that it would be going to voice recognition in a month.
FUTURENET is the BEST place to work!
For real, FutureNet Technologies is the best place out there to work! I have tried two other places over the internet, and BY FAR, FutureNet is the best! They have a lot of work. Their pay is ALWAYS on time, EVERY TIME. They have production bonuses, easy format (VERY EASY) and they do not ask for IM, so that means they are not bugging you all day. They email you, or every now and then call you, when something is needed...and they send counts all throughout the day to let you know how much work is in the system. The people are GREAT, easy to get along with and very nice. They may be doing some hiring. If so, RUN to them! They are the absolute BEST!
Futurenet- Anyone know anything about this company, would they allow you to work for MQ also? nm

Have any of you noticed that Futurenet has an ad for MTs right now? And I have been without work fo
I was looking for some part-time work because my main job has had NO work hardly at all, not even to make $150 every two weeks and come to find out FUTURENET has an ad for transcriptionists! What is going on with that? How can they be hiring when there is no work now? Maybe that is the problem - they are overhiring so much. This is ridiculous! I am outta here. I have waited and waited and waited and waited for some work to come in - nada! Anyone else having the same problem with them? I am a very loyal, well-seasoned Transcriptionist and I have been giving them the benefit of the doubt, waiting for some work while me and my family are almost, literally, starving because of it. I feel like I have been robbed!
I know FutureNet running low on work but. (sm)
their ad says new accounts coming on in January, perhaps they were hiring on in anticipation so they were all trained.
Anyway, I am planning on applying and wanted to ask a couple of questions.
1. How long does it take for them to get back with you once you apply?
2. What kind of platform do they use?
3. Are they pretty easy with scheduling? Are you required to work a full weekend day each week?
4. If you don't have work during your scheduled time, do they require you to make up the time/lines?
I know some of these have been asked/answered in the past, looking for truly recent info from current employees if possible.
TIA
FutureNet lack of work
How about lately? Anyone else notice the lack of work and the hiring of new MT's? Also they do not treat their regulars with respect.
I am! FutureNet provides the MTs they want with plenty of work

Anyone hired by Futurenet to work on the new SC account? SM
I might apply, just wanted some info, thanks.
Many old YOGgers at FutureNet, but the work isn't steady. sm
When I was at MQ, they lost many YOG accounts, but I haven't been there in a couple of years, so I can't really speak to that.
Does anyone know if Futurenet hires part time weekend work? (nm)
I am wondering if employees with Futurenet have a hard time having adequate work flow..sm
Just started there not too long ago, but now finding out I am running out of work frequently. I have several accounts that I can work on, but all are empty most of the time. Have they overhired or is this the normal?
Has anyone recently left Futurenet Tech due to their lack of work over the past several weeks? nm

Have things gotten better at Amphion? Is there work now? nm

Don't worry, things will work out. nm

I can see a lot of problems in this way of doing things. That sounds to me like everyone's work i
up for grabs so that would push those MTs that have their acccounts grabbed up go onto other accounts. If you think this doesnt affect quality I think you are totally crazy. There are a lot of people that simply cannot do a good job on accounts this way and they are very good MTs. Very bad way to do business. I am sure quality is hughly compromised. It is always always best for quality and line counts to keep people with what they know. Even the hospitals can see who is in there and they know there are a lot of unknown MTs in their accounts and if the quality goes down or a lot of work is tied up in QA those hospitals are gone to another company.
I work there and things apparently have changed since you were there.
Not all the people you named are still there nor is the dental plan Delta. It is Guardian. Insurance is excellent.
Now, they hire employees and not ICs. They do that for a reason. They can better schedule and meet TATs that way. I think employee status warrants meeting your hours, but what I do know is that they do allow some flexibility and if you need it, all you need to do is say it as long as it is not 12-hr flexibility. If you have to run out and get the kids, tell them.
This company is a good company. The people are quite nice. Their QA staff is good. They do follow the BOS to a tee.
It's a personal choice, but if someone did not at least check them out, I think they are missing out. They are very good. Best QA staff I have ever worked with.
But that is why she has people who work for her, to take care of other things when she has
mmmmm
Because you keep thinking things will get better with hard work, not always.

My how things have changed. I am now drowning in work from
the new clients, I guess, and they are bringing on two more this week. Hip, hip, hooray! Might even get a bonus!!!
Unless things have changed drastically, they are NOT nice to work for.
You will get calls at all hours to work, mostly because no one has enough sense to realize that there is a big time difference between the east coast where they are and the west coast where I am. I routinely got calls from Rose between 4 and 5 a.m. to see why I was not working when my schedule was for 7 a.m. pacific time. The accounts were awful. And the recruiter is just that - do not believe all the praise and glory she heaps out. She may be sweet but don't fall for her line of bs.
If things don't work out,, the Diskriter FL Hosp position (sm)
Pays for downtime when work runs out and benefits are pretty decent.
Glad to hear things are better. Hang in there. I know how hard it can be... this profession just isn't what it used to be.
Good luck to you!!
Maybe they dont answer because there is no work to get.Best way to avoid things I guess.
:
Just how are they to work for as far as accounts, ESLs, etc. The usual things such as how they treat
the MTs and so on.
? That's kind of a blanket statement; things are fine on the accts I work on. sm
Yes, it was slow a couple weeks ago but started picking up last week.
PS - Yes, they pay for spaces.
I've been there for years, work on the DSG1 side of things, pay on time, direct deposit, more
feedback lately. I have always found the staff and MTs helpful and friendly. Work does fluctuate, but if you have a few accounts, should keep you busy, also sound quality can be an issue but mostly okay.
Getting the worst shift and worst work are two different things...
If you are new, you may not get the best shift, but everyone should share in the difficult work. No one person should be stuck with ESLs because they are new. Maybe the new hires won't get first pick of holidays...things like that, but shouldn't get stuck with all ESLs. Doesn't make sense.
No. Expect good things, and good things will come

Do any of you know of any MTSOs using Futurenet software...iType, iPlayer, iSeries, iText?
Futurenet uses it.

Futurenet
Can you work out of your home for Futurenet? They are located in Monrovia, arent they? I think they used to be in the same industrial office area as MQ.
futurenet
TONS of ESL, but pay is excellent and they have weekend & holiday bonuses that are very good! Very flexible and easy to work with.
FutureNet
Thanks for the info. I was offered a position with them today. The account that they told me I would be doing I know has a lot of ESLs. I am debating whether to take the job or not. Anyone heard of HPI (Health Information Partners)? It seems like a good company. Thanks again for the valuable info! Have a great Xmas.
FutureNet
Has anyone heard anything about this company - good, bad or ugly?
FutureNet
Terrific company, excellent pay, office staff,QA and Tech Support great. Other than no benefits, company extremely hard to beat
FutureNet
We've definitely had different experiences with the company. I've typed for them as an IC for about 2 years - guess I've gotten used to the account and dictators. Some are still bad but for the most part, they're ok. Quite a while ago they did have a gal in the office that was hateful but she's been gone for a while now, and I've found the rest of the crew to be terrific. Sorry you had a bad one with them, though. It is so hard to find a decent company; feel I found it with FN but went through a lot of companies until I did.
FUTURENET
Please let me know if you know anything about this company. How is the staff, etc.? Thanks!
FutureNet
It is a terrific company, friendly group. Typing platform is one of the easiest I have ever typed. Have worked for several companies and highly recommend this one.
FutureNet
Anybody working for FutureNet? Any info, good or bad?
futurenet
I have been with FutureNet for about 3 months now...after leaving Medquist...had been with Your Office Genie before MQ took over...15 years total. What you have at FN is a good portion of the old staff that was at the Monrovia office of YOG/MQ. I find them great to work with and have enough work and so far no problems..but then I have known most of them for years...mtgal847
FutureNet
What do you have to do to be SE with them? nm
Futurenet QA
How is QA at Futurenet? Do they dock for blanks, follow strict BOS or client specifics, quibble over commas, etc?
TIA!
FutureNet
Great company, great pay, direct deposit if line requirements are met and a lot of ESL dictators
FutureNet
Does anyone out there know what transcription program FutureNet uses and how difficult it is to learn? Just finished my shift at MQ and am exhausted from DQS...Thanks!
