Yes, I too, like so many of us, used to make much more money.  That is why I do not recommend anyone starting this as a career now.  Just in the last few years I have sometimes felt like a poor immigrant slaving over a sewing machine, being paid by production.  I am glad I am in the end of my career and really hope for the best for those not toward the end.  I suppose it is better than no job, yet that is a sad commentary to make, isn't it?  I truly hope most MTs and Editors are happy with their jobs out there.  If they are, and are doing well, heed us oldies, cut what expense you can and SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!

Yes, in hindsight I should not have done it. I had been in my office for days on end testing and testing. I remember it being very tough and took me a long time to finish. I was desperate (I guess) to seek my own accounts and thought this would be the first of many!

Never again! :)
