Those definitely were the days. I started with Medical Records Corp back in 1995 and it was sooooooo nice. Even after about 5 years, it was still very good and I even think MQ had already bought them out. Until the cesspool and losing sooooo many different accounts, we were actually making money. Now, well I had to drop down to PT a while ago and get a few IC accounts to keep me afloat. The private doctors (well at least a few) still appreciate us as transcriptionists, not editors. The two guys I do work for are wonderful, very appreciative and pay very well. I could not survive with MQ any longer and that is still killing myself and I think I am a pretty quick typist. When everything goes up, it is hard to see our pay go down. Wish we had those good ole days back. Sorry to sound so morbid
