I just spoke with the recruiter today.
They appear to be hiring for both Diskriter Employee status and Hospital Employee status. Im not sure why, but she only spoke to me about being an employee for Diskriter and benefits were cheaper than what I have been quoted from other companies, but still pushing up to $300 a month for family plan. I would like to know what the hospital employee benefits are like in comparison. Hoping to get clarification on this today.
The recruiter I spoke to was VERY misleading about holiday pay.
I never would have known (until it was too late!) about their holiday policy unless I had read it here.... I've tossed my notes from the interview but as I recall she said something about as long as you work your next scheduled day before and after you get time+1/2 on holidays. Could be wrong but anyway it left me with an impression apparently pretty different from the truth. I'm so glad I said, I'll think about it!
I spoke with recruiter 3-4 wks ago and was told mixed acute care & clinic, no ops exclusively. Low

Axolotl update: got a call from the recruiter yesterday. sm
They give you a computer, but require a $300 deposit on it, to be taken out of your check in $50 increments until paid. I left a different national a few months ago; and when I had started there a year ago, got a new computer and no deposit required at all.
Got called over a month and a half after I applied to their ad.
Line rate is required 170 per hour.
I'm supposed to get a testing e-mail soon, and have to respond and do the test within 48 hours. That 300.00 bothers me. A few extra hundred added to it, and I could buy my own. I've heard the horror stories of deposits and equipment issues.
I think I'll pass.
We all know from the MT recruiter yesterday that Synescribe and All American Transcription are tied
into together. I think Synthescribe had gotten so much of a bad rap on here that I am wondering if they went undercover or reinvented themselves as an All American MT. A lot of MTs were not applying with Synescribe because of its overseas affiliation. I could be wrong but this is my take on it. I think the recruiter was on here promoting this company or companies as basically one and the same. I'm sure there is a lot more to this story. All of it has turned me off to applying with Synescribe, All American or whatever they call themselves. Too Bizarre for me..along with that recruiter.
This was great suggestion, I did the first one yesterday.
The real free site is linked to ftc.gov and it's annualcreditreport.com. Very cool. Thanks for the suggestion about the 4-month gap; sounds great.
Great News!! I was able to cash the check yesterday. I called the branch directly and they said-sm
right now it was good. I do live in another state but her bank was bought by a bank that is local to me. I went there as soon as I could get there and they cashed the check for me!!! She owes me another small check ($84 and change) which I still have not received. I was beginning to think that I was never going to see this $$ (the last time I was able to cash a check from her was back in January). I guess if I bug her enough I will get my other funds. I think she just wants me to go away which I will as soon as I get all the funds owed me. She also owes me a 1099 but I am not going to stress over that. I still have my records. Thanks all for your ideas.
As a recruiter, I'd hire an Andrews grad in a New York minute. You're doing a great job of se
They are properly trained. They are ready and able to work from day #1.
Wouldn't YOU like to have training that made you a hot commodity the minute you graduate? Maybe you should go back to school so you can be an arrogant MT and not be penalized because you aren't cutting it.
As a famous model once said Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.
Good luck in your future endeavors.
just spoke to her - THEY DO NOT
NM
Spoke with them last Fri
and the recruiter told me that they don't really do part-time anymore. However, she also told me she would either email me over the weekend or call me Monday to let me know she had worked out a schedule for me...and that didn't happen. *pout*
I agree. I just spoke with NY and they said
an emphatic, "NO".
I did take their test and spoke with them sm
The dictators from the test weren't that bad and they are actually from the oncology acct I would have been on. I think the pay was about 8 cpl and you'd be an IC with a line requirement of 1500 a day. That's really all I can remember. I just didn't want to be an IC.
Very low pay when I spoke with them 1-1/2 years ago. nm

I spoke with her and she was very nice. (nt)
xx
You said you spoke to the owner.
You are not credible.
Why I spoke with the owner - sm
SHE called me, SHE hired me, SHE promised me a job at a certain rate, SHE gave me all kinds of excuses why the job never materialized and then I never heard from anyone again. Enough said.
I also spoke with the owner for the same
exact reasons. She called me, she hired me, she emailed me daily, she offered me account after account, which never materialized while I did crap work just waiting for her promises to be kept. Guess what? They never were!
Is that company you spoke of . .
Is that company you spoke of hiring IC? I have a part-time gig typing ER notes now and I'm not really happy there. Some QA people are so nice and polite and very helpful when you have a blank/question, but others are down right mean and rude -- very unprofessional. I have a ton of experience typing clinic -- not much ER. It is so hard to find companies that hire for clinic dictation and actually have enough work. The pool is almost always dry at the hospital. I really love typing ortho and oncology. Was hopeful to find full-time clinic work again in either of those two areas. I am so glad to hear from MTs who have found a light at the end of the tunnel. I worked for a few bad apples too. I get a lot of offers, but from crap companies. I was beginning to wonder if there were any good places left out there.
I got the call to and spoke with her...
The company's website is www.alsi-llc.com . She said she was looking for well versed rad MTs to work on VA hospital accounts..pay is 7 cpl.
ITA. I'm going one now who if he spoke up and wasn't
banging what s/l a stapler while dictating I might be able to do him. He has a very strong accent and I was halfway through the report before I learned the accent and after I finish I'll go back and relisten.
I spoke too soon I must need new glasses
.
I just spoke with the HR representative
on Friday. If you want her information, contact me directly and I can give you the information on who you might talk with.
Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM
,
I got a card and a gift.. as did everyone I spoke to
You may want to wait a few days and take that back.
oops, correction, spoke too soon -- sm
OSi does not appear to offer health insurance, etc. on their website ... they do offer holiday pay and other nice things ...
I spoke with the gentleman from Transcription Inc this morning - sm
Their headquarters or corporate office is in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is a start-up company, not in business yet. What else do you want to know?
You have GOT to be kidding. She was one of the nicest persons I ever spoke with regarding MT.
She is very upfront and open, and was even willing to discuss pay rate pretty much from the beginning, so I wouldn't waste time if the rate they could pay wasn't enough. I thought she was great.
I thought it was rude that they never spoke to me or let me test
Believe me, I have a lot of good experience and don't feel I am just entitled to a job. I am flexible on my hours and days and can do any work types. My equipment is state of the art.
It just really fries me to see these companies complaining about a shortage of MTs and then just brushing them off when someone good comes along. Do they really want quality MTs, or do they want newbies that they can pay nothing and walk all over?
The way I figure it, it is their loss, not mine.
Hi, Any new info on Teletrak in California? Just spoke....
with the recruiter and she is super-nice, everything seems great for an IC, just wonder if anyone has worked for them and what it is like....doing a balancing act here, any info would be sooooo appreciated!
Not personally, but I spoke with a friend this morning and she sm
has a friend who went to work there recently and so far is very happy there. Hope that helps even though it is only from one source.
I just spoke with a company from New Jersey today...sm
Rude was not the word for this recruiter...My goodness, makes me think that is the norm in New Jersey. geez!!!
The rep I spoke with on Friday mentioned 60 positions... nm

I currently spoke with a local hospital and their pay was hourly with an incentive (nm)

I remember Andrea or Ondrea. She was lovely whenever I spoke to her.

Great company, great boss, great account!!!nm

System great, pay good, everything great, but most managers from old Edix, problems, poor people ski
when you are out of work, you are out of luck. If you are good at brown-nosing, are tough enough to be without any self-esteem, and have maybe money coming into the household on the side in case you tick someone off, then you may succeed, for a little while.
Don't ever ask questions or have problems with anything. Don't ever have a problem. Don't think you will have any control over anything you do, either.
A few 'good' managers remained when I left, but the new ones were all from the old Edix, and were completely into numbers, cared nothing for individual MTs...if there is work, you BETTER be working. If there no work, you will hear nothing, no one will help you.
You are pathetic! I have a great life, loving family, work for a great company.
You might want to fix that.
You really don't have to shout (angry person), but yes you are wrong!!
That is my last word to you!
I will add that getting a great pay check every other Friday from Medware really puts a huge smile on my face.
MT's of yesterday
I, too, started doing MT in the old days. I started out with a selectric typewriter and dictabelts. I sure loved it. There were 12 docs on staff and I was the only transcriptionist. However, due to my then husband being in service, I stopped doing MT to follow him around. We have since been divorced and I am the administrative secretary to a hospital president. I still love MT better than any job I ever did.
yes - just yesterday again

Saw this yesterday
I saw a segment on a TV show yesterday where it was reported Hillary Clinton spoke to some Indian business leaders, and she told them she wants more visas issued so more can come over and start businesses [that will take away jobs]. The commentator did say she wanted to charge money for the visas [I don't know if they are currently free or just cheap] and that maybe she was just saying this to the Indian businessmen because she wants political contributions from them, because apparently elsewhere she has been saying she doesn't want jobs taken from Americans. In a later segment it was reported that China was going to start making cars to be sold in the US by Chrysler [Chrysler will only market them for China, they won't be making them here]. Right now if the US wants to send cars to China for sale the tariff they charge is 25%, but if China wants to send a car here to sell the tariff we charge is only 2.5%. Also if the US sells cars in China we have to make parts for the cars over there. No wonder the headline for this whole thing was called war on middle America. This is one of those times when I wish I was close to retiring.
Concerning VR yesterday for me
I check my line count each hour as I have always done and yesterday with an hour and 15 minutes on VR I had over 800 lines at 4 cents a line. The VR can be almost letter perfect but it takes good training in order to get it there. I said crud, hope am not working myself out of a job because the platform has turned out to be really good. I chuckled yesterday when reading 1 poster who said she had ESLs that VR would never understand. She would be, like me, completely taken aback to see just how good it can be, with the proper training. I made $32 hours yesterday for the first hour so that is not a bad salary. I hope VR will never be able to go straight through also because that means no job for me!
Yesterday was end of pp at TT and I'd like to know
who got their line count for the payperiod. I would like to hear honesty, not just that you got the whole pp line count in the first day, or anything like that. I need to find out if it is possible to do this, or if I need to start working all day every day from the first day of the pp and on every day to do it... Today is day 1 of the pp and I wonder if I should start now... though it would mean 24/7 checking the computer. Thank you for your input and suggestions on getting my required lines! Need the money and the benefits...
Oracle is great. Bayscribe is wonderful great line counts.
The trainer at OTI will always answer any questions about the platform and if you have any problems they have already worked them out, so just ask. Good luck!
YOG - Lots of work, great office staff, great money. NM
.
Loved Alltype! Great management and great accounts.
wah - i miss it there!
In a thread yesterday or the day before, a QT MT said that .... sm
she had heard from loose-lipped office staff, as I believe she put it. Soit was leaked out unintentionally but, I would imagine, not without merit.
Got mine yesterday - nm
x
I had no work yesterday....
...and this morning the same thing. I'm looking elsewhere. I can't pay bills if my fingers aren't makin' money! This is ridiculous. Plus, they are advertising to hire more MT's. There is no work for the ones that are employed there now.
I just did 2 reports yesterday out of 100 who were
on the wrong patient. I could tell. VR would not be able to. Because I was able to put Discrepancy Alert on the top of a report, it may have kept the unthinkable from happening.
I am hoping these scenarios will keep the quality conscious physicians with MTs who have a heart beat.
ok they told me yesterday and I do not....sm
I don't need to be told twice........I don't make the same error twice.
Have applied with them just yesterday. sm
Have done a search but cannot find too much information about them. Could you tell me why you are so happy with AllType, please?
