Here's why

In the 1990s I was MTSO of my own company, was doing pretty well until hospitals in my area started merging and then taking longer and longer to pay, a zillion people all started taking MT classes and then undercutting me and other long time MTs in our area. I had 8 subs to pay and suddenly what used to take 30 days to pay is now taking 120 days. Then I get real sick (working so much I ignored warning signs) and ended up having major surgery. When I went back to work the hospitals told me that my contracts would not be renewed unless I lowered my price per line. Not worth it. Went to work for a Friend in the business. She did not like to pay on time (all while building a 4000 sq foot house that we all knew about). Went someplace else, they ran out of work, went another place they didn't pay either. While I really like working at Transcend and have never had a problem with payment, there have been times in the past where work has run low...My family is just beginning to have some extra money again and I never want to be back where I was. I work for 2 really good places; friendly people, good work, good line rate, pay on time, flexible schedules so it works for me. Transcend is a really good place to work, I stand by that.
