Keystrokes is hiring. Can anyone tell me how much for their medical insurance benefits etc...
I am looking for a FT job with good medical benefits for either myself or family coverage. They are seeking ortho MTs and that is right up my alley. Thanks in advance for any help.
Thank you. Could you elaborate on the benefits, offer single medical coverage or family, PTO etc...
Thanks
Transolutions? Anyone know how good their medical insurance benefits are, costs, etc..specifically
family coverage. They say you only have to work 32 hours to be eligible so I'm curious what their benefits are like. Thanks
To Keystrokes employees: Has anyone heard anything about when a new, less expensive insurance (sm)
is starting?  I was told by a valid source it was to be February 1 but it apparently didn't happen then.  Has anyone else heard a different date?  TIA.
Care to elaborate on that a little more - sm
Is this the only job you've ever had?? I have interviewed for many jobs in my lifetime, some I was interested in, some I was not. Some that started at $20,000 and others starting at $60,000. I have never thought any questions were strange. The questions that you find strange are probably to weed out what kind of person you are, what kind of situations you can handle, etc. It's a lot easier, I think, than coming right out and asking the obvious questions. Heck, even Red Lobster asks "odd questions" during their interview process, such as, "if you were walking down the street and you THOUGHT you recognized someone across the street, but you weren't sure, what would you do or say?"

A lot of recruiters are generally screening for potential hires before passing them along to the person that does the actual hiring and has more information about particular positions. So in the incident you stated above, that particular recruiter may not necessarily have that information.
Care to elaborate, CC? nm

Would you, or anyone else, please care to elaborate?

High insurance premiums? not enough PTO or vacation time?? What's the pay? I was told it was 9 cpl..and that doesn't sound too bad these days.
Care to elaborate? Or you just making

Thanks.
I've never had a problem with my pay check at Medware. Care to elaborate? nm

Transcend interview today. Anyone care to elaborate on the ins and outs?

Their ad said Acute Care Transcriptionists and VR editors, so I am assuming that they do have some straight typing positions, right? I know waiting 120 days for benefits is a bomber, but I need something else like right now.  How is the pay, incentives, communication, platforms, etc.

Can anyone elaborate on Keystrokes
I would really like to know more about their process. Do you test? Anybody out there know of recent.
Don't care about benefits (sm)
I wouldn't mind working for someone else at 10-12 cpl as an independent with no benefits, no PTO, etc.

I just find it a slap in the face that after many, many years of transcribing, I'm being offered 7-8 cpl to work on someone's set schedule, buy my own equipment, work every weekend not by choice AND have to pay all the taxes out of it.

I'm simply looking for a primary and/or secondary account, 24 hour TAT but on my own schedule because I work better that way rather than having to transcribe from 8-5 or whatever. Left on my own, I can easily produce 2000-3000 lines a day.

I guess I'm picky but after 16 years in the business, I know what I do best at and what I can't stand. I have yet to find an MTSO that isn't out to make as much money as they can w/o compensating the people that actually do the work fairly.

Thus I basically wear all the hats, some weeks work 7 days a week, some days transcribe until 11:00 p.m. and am willing to do the extras the client asks for so I can do my own thing.
Insurance/benefits
Can anyone recommend a good company that doesn't have outrageous premiums for family health coverage?  It seems most places are running in the $500+ per month range.  Does that seem about right?  I've been working just part-time for the last few years and didn't need benefits until now, so I have really never looked into the insurance premiums.  Thanks in advance.
insurance/benefits
How affordable for family, and what about other benefits?
Medical Benefits?
What company currently provides the best/cheapest medical insurance?  I'm willing to switch from IC to employee if I can find a company that has reasonable benefits.  My husband lost his.  Any info appreciated!
PA health insurance benefits
I can't speak for all employers. I was manager of the transcription department for a large cardiology practice. Our health insurance premium was totally paid for (employee only). The company paid half of the premium for family coverage. Yes, those were the good old days! Now, as an employee with a national, I am looking at $400 per month for individual health insurance coverage with my current company.
I believe it's 90 days...I got my insurance benefits (sm)
after 90 days.
Help! Looking for good benefits, especially medical.
Spent the past couple of weeks applying for a few job openings and got offers from each company. For a variety of reasons, I am still looking but without exception, I found the benefits package insulting. I'm not that picky. Just want medical insurance that I can actually afford to take advantage of...reasonable deductible, at least fair to good coverage and premiums that won't break the bank. Any ideas?
Are there medical benefits for parttime? nm

Which company has the best medical benefits?
I have been searching for the company with the best medical benefits. After I test with the company and get a job with benefits they always offer crap insurance and it is expensive! Is there such thing as good benefits while working from home? I have been an IC for the past 10 years and never opted for insurance with companies that do offer it with employee status. I have also checked into private insurance, but the deductibles seem high. Thanks for any help or advice!!!
Does TransTech offer insurance benefits? nm
x
Yes, time clock. No insurance or any benefits for parttime.
x
You have to wait 90 days to quality for insurance and the other benefits. sm

There are 3 different plans for coverage -- basic, choice, and ultimate, I think -- and you choose which one is right for you. I do not have the paperwork handy, but it seems like good coverage at a reasonable price (single coverage, don't really remember about family), and you can also opt for dental and vision insurance.  You are right, though, the premium is deducted every 2 weeks.

Do you mean to say you have medical insurance etc??
Thanks for any information.
Medical Insurance

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a company that has medical insurance for its employees.  The company I work for now has just screwed us on the medical insurance and I am looking elsewhere.  Thanks. NM

Medical Insurance

I just want to remind everyone that the insurance coverage with a a company is very important, especially when single.  Do ask about the deductible.  Due to medical crisis, I faced 10 grand in medical bills which only added more stress to a very stressful situation.  And, that basically takes 10 thousand off my yearly income.

Good insurance coverage means so much, especially when there is not a secondary ins. in place.

Just wanted to share this.  :)

I don't take the medical insurance either BUT
Their other benefits are phenomenal.  They provide LTD, STD, flexible spending account, 401K with match and they pay your vision insurance for the family.  They have an awesome PTO rate and you get paid for downtime IF you run out of work, which doesn't happen very often.  I can't remember the last time I was out of work.
Says medical and business expense benefits (whatever that means).
Company equipment provided. F/T and PT, then apply on line.
desperately need medical benefits, prescription coverage...sm
Can anyone recommend the companies that have good, solid, affordable medical coverage that has excellent prescription coverage for a single mom.  Thank you for all your replies in advance.  I need to get going on this ASAP.
Are there any companies out there that offer benefits to PT employees, such as health insurance?
I know it's a rarity but I know hospitals do.
Focus Infomatics..anyone have information on the cost of their insurance or other benefits?
I heard they recently started offering their employees insurance...just wondering the cost and if it's good insurance. Thanks
I love my job but I think I lost my insurance benefits. Has anyone else not met the pay period quota
one time and had their insurance taken away? I think it happened to me. I fell short this payperiod on my time ($90) as I was ill for a couple of days and had no PTO time to use. Now, my insurance premiums were not taken out so I am afraid they canceled my insurance, which was the largest reason I have stayed. I needed the good insurance etc..not to mention that I just like working there and my supervisors. I did make more than enough for them to have taken out the premiums so I feel like this was just an excuse to cancel it. Now, if I have to wait another 120 days to qualify again, I will have to end up quitting and that is not a great feeling, but I know I can get a job somewhere else and not have to wait so long to have insurance again. I'm just sickened. I can't believe they would do this in one pay period. I work 7 days a week usually, all hours of the day and night and I just can't grasp they would do this. I have worked there over 2 years. So, do they really do this, for anyone who has had this happen before. Maybe, they are just suspending the insurance this pay period but I don't see how they can stop it one pay period and start it back in 2 weeks on the next pay period. Anyway, stressed out!!!
I honestly don't care what you think. Every heard of somebody being
How bout that, Steph?
sorry...if I chose not to take the benefits as I don't need them. Never heard back. nm

Is the NWU offering medical insurance again?
I had great insurance at a great rate through them years and years ago, then they dropped it because the cost was prohibitive. If they are offering it again, I applaud them. They are a good union and very unconfrontational, well spoken (guess that's a mute point, eh?) but still don't have the big bucks it would take to promote the MT industry on the level that is needed. Almost every American MT would need to join and NWU would need to find a lobbying group to help.

Employee Medical Insurance
Are there any national companies that pay the full premium for employee medical coverage or is this only offered if you work outside the home?  Thanks.
That is so NOT the purpose of medical insurance. nm

How are the medical insurance rates?
Did they go up too? They were interested in me a couple of months ago, but I did not call them because I had already picked someone else. I know they are great, but did their insurance rate for employee and children, or family go up like everyone else? I am considering contacting them again. Although I don't want to change jobs at all, if their rates are good I won't have to spend most of my paycheck on medical. Please someone let us know here. It is an important issue!
Zylomed Medical Insurance
Can anyone who works for Zylomed who has employee status give me some info on how their medical insurance benefits are?  Thanks!
So if you have a medical claim, the insurance - sm
doesn't pay anything until you've forked out the first $2,000? That's appalling!
They don't pay for vision unless you have medical insurance.
When I first started they paid for vision, but unless you get medical coverage it is no longer free, unless it changed with the enrollment that is going on now.
It is a major holiday - who wants to have elective medical care
Don't worry, in a few weeks, the work will be back around. Got any PTO? I have a side PT job for times like these but they have no work either. So, many of us are without work right now.
YOU aren't providing medical care, toots!
Who the h*** are you to say whether or not I care if others have insurance.

If you think medical care should not be a business, perhaps you should go live in a socialist or communist society and see just how far your idea that medical care should be provided for everyone idea goes! We DO have government-subsidized insurance available. We also have a society who wants high pay for low-skill jobs and then spend all their money eating out (getting fat, needing more meds and healthcare), buying big vehicles that they can't afford, hanging satellite dishes outside of their $200 trailers, and filling their living rooms up with 1000 movies and video games that teach their children a violent way of life and keeps them on their fat butts! LOL
