I am only part time but I work for Scan Medical Serv. and another company and I am just asking
 if other MTs are seeing their work getting very sparse with this company and if she has lost work or what the problem is. I am thinking of moving on to another job offer if this continues.
Just started with DSG not too long ago and finding a shortage of work right now. Do they overhire
sometimes or what. Seems it goes in spells. Anyone seeing the same thing right now. This started before the holiday time.

But I can honestly say that they are the best company I have ever worked for.... Tons of work, excellent communication, very laid back, and a great bunch of people to work for.

I do know that the client has had to take work back from this work pool as all of the transcriptionists failed to work their required lines and work was at TAT.

Yes, they are reliable as far as a company. Pay is on time and direct deposit and they utilize DocQScribe. I left because even though I have HEAVY ESL experience, these were some of the worst dictators I had ever had

MQ NE work drying up
Just read on MQ's home page that they won a HUGE account down south, a hospital chain with locations in Texas, Missouri, Louisianna, etc.
That would hopefully add some work for that region, it may be worth checking into.

It seems most of the jobs I see posted are for clinic accounts, even at my own company. I happen to do acute care now, but now I'm wondering how long it's going to last. I don't want to do clinic notes.

Anyone work on Chartscript that can tell me how you like it. Also I am finding
that IC is being offered 8 cpl with a lot of experience. Is that the going rate. Until you pay your taxes etc you are lucky at that rate to get 6.5 cpl.

I wanted to ask anybody out there who works of TT Hughes Satellite system for high speed internet service? We dont have DSL or cable out here in the boonies yet.
You have to keep wondering with the new MQ pay plan that we havent gotten yet if they are going to
reduce the ASR rates or what have you and are hiring in case people decide to quit when the new rates come out. I have not heard yet what will happen with the ASR rates although they have said many times they are going to change them.

Medical field is 24/7 work unless you work for a clinic or stand alone operation.
I just look at the other cool people working holidays and weekends in the ICU, ER, paramedics,and am glad to be there. When you work in a hospital for a length of time, it becomes a necessary evil to show up at the worst possible times.
Having a family or a life you'd miss from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 8 PM must be hard and
I think that there is a place for you where they can meet your requirements (M-F). There are plenty of those jobs.
I havent found a 9-pin to USB and I have looked everywhere. One place
told me that 9-pins were becoming extinct in other words so they didnt even bother selling adapters for it. I have no idea why the platform company, Escription, does not have their program updated so you can at least use a 15-pin that you can buy an adapter for and my laptop would take a 15-pin, but all Escription is compatible with is a 9-pin unless something has changed and no one told me.
I does end with an "S"..but if they havent jacked you around, I wouldnt worry about it.
I think for me, I'm probably going to bail. It's obvious the recruiter has too much on her plate as we're all getting the same story about forgetting things and contacting us in a timely manner etc..very strange but in this biz..flaky is the name of the game and they think we're the flaky, job hoppers.. I wonder why..Give us a decent job with decent benefits and actually WORK and we'd be happy, but that doesn't happen anymore. We just get jacked around.

yes, they are good to work for, strictly IC, local accounts.

She is good to work for as far as pay on time, flexibility, etc. The accounts are heavy ESL as stated before. Weekends are mandatory but you choose the time, so its not too bad. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I can tell you this, if you do your required lines and do a good job, when the work is low you will be kept working and others will be called off that continually don't meet their expectations.

The only thing I have ever heard that vaguely resembled a threat is when the accounts are backed up and people don't pitch in, she will mention that while she doesn't want to hire, she might have to, and that could end up meaning less work for the people who want/need it. Also, I may have not been threatened because I always do meet my line commitment and if I can't and know it it advance then I let her know. That's common consideration.
Yikes!!!! No offense but more than 1 MT has said they havent gotten paid. I cant take a chance.

Chartscript- Just starting a job using this platform. I havent begun training yet but in looking at
the manual, it looks complicated or that you have to open up a lot of thing, I-player or something, a VPN, then the platform etc. Tell me it will be easy to learn and your able to whip through reports. I got spoiled on Escription where you just load the platform and go and then hit on button to upload. No VPN to sign into and load, no player. Just one thing. I think I'm getting to old and set in my ways to learn new systems. It seems like a hassle, so if there are any Chartscripters out there who can give me some positives, I'm all ears. I tried one other job that was the same thing and even got worse when I had to open up a ton of screens just to get demographics etc..and that was before I could even type the thing. I just cant see how that would be productive. You have 10 minutes into it before you even type the job LOL.
Please just scan through and ignore any MQ news. (sm)
As with any company, when something new comes up there are quite a few posts about it, this happens to be a large company and has a lot of employees.
Just scan through the headings, you don't have to open each one. I bet it will only take a few minutes to do.

I havent heard a word about an incentive and I have worked there almost 2 years so I guess I didnt
qualify for whatever status you needed to get an incentive. Is this something you get every pay period if you meet a quota or just something quarterly. Just curious.
First Choice Medical might work. sm
The minimum daily requirement is 30 minutes of dictation. People are wonderful, QA is gently strict, and the pay is good. Don't know if it's hiring, though. IC only.

Do you set your own schedule or have certain times they want you to work? I worked as an IC before and they made me work a 10 hour window every monday through friday. How is Medware?
