horrible, horrible contact person! Worst experience ever. SM
Turned it down because of the arrogance and attitude.
That was not long ago. Ads run every 2 - 3 months.
Horrible company, horrible dictators, ESL
at its absolute worst, sound quality horrible. The MTs I did QA for were horrendous. They made up words, obviously didn't use a spellchecker, couldn't get the hang of something as simple as copying and pasting Preop diagnoses to postop diagnoses and would type same again and again. QA manager would send out updates for new drugs, equipment and have things misspelled, frequently got e-mails that evidently were sent because someone wanted to feel important, absolutely no useful information, management problems, lots and lots of turnover, including management. The CEO has no clue about transcription and is in it for the money. After talking with him you feel like you need a shower.
I'm considering TRS now. What was your horrible experience?
n.m.
My experience with them was horrible, too.
I was also told the same thing by the rude woman. If you don't like it, quit. We only want people here who meet our needs. We need weekend editors for the offshored work and people to work the night shift AFTER I was hired to work days. Merit sucks, too. I'm so glad I got out of there and found my new company.
8 cpl as an IC is horrible for any MT with experience.
That's equivalent to about 6 cpl as an employee with benes. No thanks!
My recent experience with them was horrible.
There are a couple of MW cheerleaders here who bash me every time, but there are far better companies out there. They offshore. The sound quality and ESLs suck, for lack of a better word. I got ZERO QA feedback. They send out tons of emails and documents that don't even apply to everyone. They were completely rude and unhelpful to me.
Horrible experience at Meridian
What you have heard about the owner is all true. She is nice as pie one minute and then evil the next. The QA process is horrible. You have routed work and will not have it when you need it. I have to say the system was okay but that is it. Oh, if you do not send your time sheet in on time or you do and they say you didn't, expect not to get paid. Run!!!!
Most horrible experience in my life! nm

Same experience...awesome to work for, horrible platform..sm
I've been an MT for close to 20 years and am most productive on ER accounts where I can create my own templates and Expanders out the ying yang. After 2 months and the worst line counts of my entire career, I had to move on. I do want to point out that PM does have some of the nicest, most helpful staff I've ever worked for! The platform is the ONLY reason I left.
I had the same experience. Horrible account, nonexistent communication. What's wrong with these
nm
I hope my company flies under the radar. This is horrible what happens to one company sm
after another on this board. The owners must have very thick skin. First TT, then Amphion, now Keystrokes. No one is safe. I hope everyone takes all they read with a grain of salt. I have met a few of the owners of the some of the bigger services, and they are all very nice, including those that own Webmedx, Keystrokes, Execuscribe, Medware, MDI and Transcend. I hate to think how they feel when they read things on here, even though they all say they don't read the posts here and advise against it. I don't know how they don't read them; I look just to make sure that no one mentions mine.
Horrible, horrible, horrible place. Unlike the other poster
I actually worked there. Sound quality is horrendous. The account I had was the worst ESL I've ever had and I do 85% ESL so I have no problems doing ESL. Frequent management turnover. When I was doing QA the work was so bad that I pretty much had to redo every report. I hear about how well they pay, but they don't pay that well and certainly not enough to compensate for all the other stuff.
This company is horrible and you'd be better
off not taking a position with them. There are issues with their line counts with MTs being cheated - this is in addition to horrible management, horrible dictators, horrible QA people ......
Horrible company!
Do not work for this company. They want their work 12 TAT or sooner. They will drive you crazy!!!
Horrible company!!
Do not work for this company. The pay is horrible!!! They pay $4.25 per 1,000 words. That's like 5 cents per line!!!
They are such a horrible company they can't keep
good, qualified people, so they have to give newbies a chance so they can get the work done.
Yup...horrible company
Someone else just asked about them a week or two ago. I worked there almost 2 years ago for about a month as an IC. They are an Indian company. They just have a store front location in Massachusetts, but they only do payroll and HR there. The account leads, QA, and trainers are all in India, and these are the people that you will always be dealing with. I also found that the pay was on the low side. The training was horrible because of the huge language barrier, and I didn't learn a thing. I was always running out of work and the QA, account leads, and technical support, in my experience, were pretty rude. I was even yelled at one time because I called for tech support and couldn't understand them! They also deduct pay for errors. I got out a few weeks after I started. I just couldn't take it anymore. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to work for them.
TTS is a horrible company.
xxx
SS is a horrible company, but as far as the
lack of work I've heard several people complain about it lately and are trying to pick up some part-time work.
They are a horrible company and they did you
a favor if you decided to look elsewhere.
WHAT?! What a horrible company.
x
Lots. Horrible company.
Sound quality horrible, dictators beyond horrible. Late paychecks, constantly changing ways to get lines, horrible management.
Sounds like a horrible company to me
They pay 5 cpl, charge you if you send reports to QA, and only pay once a month. Also, someone posted an article about the owner below that was in BusinessWeek. It states how much debt she is in cuz she's not aggressive about making sure her clients pay her. Also, she charges 12 cpl, but then only pays the MTs 5???!!! Why would anyone work for a company like that?
Horrible company. Bad dictators,
platform has got to be the worst thing out there. They are run by a bunch of people who don't know what they are doing. They all tell you to do something different when it comes to the account specs. Impossible to make any money there.
SoftScript is a horrible company, would not be on my
top 10 companies. I haven't worked for Transcend. I hated WMX too. I had heard lots of good things about them, but I sure didn't see it. There have been lots of bad posts about them lately.
Horrible company, they are legit though.
There is a reason they are always hiring. Lots in the archives.
Worked there 2 years ago..horrible, horrible, horrible.
Would totally avoid them at all costs.
Worst company out there. Horrible sound
quality, horrible ESLs, system not user friendly, loopy QA. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.
Read through the archives, horrible company.
The dictators are some of the worst ESLs, sound quality is horrific, the reports are so bad I had to basically retype them, flaky QA, management problems, etc.
A horrible company who does not value truth or the employees.

Sounds like the company I work for now. Horrible
it. The company in general is also very, very strict on QA, so there's never a relaxed minute as the newbie on the block, and the cliques! Its cruel. I feel like I'm in school again, getting left out and laughed at and even set up for failure. There is always someone calling out sick, etc., as you describe, and I am told I always have to be the one to cover due to seniority, or my lack of it. Its so upsetting that I'm just about to throw in the towel myself. I'm sorry I can't recommend anyone other than MQ QA, but I heard they are no longer hiring QA staff. They used to pay really, really well and the conditions were fine. Best of luck to you.
Great platform, horrible company
NM
Judging from previous posts they are a horrible company.
THey offshore big time. If you'll search the archives you'll find lots on them.
All the old reviews say they're horrible. Listen to those MTs and choose another company. nm

SoftScript is the worst - horrible accounts, horrible management, don't go there! nm
nm
Horrible accounts, horrible sound quality, etc
The only time SoftScript would not be wonderful is if you aren't doing your job. They are an extremely professional company. Sounds like someone may not have lived up to their standards.
Horrible, horrible place. Lots in the archives.
Horrible platform. Horrible communication.
Horrible people who say one thing and then when you do what they say, they get mad and act ugly.
Enough of a bone?
Bad Experience with company
Anybody ever quit working for a company and then have them treat you like dirt? I recently gave notice at a company and they wanted to know the reason I was quitting. I was very honest with them about the reason why and they said you are done working for us now. I was in no way unprofessional in my explanation of why I was leaving, and felt I did not deserve that kind of treatment. I was very disappointed in them as I thought they were better than that. I guess I am better off now not working for them.
May not be the best company, but is not bad for experience.
I don't know where they rate as far as companies go. I worked with them for a while and they were okay. The account I was on hardly ever ran out of work, platform was easy, client specs were clear. They followed the BOS.
Good luck to you.
In my experience, a company is not going to wait
for you for a month or so. They will most likely tell you to reapply when you are ready. Best bet in this market is to stick with your company - sounds like the Q - and try out the new company at the same time - Since you are needing bennies, you won't be able to do part-time with your current employer, but that is sort of how it is out here in MT world right now. The jobs are there now, and they have thousands of applications at any given moment. So its best to try to juggle 2 to be sure the new one isn't the same as the old one - which has happened to me so many times that I stuck with my old job. That's very hard to do during the holidays, though, so maybe just wait til the New Year?
This is unbelievable- Anyone experience this from a company
I am an IC with this company working 4 hours in the evenings. True enough, I had to agree to set hours; however within those 4 hours I transcribe a full-time line amount 1000 to 1100 lines. Yesterday,I sent co-owner of the company (supervisor) note saying I needed to stop at 2 p.m instead of 3 p.m. because I needed to see a doctor for my knee and that if I didn't make that appointment I would have to suffer through the weekend with a painful knee. Since this was a spur of the moment appointment and they worked me in, I did not want to miss it. I also informed her that when I returned, I would make up the 1 hour. Well she sent me a message back saying you have stay on line until 3 o'clock, take an ibuprofen and you'll be fine. This dialogue between the 2 of us went on for I know about 10 minutes or more. Then she told me, you still have time to go to a doctor after 3 p.m. You have to stick to your schedule. Now, I had already done 1500 lines at that point, because on Fridays I work 7 to 3 p.m. She went on to say, you agreed to a schedule and you must stick to it. I asked her what about when people have emergencies or things come up you cannot control. She did not want to hear it. I have an in-hospital MT job (for 3 months now) and she said she didn't think my employer would allow me to take off like that. I informed her that my employer would be more than willing to allow me to take off for a medical problem, because they know my health is more important than the job, because if I am not well, I cannot work anyways. Now there are times she ask me to work as much as you can, any day you can, all day if you can. So at those times, I guess it doesn't matter that I don't stick to my schedule. I reminded her that I was a contractor and not one of her employees. My full-time job at the hospital is ran though the County, and there has been mismanagement of the money and they have reduced our hours to 32 a week, which is why I took on the IC position. If I didn't really need this part-time job, you know what I would have told her to do with it. Plus the pay is 10 cpl and it is real easy to get your lines. Oh well, just needed to vent to my fellow MTs.
Would like to know if others experience poor feedback from their company when you need them.
Just simple easy to answer questions are e-mailed. Never get a response. This is so aggravating. But when they need you to do extra work because of the backlog, the e-mails are coming back to back. Are there any companies out there that treat you as if you are more than just a number. I am fed up with eTransPlus.
Can't seem to find any information on MD-IT. Does anyone have any experience with this company?
:-)
I worked for this company and it was the worst experience of my career.
I would advise you to search the archives on this board. You will be able to make your own decision based on that info.
Any OSI radiology MTs care to share your experience with this company?
.
Anyone currently work for All Type or have recent experience with the company? sm
I'm currently exploring my options, and was impressed with the $1000 signon bonus offered, but wondering about the usual things -- quality and quantity of work available, pay on time, etc.
Any input would be appreciated.
No, I haven't been. I told my true experience of working for that company.
I don't have a negative attitude. You're the one who can't handle it when someone disagrees with you.
Here's how to safely post a bad experience with a company - just write "have you tried

My experience with quality/quantity with an Indian owned company
|
I worked for an offshore owned company where it was all about quantity. Company even kept a HORRIBLE MT just because she cranked out the lines. Didn't matter her quality was crap and was considered a joke by middle managment. India did most typing but with US edit. Typists changed regularly so it wasn't like they learned to do better. Quality would improve slightly and then would notice, after couple of months, that quality was crap again so we knew we were dealing with a new batch of typists. Even so, the push was always on to get the jobs off US edit and send Indian work straight to client. Of course, the clients never knew they were not getting US editing anymore, as they got no price reduction when they no longer had that level of work being done on their jobs. The problem is the facilities accept the crap work so why should the companies change. It took a while but I finally found a US owned company where quality matters. Now one of the first questions I would ask a prospective employer is if they are US owned. |
depends on work type, experience, spaces, company, area
