I joined JLG about 9 month ago and I am thrilled with the experience that I have had.  Although the company has been around for 20+ years, a group of good industry veterans who know how to operate fairly to both employees and clients have joined the company in the past year.  I followed my manager from another giant company. 

I have also worked on this account and it was plauged with problems from the start.  The hospital required the account to be implemented in a matter of days, there were technical issues and the hospital management staff was new and the employees were mad because transcription had been outsourced.  Personally, I won't miss this client but good luck to those that get it.

And MTSOs don't have greedy CEOs??  Who pushes outsourcing, VR, MT pay cuts, etc?  Not the hospitals!  The AAMT, et.al. have been around a long time before the MT industry went sour.  And who is the greedy middleman who saw a fast buck to be made with MTs?  Not the hospitals. (Guess who the middleman who's making that buck is.)  Does it makes sense that hospitals would pay their other employees the going wage for their respective positions and have a hand in undercutting only the MTs.  They (hospitals) have no direct say in our salaries.  Sure, they will try to obtain the most cost-effective contracts, whether MT, cleaning personnel, cafeteria workers, etc.  Who wouldn't?  Do you hear their employees blaming the hospitals when they're not paid prime wage?  They're making top $$$.  Let's put blame where blame is due!

You state that if hospital CEOs weren't so greedy, the poor MTSOs could pay their MTs more.  DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT, IF THAT WERE THE CASE, THE MTSOs WOULD PASS ON THE EXTRA BUCKS TO THEIR MTs???  Really?  Don't you think they'd put it in their own greedy little pockets?? ( If you're not a MTSO yourself) ... think about what makes more sense!

I'm past that "honeymoon" stage of the first few months that another poster mentioned.  I still find them to be the best for me.  Never run out of work, always there for questions, including timely responses, great people (QA and otherwise). 

I'd highly suggest contacting either your supervisor or Jane (as she offered) about lack of work.  As you should see on the daily reports, there is plenty of work out there.

good benefits.  The pay could be more, but at least there is a production incentive tier that is not too tough to achieve.   Overall, I would say this is probably one of the best places I have ever worked.  If the no work situation continues, I guess I will just have to call them and ask for a secondary.  Everyone in the office has always been very helpful and supportive.   I just get nervous when it is not a holiday or anything and no files are available.  That is just my little thing, I guess.  I still would not hesitate to recommend the company to anyone.
