Great post! I make 0.085 at Keystrokes and make more than at any sm

In Reply to: I am growing tired of this sm - You know me well and I'm a TTer
other company in the last 5 years. Why? Because there is always work for me. I love starting work each day, knowing that the company I work for appreciates me and has plenty of work. Transtech and Keystrokes sound very similar; those of us that work for either can count our blessings that we are not part of the cesspool or huge corporate mess that makes up the biggest few companies. We do not have to worry about our jobs getting sent overseas and we see a future in this business!!!

I recommend Keystrokes too. I make great money, have a lot of work and have sm
been around the block a time or two.
I have worked for them for 6 months but had worked for them previously (in 2003). I left for several reasons but all of them have been resolved. I think a big part of the improvement is due to direct deposit and the office. When I worked for them before, the owner ran things from her home office but now there is an office that has a lot (not sure how many) people in it and I can get answers and help quickly when I need it.
I think that they had some growing pains but resolved them. I know that they are still growing, even faster than ever from what my lead tells me. If you have a lot of hospital experience, they are hiring for two new accounts and need good MTs.
I make great money there
I do not do radiology, but ER and basic 4, and I make 10 cpl, have tons of work, and make a great living there. That is just my own experience. Others may have had different experiences there.
I make 9.5 cpl at Keystrokes and am very happy
I started at 9, and now at 9.5. I make excellent money there for less than 10 cpl because there is always tons of work.
Temping is a great way to make contacts,
learn new specialties, and even pick up a permanent job (which happened to me three times). If you have your own clients, temping is also good for extra money if your docs get slow. Best of all, if it doesn't work out, you just walk away. Good luck!
Great tip! Change, delete, or add as you go to make
s
It will be great experience if you can stick it out, and make
nm
Thanks -- that does help! That is great ... some make you wait 90 days. nm

Keystrokes, if you can't make it there, I would not apply to any other national
this is just my opinion (and I am entitled to it). I have been with several nationals and I have found Keystrokes to be the most honest, not assigning bad dictation to new transcriptionists. Becky is a wonderful asset and bends over backwards on the front end to help. I have worked there twice (WILL NEVER LEAVE AGAIN)and had to find out the hard way it is a cold, cruel world with other nationals and their games. I have not found Keystrokes to play them, just get the work done and back to the hospitals and that is what I am paid to do.
When I worked for Keystrokes, I NEVER had enough work to make
even 1000 lines a day! If I had enough work, maybe, but I NEVER did. It ALL depends on your account 150%!!
I work at DDS and love it. Make great money!
Thanks for your response! I have also read Beyondtxt is not as great as they make it seem.
Keystrokes clinic MTs, do you make good money?
IME it's hard to make good money doing clinic when paid by the line; some of the notes are only two sentences long. Just wondering if it's any better at Keystrokes, i.e., good combination of short and long notes.
Keeps track of keystrokes and websites. Monitors you to make
s
I work on a great platform, have good QA support and make
a lot more than 8 cpl. I even have GREAT benefits, which are more than affordable. There are good companies out there that pays for experience!!!!
Make great money with EditScript - it will learn the formatting

Not blind. Brown nosers make great workers for the
w
did not make IT cleAr in your 1st post
that you are scared about your paycheck!
Now I understand COMPLETELY!
Before you post something like this, you should make sure you know the facts. sm
The account was not lost. KS dropped the account due to several factors. The email that went to all the cardio MT's on the account was not correct. Only one portion of the account is not to be typed on, not all of it.
Once again, someone posts company information INCORRECTLY.
KS is going through all accounts and deciding to keep them or not, as some are not worth having. This has been going on for 3 months, and they have dropped 4 accounts that I personally know of as I was asked input on 2 of them.
OK, all of you on VR who make $20 an hour, please post.
And please, not the same 1 person posting over and over again who is obviously MANAGEMENT. If you are truly making that much money doing VR, I would hate to see the quality of your work. Oh, wait, I probably already have. Looking up old reports, the quality I am seeing is... not that great, to put it mildly. Obvious, GLARING errors. VR: Good for MTSO. Not good for MT--or for PATIENT CARE, to put it mildly!
Nothing we post here will make a difference?
If anything we post here keeps someone from getting suckered by a greedy MTSO, or making a bad career mistake, its worth it! We tell the truth about non-payers, liars, scammers, and the good companies as well. This board is where company reputations are made and lost - and that is how it should be! Thank god for this board, where the truth is told and the people who are blowing sunshine up our skirts are outed!
I doubt you will make enough money in 5 hours a week to make
nm
I make 4 cents a line, work part and make
over $500 a week on part.
I'm sorry you're in a bad place, but when you make a post
others who are currently working for or are looking for employment with Medware. I honestly think you need to give at least a little explanation instead of doing such a hit and run comment. But I really do wish you the best. I hope you get a better job soon. (By the way, I don't think anyone pays too much attention to Wilma :).
You're right...that post doesn't make any sense...sm
How could high producers mess things up for the rest of us, when, in the past few weeks, we were offered incentives on most of the accounts to keep them in TAT by working extra?? And how could a responsible member of management even state something to that effect? The only logical conclusion is that this particular poster wants to discourage high production (on his-/her OWN accord) in other MTs to keep the pickings greener for him-/herself.
Good post MissIndigo....I make 6.5 cents for VR sm
and I do agree it would be difficult to do it at 4 cents a line. We are fortunate, and yes it is possible to increase speed even after a year of doing VR, 4 cents still would seem completely unfair to me. I have in no way doubled my production lines. I may have increased by 50% or 75% of normal line rate, so I think 6.5 to 7 cents is more than fair. No matter what the rate, no one in this industry should think is easy and not have to pay extremely close attention. Good luck to you Ms. Indy. You have a great attitude, I watch your posts. You are a true professional.
your post doesn't make much sense. Find another job then? That's what the rest of us do!
Well, I fall above the average I guess. Would rather not post as not to make others feel bad or thin
x
Yeah, but we don't make what docs make. nm
nm
But we don't even make what in-house make.
It would be different if we made the same as the in-house MTs. In a lot of cases, most of the people working in-house make much more including benefits than we do at home as full-time employees. That's where I think the unfairness comes in. The in-house employees don't all work every single weekend. Most of them rotate at a much higher salary and much better benefits. The MTs at home are expected to fill in for the in-house for less money, less benefits and give more and more back in the form of weekends and holidays. Most remote MTs only receive benefits contingent on production, and even then they're not nearly as good as in-house benefits. How is that equal in the healthcare team perspective?
you might want to make sure you don't make yourself look like an IDOT before you go any further.

I make $1.10 per report and make much more sm
than by the line. Day by day it varies and goes back and forth, but over a long period, it is better by the report. Make sure they pay links though; this is key.
Do Shapin MTs really only make 6 cpl and QAs make 1.5 cpl?
/
Why can't you make money with all OPs? I do all OPs and make
good money. I'm not with WebMedX though.
I'm happy with what I make. I still make more than if I went anywhere else and hardly noone in th
biz gives raises so I feel blessed that I make a lot more than most, raise or no raise.
And always make sure you don't make line
counts that amount to anything. They always place you with impossible ESLs as soon as you start making decent money.
I make more than that with Spheris but never have work. I would rather make $1.25 and have work. s
My SIL works for KS, and she gets paid double for linked reports too. Where do you get $2.25? I am ready to leave Spheris.
Make sure you have some (sm)
money saved up so when they don't bother to send your paycheck or give you excuses, run out of work constantly or take a long time setting you up, you won't go bankrupt.
Okay, those using DQS, how do you do it? How do you make (sm)
your line count? How do you everything??? Is Instant Text V Pro anything like Smartype where you key in a few letters and the list comes up? I'm so stressed from trying to learn this program. Any, and I mean any, positive pointers you can share would so oh so appreciated!!! Please help!
Did you make more as an MT or are you
nm
make, not may nt
Well you would still make more if
you typed 15,000 instead of 11,000.
I make even less than that for IC . Nm : (
x
PS - I make top $$
well over 0.10/line on one a/c. Nobody does 20-25 reports/hr on this 100+ MD a/c.
Why not? Do you think they are just trying to make themselves look better on the
to all the outsourcing talk? It's okay now since they got a bonus?
None of what they make you go SM
through is really worth the job you end up with. It's a very average place, with average work, average pay. You can do the same elsewhere without the hassle.
How much do you make (FT or PT)? (sm)
and how are you paid?
see and I say take the IC, just make sure
you have a professional prepare your taxes and find a CPA who is up on at home business laws. I have been an IC for nine years. I get to write off a portion of my mortgage payment, utilities, etc. It works for me.
Me too. I make over $20 but you have to
get in with the right company. Do not let companies undermine QA by accepting positions that lessen our very purpose!
I will not say my company name because needless to say they do not get openings very often and yes they pay hourly.
I make 9.5 cpl as an IC with 27 Y sm
experience. I just started with them.
How is it you don't know what you make?
:+
I know what I make...
I'm just not posting it here.
