This is breathtaking information and everyone who works at TT or is considering has the right to know. It will be buried with a title like is this news? It seems as if you are responding to the first poster's complaint of no work.

BAD COMPANY ALERT!!!!
Trust me on this one, stay away from D&L Typing Service, Inc. The worst company I have encountered in my 20+ year working life. DO NOT accept a job with them. Treatment of transcriptionists is very very poor. Pay is terrible. Checks sent through mail, wrong amounts and late. Never know when or how much going to be paid, and then impossible to get accounting to return phone calls. Horrible company.
You must be psychic. I just ended up going on Ebay today and bought a Dell with Windows XP on it.
I originally went through Dell directly but they charged $400 more for the same computer because they were customizing it with Windows XP as now all the computer came standard with Vista. Apparently not so customized..haha.. better deals on Ebay.. I LOVE EBAY..

I was working for Healthscribe when Spheris bought them out; I have to say that I have had nothing but a positive experience with them thus far. We don't seem to be micromanaged; quite the contrary. I can get up and walk around to stretch my legs and at times am gone for 20 minutes or so and no one calls me or e-mails me. Communication is wonderful from my supervisor on up to management. The only downside is that they are so short-staffed that there is mandatory overtime for the radiology accounts so if you want to make $$$, this would be the place to go. Hope this is helpful.

They made the Inc. 500 list of the Fastest Growing Companies In The US for 2005. THAT'S something positive for ya!

It just means they are following in MQ's footsteps. Buying people out. Just because you are on the list of Fastest Growing Companies does not make you a good place to work for. They are getting too big too fast.

The best thing for you would be to stay away from Spheris. I worked there and also worked when it was Edix. Edix was the best, but Spheris is not a very good company to work for. Transcend--I am not sure, had an offer there and never heard back. Softscript--Can't help you there either.

I used to work for a company who had Vianeta.
The platform was pretty good for me. All the DI screen info was filled in for you, and you just added the date of service. It was nice...compared to where I am working now where I have endless areas to fill in. Blech! I liked Vianeta!

When Transcend bought the company I worked for we were told they did not do IC, just PT/FT... sm
so this is news to me! Maybe they allow different things for different companies they buy. I also understood a little while after the merger that all accounts would move over to their platforms, but now I am reading that maybe not all of them did with other mergers. I am sorry you all are going through this! I remember how it was thrown on us so quickly too.

No news is good news for me. I check my audited reports all the time
If I need to talk with one of them, I call or IM them. But, no, I have learned that if I am doing a good job, they leave you alone to do your work. They are not in any way a company that micromanages as long as you do what you are supposed to. If you give them a reason to think you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing, they will keep an eye out on your work, etc.

I did talk to the company today. SM
She is mailing my check via Fed Ex. The original must have gotten lost in the mail. My intention was not to post negatives about the company.... and I do not feel that I have. My original post was to inquire if whether or not anyone else was waiting on a check, as there are some companies that do have problems here and there, whether it be the payroll company they use, etc.
I am sorry if anybody saw my post as a negative about the company. It was just an inquiry, that's all, and everything has been resolved quickly and wonderfully. StatIQ is great place to work and I would never discourage anyone from working for them.

Just took a test today for a company and I am amazed how rusty I am after not testing for years and
years. I had to really think about things again. I guess after you test enough you get used to it. That is the first one I took in about 13 years. I just more or less did it to see how it was. Should be interesting to see how it went because I really dont want to work for the company I just wanted to take the test. A lot of tricky questions in it.
My company rocks. Got an E-mail today from our manager about cherry picking (sm)
stating they noticed jobs were getting cancelled once and sometimes twice by same person and that the more difficult dictators were getting picked over. They stated it would not be tolerated and cherry pickers would be addressed and possibly terminated.
I know this is a huge undertaking and may not always get 100% done, but at least they are aware and taking a stand. Perhaps the guilty people will grow up and take the time to learn those dictators now. We all know that some of those horrible ESL say virtually the same thing over and over.
I am just happy that they, once again, prove they are trying to look out for the MTs and MEs and see that we are all treated fairly and equally. I have been very happy with Webmedx up to this point and now even more so.
All the years I worked for MQ, they knew it happened and I don't think made any attempt to address it. At WMX at least they must be monitoring it or they wouldn't know the same person kicked the same job back more than once.

Good - plenty of work, just landed a new acct.
Bad - Check posts from a few weeks back. Out of the blue, everyone got a huge pay cut.

They're okay. They are hiring. They have benefits. Decent living? Bawhahahahahahaha! If you give them everything you've got you won't have anything left.
Spheris is okay. They are only slightly less evil than the others. None of these companies are much good. It's the nature of the beast. If you go with a national you sell your soul to the devil for benefits.
I'm getting ready to depart the transcription field. I held on at Spheris for a little over a year, but I keep getting moved to new accounts (a common complaint) and can't get used to a new account long enough to make any money. I've worked for all the major companies and I'm burned out. So go ahead and try other companies. Sooner or later it's all the same thing. You just can't make a decent living at this and it gets worse all the time. So it's not just Spheris - it's the field of transcription that's a problem.
