I talked with a few other MTs and nada.  In my mind, this is just a really mean thing to do and there's absolutely no reason for it other than to be plain mean.  The lady who was in charge of this stuff before had them out by January 3rd. 

No end-of-year bonus either or even just a nice card....something that was always appreciated.  Team that up with constant lack of work, a noose that gets tighter and tighter as far as big brother watching, and you have a company that has gone waaaay downhill as far as respect for it's employees goes.

You people are unbelievable but then the moon is getting full and you come out in droves.  I like her sense of humor as well as her willingness to help an MT.

I am sure she knows the many personalities of the profession and is not offended which is evidenced by her remarks and good for her because if it were me, I would tell you what you could do with your remarks.  Trying to help you say by pointing out what was obviously a transposition, I think not. No one on this board is trying to help unless it was that recruiter. Apparently too many out there with not enough to do.

depressing situation for the employees.  I don't work there anymore, but I know I would be devastated if I had to take a drastic cut in my pay.  Anyone who tells you that you can do 2-3 times the amount of lines doing VR has to have brown eyes because they are full of it!

LIghten up.  I doubt the CEO of TT or anywhere else for that matter gives a hoot what us peons think, do, or say as long as we keep those fingers flying and bring them in an income.

to complete the required work week when there is no work?  Before everyone jumps on me saying that I am lazy, don't want to work, need to ask for more accounts, etc., give me a break.  I am quite new to the company, and I rely on a full-time work week for my benefits for my family.  I already have 5 accounts and have asked for more.  All are out of work (or so I am told).  I have four small children, so working all hours of the night and the wee hours of the morning is not possible on a daily basis (but I am willing to do what I can to get my hours in). 

I am asking an honest question here:  Is there no leeway at all during the extremely slow holiday months?  It is bad enough that I will pull in less money, but even worse that I could lose my benefits.  YES I know it is slow at all companies during the holiday season. YES I know I could get a job somewhere else. If a current or past WMX-er could please just give me some insight, I would greatly appreciate it. :-) I got up earlier today to get a jump on things, and I ran out of work earlier!  LOL  I ran out of work at 10 a.m. (again).

You're right.  I feel so stupid.  But, is that all there is to it?  It's sad that now we not only have to worry about work going overseas, but we have to be on the lookout for work that goes over and bounces back, with additional cuts in pay in order to share the profits, thanks to the participation and cooperation of American companies acting as go-betweens. 

I have transcribed much, MUCH worse ESL than what was sampled on their test.  When they asked me what percentage of ESL I had transcribed for in an average work day, I told them 20% or less and that's when they said that their work involved 80% ESL.  But man, that 20% that I got at my former job was some of the worst on the planet, I swear! 

Wow!  I can honestly say that is even worse than I have been experiencing and I really did not think that to be possible. 

They are worse than I thought. 

See?  It is that lack of communication that is utterly disgusting, dispicable, and absolutely disrespectly to us MTs who work so frickin hard for them.

MDI OWNER & MANAGEMENT:  ARE YOU PROUD OF YOURSELVES?  Sleep tight tonight.  Sleep tight with the money we have made you without any consideration for us.  You could have at least pointed us in a direction where WE (you like that don't you cause that's how you say WE in your own e-mails to us, like we're a cozy family) could have also been successful.
