they are truly giving a good representation of the kind of work they offer during the trial. You wouldn't believe what we get and I'm not talking about a tiny minority of the work. MOST of it is ESL, bad audio.

but if you were offered chance to work on other accounts, what is the problem? You are going to have slow periods with ANY company, and at least your now-previous employer had enough accounts to offer you something else...in any event, hope you find bliss at new place.

I was very worried to leave my former job (had been with Medquist for 12+ years). Very very glad I made the change! WMX has a great support system, and I really feel like the switching between screens thing is not a big deal, and I like being able to look at old reports for comparisons. I don't leave as many blanks that way. And, after typing the same dictator a few times, you don't have to look things up as much, anyway, because you learn what they are saying.

was sold off in the slave auction from another company recently acquired and cannot say that it is pretty. My supervisor is does not believe in communicating, but the few conversations I have had with her, she probably needs to be kept quiet cuz she is not coming across as being too bright. It sure doesn't seem too organized.

but I should warn you it has a glowing blue light on top ... not a constant soft light, but a gently pulsating, sort of roving blue light that is reminiscent of something from the Star Ship Enterprise. Not quite the blue lights from a cop car, but still annoying if your office lets any light into your dark bedroom.

Yes, dialup works great. I can type as the voice file is downloading. When you look under settings in the Bayscribe player there is a modem and broandband. I have mine all the way to modem. I have had no problems although I really miss DSL, but love the fact I can work without haveing to wait for long voice files to load. I don't have DSL available where I live.

large national whom we all know and love, I am routinely beyond appalled at the junk they produce overseas. It is beyond dreadful. It is dangerous and lethal to our patients. I refused to edit it, personally, and resigned over it. Glad to know others are fighting for us. Its a disgrace beyond measure - rather along the lines of priceless, me thinks! Best of luck! when you are out of work, you are out of luck. If you are good at brown-nosing, are tough enough to be without any self-esteem, and have maybe money coming into the household on the side in case you tick someone off, then you may succeed, for a little while.
Don't ever ask questions or have problems with anything. Don't ever have a problem. Don't think you will have any control over anything you do, either.
A few 'good' managers remained when I left, but the new ones were all from the old Edix, and were completely into numbers, cared nothing for individual MTs...if there is work, you BETTER be working. If there no work, you will hear nothing, no one will help you.

I hope you do well. I would rather have a root canal than drive a bus around with the rowdy kids around here, my gosh, they get in fights all the time, the bus driver has to return the bus to school. You are probably from a better area, but they would have to pay me big, big money. Good luck to you though.

I only said it works good sometimes
Sometimes it doesn't. Overall it's okay, but I'm still only averaging maybe 450 an hour and average 250-300 an hour typing, so I need a lot higher average on VR to make up the pay difference.
I guess my point originally was that even if the VR is fairly accurate it still takes a good dose of luck to get those 3000 lines a day she needs with dictators who speak fast and clear and a large volume of work. Keyboard shortcuts are great but they're not the only thing to making good money at VR, and some of the other things are out of your hands.

tells me that she loves the job. She says there is usually lots of work, except for the occasional holiday slowdowns that seems to be across the board for MTs. She said that she never has a problem with getting her pay and she said that likes the fact there there are not a large number of emails coming at you and interrupting the workflow.

My friend works there is happy with her job. She does say though that people either love it or hate it - no in between. I do know though that they are trying to go to mostly a voice recognition platform for their accounts and they are trying to phase out MTing as we know it.
Have had good luck with them since Feb.
I was told about a horror story that went on between them and one MT when I was brought on. Nothing even close has happend to me or another MT that I talk to from Medscript. Perhaps it was a two way horror story for the owner and the MT? I will post an email address if anyone has specific questions I can try to help.

I worked for MQ for years, and if you want ANYTHING you have to continuously harass "the higher ups." Remember, it is your money, and it is owed to you, don't let up on them or you will get NOTHING! Management sucks at MQ.

Bascially DSG wasn't willing to pay me what they thought I was worth, which sounds stupid, but it's true. Everything else except for the pay was perfect. I loved working there, and I recommend them. They have had some growing pains in the past, but things have leveled out quite a bit. I wish you the best.

I was offered the same deal but there was no work when I started. Nada, nothing. I had 9 jobs for an entire week and was told I couldn't get a backup because I wasn't off of 100% QA, and couldn't come off 100% QA because there was no work!!! When I left, they did NOT pay the training bonus as promised and I reported them to the Attorney General.
Don't know anything about them but good luck!!
