Glad it worked for you. I have worked for companies
that were more reliable and paid without the delay I had. Maybe you started before they started doing that but it makes no difference. I TOO am a single parent.
You are not trying to argue? Sounds like you not only are trying to argue but you are just waiting for anyone to post anything about the co on here so you can just get out there and respond, which seems to be the way I have always noticed it. It's like all the MTs or whoever that work there are just waiting to respond.
This board is about the good points and bad points about companies. I am telling my experience.
The people were nice people though, but my experience was not a good one and I will not say it was.
I can go a week after the end of payday and even 10days later but that's it. Kids would starve.
I'm glad it worked out for you...sm
I hope mine goes as well as your did. Thanks again for your input.
Glad it worked out
The way things are now, it seems everyone wants lots of experience.
The old days of on-the-job training weren't such a bad thing. No degree can take the place of starting from the bottom and working up!
I am glad it worked out for you. sm
The only problem I have is I just wish I could get on accounts that were not so time consuming with doing other things like filling things in, verifying, researching for each document other than just typing it up. The editing part looks horrible also, too many changing and retyping of headings and sentences. Needless to say since I spend so much time on quality my quantity suffers greatly. I do agree the work is there, just need to learn all the changing account specifics and try to keep some kind of line count up.
I am glad you know who they are; I don't. I have worked for several companies
as QA and in all but one case, the QA manager was an MT with much experience. The job I have now, the QA have a lot of latitude with the MTs and mentor, but none of them have the attitude of feeling better than the MTs or project it. It sounds as if you are trying to talk yourself out of it. I love my job and I love working with the MTs. It is all in what you want out of the job how the job will be. You must like doing QA though because you will not make the hourly rate that you would make doing MT work if you were a fast MT (like I was). I enjoy doing my job. I cannot find anything that I can say against QA other than the fact that there are cheap companies out there that try to get away with paying QA by the line and I would avoid them like the plague because that's what they are. They truly cannot care about quality if they pay on quantity for their final product.
I'm glad it worked out, but if she is paying you
she has to have some information on you, phone number, address, etc.
I'm glad they worked things out for you (sm)
I've been with them nearly 2 years now and they have been more than fair and flexible with me. Good Luck to you!
I worked there for 2 years and am glad I left
However, I have several friends that still work there, love it and probably will never leave. I personally choose not to work for a company that outsources overseas. Just my opinion though.
Worked there for a very short time. Glad to be gone.

I'm glad they pay you on time. When I worked there, they frequently "fudged" sm
on the date they would mail the checks out. In my contract, it stated that they would be mailed from Oldsmar or Tampa (I cannot remember), and they would adjust the postage meter to read the date it was supposed to be sent out, but then the postmark from the post office would be several days later.
My experience was much like the other posters. They hired me at 10 cents per gross line and gave me a crappy account. I was switched to a clinic account, and I was making lines hand over fist, but then they switched me back to the crappy account. And when work would dry up, I'd call and Crystal would just laugh and tell me to take the day off.
I'm glad if they had improved.
Good for you, always glad to know
others liking their jobs. Best to be happy, life too short not to be. As far as the ignorance equaling bliss, I have no ulcers, do not have to work endless hours making a living, no worries in this life. Others should try always to find out where they belong. I can only speak for myself. If others want to be unhappy and stil continue at same job, cannot help those out. I do have fun in my life now because lots less stress than in years gone by.
Good for you! I am glad to hear that you
are a good recruiter, having no idea who you are, was only relaying MY experiences. Sorry for those, such as you, who do your job well. I have lost thousands of dollars depending on what was told to me by recruiters, and that is a fact. If I would not have listened to the out and out lies, simple questions like, Will such and such an abbreviation Expander work with your system? and was told yes, when they had no clue if it would or not after I was hired and quit my other job. As I said, good for you for being on the up and up and doing your job well. And I agree, if I could quit MT today, I would run away as fast as I could!!! Not only is your job thankless, but apparently OURS are TOO!!! Or at least I am given that impression but more than just ONE company!!!!!!
Glad to hear something good about them,
xx
That's really good news! I am glad for you!
Yes, Transcend seemed like it had so much potential, and I did believe that when I was there coincided with Transcend hitting a big bump in the road, probably fast growth, and I know they said there were major mgmt problems at the time. I tried to stick it out, but didn't have the patience at the time. Glad to hear that things sound organized now. We all deserve an organized, calm, productive workplace, right?
glad you think it is a good company
I dont know how many people would agree with you.
Good grief!! Glad I just sent them
an email telling them I was no longer interested in testing as I will not work for companies that offshore USA work. No wonder the person didn't sign their name. Probably too long to spell! LOL!
Good for you, I'm glad you found someplace sm
you feel treats you well. If you left the bad place behind, why are you still thinking about it? Enjoy where you are now.
That is good news! Glad you got to spread
xx
glad to hear there is still a good company out there...
xx
Glad you are happy. You making good money there? sm
as well?
Of course we do. This will make time #5 that I do just that. Glad you have good luck.
Not everybody does. Ummm...you do know you don't always get what you ask for/want, right? And if you try sometimes, you still don't get what you need.
GOOD. This is important. Glad you thought ahead.
.I think we as women are condition to wait and see how it goes. Has it really ever gotten better -- whatever THAT was. We need to learn to believe our gut. When My Office Genie sold to MQ, I guess she (carol) was so fearful, she made the anouncement and wham, immediately gone. Had it all planned out in advance packed and gone..
Cbay doesn't sound good. Glad I left
the Q when I did. I really hashed over that decision, but I am so glad I did. There will be a lot of people looking for work very soon. I wouldn't wait around until all the good spots are filled.
I worked for MDI-FL. Good co., but
I have also heard that MDI-MD is a good company. They are not connected in any way.
Anyone worked at Keystrokes, Good, Bad???
Just wanted some information about Keystrokes to see if anyone works there and likes it. Thanks.
I've never worked for such a good company
I was contacted immediately after I tested. I wanted part-time work at night to try them out, so I worked 20 hours a week for them. After a month, I quit my other full-time job and went with them full-time. I've never seen such a fast platform. The benefits are incredible compared to other companies and the work is excellent. Good communication and accessability with co-workers and supervisors. Extra bonuses for what we had to do normally at other jobs. Direct deposit. company contributions to 401K. Earn vacation money from your first day on the job, and you don't lose it when/if you leave. I'm extremely happy with them.
Either would be a good choice. I've worked for both.
In the archives, both companies have good and bad comments. You have to weigh one against the other and whether you think someone is just disgruntled or not. Both are better than MQ or Sph.
I am wondering if OSI is a good company. Has anyone ever worked for them?
Any info would be appreciated
Very good place to work. When I worked there
I was paid $0.10 Canadian per line with spaces. That was before the US dollar went below the Canadian dollar. I think they hire mostly US MT's as there aren't enough in Canada. I think you can also get employee status there. Great bunch of people. I would highly recommend them.
I am so glad, so very glad that finally I have reached
the age that if we are low on work, I just take off. No problem at all and love the extra day or so off. I now have worked since the 70s and finally made to retirement age, get SS plus other retirement money coming in and thank the good Lord do not have to worry about if there is work or not. BTW, when I worked inhouse never ran out of work ever, only when transferring out to company do they run out of work. If I had to raise a family now I would most certainly cross train on other accts at my place but only have 1 that I work on, by choice.
I had a good friend who worked for them and had an awful experience.
She said that the work load was sporadic at best. They would either be drowning in work or starving. She said that her pay was late two or three times and when she questioned management on it they were extremely rude. She said that the owner/manager of the company was a nightmare who was prone to screaming fits and berating those who disagreed with her.
You can take this for what it's worth. I hope it helps with your decision.
I have worked there for a few years now. Not a lousy company but a very good one. sm
Perhaps you did not meet their standards or perhaps they did not meet yours, but there is no reason for you to be on here bashing those of us that love working for KS. If you have specifics, please share. I will:
Good pay, on time every time.
Good account with plenty of work.
Good benefits.
Managers that are human and know that the employees are too.
Owners who care about the company and employees. They are involved but less and less with employees as they grow. Instead, they have hired managers that are great so that they can concentrate on sales and customers.
Growing company with no lost accounts, which is more than most can say.
Opportunity for advancement.
IT helpful and caring, especially since the major change in that area a few months ago.
I love my job and I'm not in Illinois either; I'm in Florida.
Does anyone that is currently or had worked for DSG find it rather difficult to get a good line
count for some reason.
Worked out to a pretty good hourly rate, just not the right company for me. nm
,,
TSSC is really good. I've worked for other nationals and haven't been let down by them. nm
I worked for them a year or so ago. Good company. Owners a little quirky at times, but set sm..
set accounts so can build speed with repetition. Pay on time and treat you very decent.
I worked for them previously. Very good, growing co., wonderful MTSO, average pay but lots of work.
xxxxx
Thanks! I'm glad to hear that, I didn't think anyone used it anymore! I'm glad to hear so
I'll definitely check them out!
The best co. ever! Good work, good people, good pay, good bennies.

I worked for a temp agency for 3 years..LOVED it. Just worked. No counts, no hassels, GREAT pay..
No benefits at the time. I even learned pathology while temping (8 months on that assigment). I loved the variety, the ability to say I'm not available such and such time. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I didn't need benefits.
A company is ONLY supposed to verify that someone worked there, what dates they worked, whether PT o
and last date worked. It opens everyone up to a lawsuit if more is given, so most companies are told by their attorneys and business advisors to verify only.
No one has a right to a reference, only verification of employment.
It worked! Latest suggestion from DJ's email worked. nm

If I worked a longer day, I just put my regular shift, 3p-11p, or whatever. If I worked sm
an extra day, then I was told to fudge the hours around on the other days so it all came out to 40. I didn't really mind -- have learned not to expect overtime in this profession -- and I was happy to be able to work whenever I needed to get the lines I needed. However, them telling me directly to fudge on my time sheet would seem to be a violation of the wage and hour laws. I suppose it doesn't matter now if they do not even have enough work to make the minimum line count necessary. Several of the companies I thought were golden seem to have gotten a bit tarnished lately … sad.
we will be glad to use our
after we find another job
I'm glad I could help.
I am an MT, before I get accused of being in a managerial position.
YW...glad I could help :)
I'm glad I'm not the only one
When I was hired two years ago, I gave a set schedule as an SE (with every intention of following it), but right from the beginning I had to adjust it because of no work being available. Since then, I pretty much do what I want to. Thank goodness I work for a good office and they don't bother me much, but all the talk about the changes coming are worrying me. If they make me work a set schedule, I may just fly the coop, because I know there will never be work available during my shift.
I am glad you think so
You must be in management and not an MT or ME.
I have never had so many problems with MQ since being transferred to Amherst. Yes, there it is again, AMHERST. I am exhausted after my 40 hour week and feel like I have been typing for 2. I just do not get anywhere. All crappy dictators, and jumping from account to account and running out of work.
You must not do acute care or as it used to be called, medical records, and you must have easy, easy reports. I am making squat for all my aggravation.
Even if the grass wasn't greener on the other side, I would never come back.
I am just holding on until I can find another job and I am looking.
I can't take this garbage anymore.
It is not worth my health, happiness or my family. They all come before this company. It used to be a good company before FRANK came on board.
Can't wait until I can get out of here.
Oh, do you have to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas, if you celebrate that holiday? Just another one more thing to annoy me.
well glad you think so
nm
I want to say I am so glad that (sm)
I am not the only one who cannot stand the company. Every time I post elsewhere (will not say where) I got flamed for saying this is not the absolute best company to work for. Believe me, it is about the worst. Any time a company claims it is the best, that is a red flag IMO.
I am so glad....
I am so glad to hear that! I just got my work computer and am scheduled to start on the 30th :) I have been so nervous because I have had 3 different job offers and chose Spheris.
