IS THE CHECK REALLY IN THE MAIL?
I worked for a company for about a month. Upon our initial discussions it was mentioned they paid once a month. I said I could not do that because of getting burned in the past. They said they could do twice a month so I accepted the position. First check for the 15th was not received until I believe the 27th as they had surgery and could not tell me when their husband mailed it. Hmmmm. The second check should have been mailed on the 1st. I was told on the 5th that it went through online banking on the 4th. Now I'm being told that it takes 7-10 days for online banking. I never signed any type of contract and mentioned that I would call the doctor myself and ask if he paid them for the services performed. Now I'm getting, I'll press charges if you do that. I'll check with my bank tomorrow and if you don't receive it by the end of the week, I'll pay you through Paypal. The only thing with that is, you lose money. Can you believe that!! I'm sorry, I just had to vent. Oh yeah, I took Friday off and I was away. I wasn't ignoring you.

I am happy to say that I was paid today after mentioning I may have my fiance's law firm contact the physician and being told online banking would take 7-10 days. I was paid immediately via Paypal and although I lost a few dollars with their fees, it's better than waiting 17+ days for a check. My final check..I'm done. Gant Transcriptions in Texas is the name and excuses is the game! One for every occasion. I just hope she pays anyone else she may owe. It's awful what we have to go through to get a paycheck, and then made to feel like we're wrong for asking. I guess I'm the only one who works for the money. Sorry, but the thrill of it went out the window with the paycheck that's in the mail..lol..

contact US Post Office at 1-800-275-8777 and go through the prompts - Delivery Services, Delivery Assistance, Delayed Mail, Customer Service, Document lateness. They will take down all the info (where it is being mailed from, where it is being mailed to, type of service (first class etc), and estimated value) then get back to you with what they find out within 24 business hours. I just called them about Lee Perfect being late (again) on my invoice - have been told one too many time it is because of the Chicago post office! Good luck!

Hi. Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this problem... I'm afraid my check that was mailed on June 4 has been lost in the mail :( I have a new mail carrier, and lately we have been getting a lot of mixups with our mail. I am going to go to direct deposit when I get this check. I am so worried as I am the only one working right now, and we have a family of 5 with 3 little ones and desperately need my check. This happened once before when I moved out of state and worked at MedQuist, and it was a horrible experience. They needed to wait a few weeks before issuing a new check after stopping payment on the one lost in the mail, so my check was about a month late. I am already behind on rent, so I am worried. So far I love my job, and I'm hoping the process will be a little easier with SoftScript...Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

I work for the Q and my checks are mailed to me. They come on time every time. I have never had a late paycheck with them. I have worked for companies who consistently pay late and left because of that, a definite deal breaker for me no matter how good everything else is with the company. One day late and I quit working until check arrives, this from experience with not getting paid at all for two weeks of work at one place. My bills have to be paid on time so payday has to be dependable. I have been messed up by a bank computer glitch with direct deposit twice in the past and that is why I have gone back to having my checks mailed.

I do have another job and I'm using that as my primary job and using OTI as my second job working just about 10 hrs a week. One thing I like about OTI is they don't give a flip how much or how little you work, they don't even care what hours you work so long as you do clock in once in a while.
It seems to be a game at this point, so I might as well play or leave.
Why don't you go ahead and tell them the BAD news? (sm)
They added a tiny bit to the benefit package (still not comparable to other nationals), still no weekend or shift differential. AND they raised the minimum line count from 10,000 lines per pay period to 12,000. It will be imposible to achieve 12,000 lines on those horrible VA accounts. The recruiter will tell you that you won't get paid for headers or footers because they automatically populate WRONG!!! You will spend an unbelievable amount of time in the demographic screen.

that you put the right report in the right shell on the right person. That is the only problem when the report does not match the voice and patient. As long as you are careful, you will not have a problem.

and it was just like you said. I have 11 years experience and had to leave a couple blanks. MT testing is crazy. I don't know why it has to be so difficult. Oh well, moving on to the next company for testing tomorrow.

 I turned in my Keystrokes paperwork today for a RAD account starting Monday. It looks like most of the problems are with acute care accounts with more positives on the RAD accounts. I'm not worried about OT/paid holidays because I have an actual IC job with plenty of work if/when I want it. I'm just hoping that being this RAD account is new, there will be enough work to keep me qualified for medical. I see others who just posted recently are new hires also--good luck to all of us!

I don't think I am years behind -- if congress/president has any sense, they will begin to bring our jobs back to the U.S. The idea of exporting our jobs in exchange for supporting our trade partners BOMBED. Just like the idiots at Wall Street. It was a great plan - but it has ruined our economy. I would not be surprised at all if the tide turns -- and I hope that my fellow MTs will do as I ask and write their congresspeople and ask that U.S. work be returned to the U.S. What did Obama say? because he's probably more in a position than I am to acquire more MTs in the near future. Mine all depends on an account that I'm not entirely sure of yet. But if you would like to email me anyway I will keep your information in case I do. The account I may have is an ortho clinic acct and what I would like to do if I get the account is have maybe 3 MTs share 2 or 3 doctors; that way they can all be familiar with all the doctors but also if anyone didn't want to work any given day the other 2 could take up the slack and cover for the MT who is off. And I don't even know at all that I will get the account or if I do when it will be - but I will keep your info just in case!
