Thanks for taking the time to respond! nm

Don't have time to respond right now, but feel
free to e-mail and I'll answer some time tonight. I've been told by someone else that the only positions they are hiring for currently are 10-hour shifts Friday-Monday, 2nd and 3rd shift.
I have known this for a long time; that is why I NEVER respond to an email from ANYONE on this board
because it will identify your email address when you return their email. When they ask me to talk via email, I just don't respond to them. NO RETURN EMAIL FROM ME.
Thanks guys for taking the time to respond to my post. I'll go with the State job if offered.
I may do some PT/IC a couple days of the week just to keep my skills up and just in case they offer the lower rate of pay.
Gonna miss you Guys. Thanks for all your help.
They used to give out $25 Amex cheques -- give them time. :-) nm
Give it time, sweetie, give it time.

Give yourself a little time ---
to get used to it; it really is pretty user-friendly. If you're having problems, give the trainer a call; she's always been very willing to help me out, and give me little 'tweaks' to use.
I would give them a little time....
Lots of things going on at the current time with the new hires and new accounts, plus the weekend is coming up. I would think the beginning of next week would be reasonable to hear back. Good luck!
Give yourself a little time; however, just
consider the transcription part of it......do you enjoy the worktypes given, can you make a decent line count....do you like the platform? If you answer yes, then give yourself some time. All new jobs are overwhelming at first.
Personally, I can usually tell if the job is for me within, at most, 1 week.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Give it time
When did you start? Give it a couple of weeks, it does get better. Will it ever be as lucrative as straight typing, no, but it's not that bad either. I actually like editing better now. I just try to work a little faster to make up for the slight difference in my paycheck.

Patience is a virtue.
She cannot give up her full-time job
currently because she is testing the waters. There are a lot of posters on these boards stating they feel like job hoppers. I do not think she is giving anyone a bad name. You personally make your own bed. You must be QA. QA can get on a power trip and just never let up. I have not tested or worked for a company yet that does not ping you on something or other. It is just insane out there. No wonder people want to get out of this field. Posters slamming other posters is negative and certainly not positive. We should be empowering each other, not assuming variables on other MT's situations when we really do not know. No offense, but that is just plain nastiness in my opinion.
Give yourself time. You are familiar with
your old account. You have to give yourself the time to adjust to new formatting, dictators, etc. with any new job.
Just give them time. Remember, there
are 100s of people seeing these ads and sending in resumes.
Give them plenty of time. I think most
places are overrun with resumes at the moment.
It's not that the pay is never on time, it's just that they don't give you an exact date; o

By flex your time, do you mean the window they give you (sm)
or something else? I can't even get the hours in during the window for running out of work. Do you just mean make up time during the week? thanks.
Give it a rest, willya? You say that every time sm
you post about Webmedx. Maybe they were short on work when you were here, but we sure aren't now... (radiology accounts excluded - I can't speak to that).

i think the opposite, give the boot to those who are wasting everyone's time and just don't ge
the quality dropping also drops our pay for good MTs who care about quality.
Give TT some time to see if they can find cheaper plans
I also am greatly upset by the insurance hike, but I have decided to give them some time to see if they can come up with something more affordable. Like many of you, I have to insure my whole family, so this increase is astronomical.
The grass is not always greener. Changing jobs means switching out problems, and yes, some problems are easier to deal with than others. My last job (Amphion), I was so stressed out, I lost a lot of quality of life. I have young children. I can't afford to be a stressed out freak just like I can't afford the expensive health insurance. When I moved to TT, I regained my quality of life. I'm not so tired anymore, and I'm able to be a better mom. That means the world to me. I'll hang in patiently to see if another option can be found for the health insurance.
Give it time, they'll get to you. The grand plan is
my shoulder, it's a block(head). The games they play, the excuses/reasons are old, worn out, and it's aggravating to sit there staring at that NJA cyclops when others are getting the work. Dog-eat-dog is not conducive to a good work environment. We didn't create the situation but we bear the brunt.
Give it some time. I think some people aren't working today and the ice

Yes, pay on time. We give a 2-week schedule. Accounts pretty good
Why would they give you a choice of 16 or 24 hours. Usually part time is anything under 37 hours.
That is extremely odd. Well they must have something up their sleeves. Well I will be working elsewhere part time as well as with MQ as I have no intention of sitting 40 hours with no work from Amherst and be expected to have 150 lph with no work. What is all this window of work time they said they would be giving everyone. I figured all along they would do away with SE. I have already been looking around and ordered a new computer to send theirs back.
could you respond here for
x
I wish you would respond....I do.
But if it is only me, well that definitely won't do any good. We all have to stick together and let them know that it is an insult to be treated like non-*professionals*. If more people let them know they'd at least be forced to think about it instead of deleting a lonely email from one angry MT. I am beginning to think they continue to take away from us because most MTs can't be bothered and and/or will take it. ;)
Not only do they not respond....
but then every couple of months they are advertising again. Do you think it is a vanity thing, or they are trying to create a reputation for being busier than they are? I don't understand why a business would waste time unnecessarily in this process, unless of course they are disorganized and discourteous, in which case they have a lot of turnover, which no business wants.
May I respond to that?
Yes, you do get binders, and yes mine contain way more samples than I probably need; however, the necessary info boils down to just a few pages for doctor lists and account specifics. And the crap the previous poster so delicately refers to is patient demographic information. Speaking for my account, my morning routine consists of turning on my computer, setting my demographic update to run, get coffee ready, feed the dog and cat, and by the time that's done my update is usually done or has just another couple minutes. No big deal really. That's on the DOS account by the way.
Can you respond here?
I guess they deleted my post on the main board because it eluded to a job wanted request. So, I had to repost it here instead. If you wouldn't mind responding here, I would greatly appreciate it!
I'm not the OP but I have to respond
*WE ARE IN A DEPRESSION RIGHT NOW...MY ADVICE IS TO TAKE ANYTHING YOU CAN GET RIGHT NOW. IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE LOCKED INTO IT FOR LIFE, BUT WE CAN'T BE TOO PICKY LIKE WE WERE BEFORE.*
I'm not the OP, but THANK YOU for pointing this out. I see so many negative posts on here (humorously referred to as *haterade* in another thread) that I sat and nodded my head in agreement with your post.
While some places fall far short of paradise, if the pay is even halfway decent and on time, this is not the time to turn one's nose up at a less-than-ideal offer.
To had to respond:
I do NOT find your reply rude or condescending. I only wish I could shrug and deal with it as you apparently have. Sure, I will give VR a try with it comes to my accounts. I am just dreading it because VR offers none of the things that I enjoy about transcription. I do not think the humor potential is going to outweigh what I will be losing.
It's not change, per se, that I resist because I certainly have had a lot of that over the years. I've had to learn 7 or 8 transcription platforms (one loses count) with the loss in production that always means. Three of these software changes were within the same company as some *suit* who did not transcribe decided to try out something new. I have adjusted my schedule every which way to be accommodating. I put in extra hours often, to help with TAT. I'm not a total what's-in-it-for-me whiner. But this is the change that just might do me in, because someone wants to cut my pay, capitalize on my knowledge and experience for less money, and call it progress. Seriously, other than the chance to keep working, what IS in it for me?
One reason I have resisted offers to go into QA is that I enjoy the actual transcription so much. Never have tried QA, I just do not feel I would enjoy finding and correcting the errors of others. Not my thing. I think VR would be so much worse.
I agree that MDI is a great company and I am glad to have found them after a few (okay, many) real loser companies. They have resisted offshore outsourcing and VR for a long time. I am just sorry they have had to cave to the prevailing trend on VR. Their client base expects high-quality work and I am hoping we can still give it to them with this transition. But if a lot of us *seasoned* MTs choose to bail out, that may not happen.
Did you respond to an ad?
Did they post a job opening somewhere recent that you were applying to?

ginny please respond
ginny, could you please give me your email so i can visit with you more?
What I don't understand is why anyone would respond to
a post that did not include the name of the company. I certainly would not. If they cannot be up front with who they are, they have something to hide.
i got the same email and did not respond (nm)
.
It seems usually I am the only one to respond good or bad -
Of all the people who have contacted me privately by email about the job and my thoughts on it, no one has ever come back and told me that I was wrong in what I told them - and I have never seen anyone respond negatively to the questions that are asked openly on this board until Tristen did it on this post.
My experience with eTransPlus may be unique, but it is hard for me to believe that I am the only person that is working happily at that company or they would not have any transcriptionists and therefore would not have a business. I know my 2000 lines a day are not carrying the company...
My experience has been very positive. I get help when I need it, I get extra work when/if I need it, not one time have I ever been told one thing and another happened, the line counts have not changed (I was given a pay scale when I started work and it is the same today as it was then). Yes, you make less if you work part time because you produce less lines - the tiered pay scale is in place as an incentive to do more work. You work harder, you are rewarded - ain't that the way most things work?
I for one will continue to be a cheerleader when someone asks a question about eTransPlus, as I have nothing but good things to say about everyone there!
You need to respond with you will comply with
stating you are now an employee. You may then be looking for another job, but from what you state, you will become an employee under those demands.
Questions about OSI, PLEASE respond, thanks
I am considering a position with OSI. How are they to work for? Is there plenty of work? Communication from company? Is QA constructive or ridiculous? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
When will you respond to our e-mails?
nm
You never respond to e-mails.
I don’t think you meant this to respond to me
I 100% agree with you and think the OP unrealistic in thinking anyone should owe her a job just because she wants.
Had to respond to the HR situation...SM
I very recently had to contact HR@trcr.com to get a question answered about benefits and eligibility and such (I was also a TRS transplant), and got a response that afternoon.
I really get agitated when someone has a bad experience and has to dump it on everyone else, because just because your experience sucked, that does not mean that everyones will.
I for one have had nothing but a positive experience since we were acquired by transcend.
Of course, I am willing to do whatever I have to to get my line count in, and have a tendency to be a little obsessive about working, but I rarely work beyond my 8 hours and still manage my line count.
I am incredibly flexible, and willing to do what I have to. I work 2 different platforms and quite a few accounts, but this was by my choice, not due to their being a necessity for it. My goal has always been to be as flexible as possible because that makes me more valuable to the people I work for and with.
To those of you reading these posts to formulate a decision, remember that everyone's experience will be different, and that stuff posted here is people's personal opinion, and take everything with a grain of salt.
Who are you talking to. I did not say you weren't! Respond where you are

Please respond about transcription south
I am really looking for some information on this company. I am suppose to start here but it has taken a month process for all of the paperwork. Just wanted to make sure they are a good place to work for. Any response would be greatly appreciated.
They talk about all of this upfront. Just because they respond
to an email or resume does not mean that they want someone to work an ortho account. The first thing discussed is pay and how the account works. Otherwise, it would be a waste of everyone's time to go through all the testing and interviewing and set up, etc if it is not what the applicant is looking for!
Medware - slow to respond??
Has anyone applied to them lately? I sent an email of interest, got no answer. Sent an email to another person, a new recruiter, and received a response with just all the paperwork to fill out and the testing package. Returned the tests immediately, no response. Followed up to make sure they got them, no response. She had said they were growing (actually it sounded like she was reading from a script, very flat) so why not answer back??
Sure would be nice if they would respond to my application
wonder how long it takes
