I think it depends on experience, account hired for, etc. I was hired at .08 per line sm
but after 90 days went to 0.085 and then 0.09 about 90 days after that. I am now at 0.0925 and have been there a year. I have to point out that the line rate might not be the highest but I can verify my counts, have plenty of work, get paid on time and have a great manager. To me, leaving a bad national and the headaches that went with it was well worth the cut in pay I took. Funny thing is that I took a pretty sizable pay cut but make more money ?!?!

The email address that the person leaves in the post has the domain name of naturalhealthway.com. I typed www.naturalhealthway.com in my browser, and the website has nothing to do with transcription, either.

I work for a company that promotes VR all the time now forcing us to move to it and I know I will have to move to VR for less pay or leave the company which I have always liked until now. I don't understand. We are running out of work because VR is getting most of it but when I looked up old reports I see that my supervisor is typing them. Makes me real suspicious. We don't have enough work anyway unless you work VR then my supervisor is typing reports. I wonder if the company is in trouble or if everybody has just quit? I can't say the name of the company here

I even checked with supe to see if there were server problems. Just told, Sorry it's unusually slow today. I'm usually told to check back later but they didn't even suggest that! It's almost as if all the jobs on my account were *manually* removed and outsourced to other MTs.

All my MTs are ICs and they are all responsible for purchasing their own software, equipment, etc. It sounds like this company is making a decent buck on software programs...do the math (# of MTs x $25/month = ??). I wouldn't work there if I were you. It also sounds like you MTs are paying for their accounting paperwork every month. That should be a business expense for the company, not the MT. JMHO.

I live in Atlanta and I just called the management company who manages 945 East Paces Ferry. They do not have a tenant who is leasing under the name of JAX Transcription. There are several businesses at this address with various suite numbers. They confirmed that Transcend is a tenant, but there is no record of a Jax Transcription.
The person who is posting ads needs to be more forthright. What's the deal here?

Someone mentioned that your company would never know if you erased and retyped (but they would b/c they could monitor keystrokes) and you said they were their rules so you're sticking by them. I agree with that. But now you're saying that they're the hospital rules. There is no way the hospital can monitor your Keystrokes or even has the time to monitor the keystrokes of every single report that goes through their system. That is internal data of the company. There is no way the hospital would know if you erased and retyped.

While I was reading your post, even before you mentioned, it, I thought this sounded like an inside job. I agree that you should contact a lawyer or at least fight for unemployment. Also, file a lawsuit against the company since you have proof that you did not submit the resignation. Maybe a lawyer would have success in getting a court order to obtain more details from Yahoo regarding the identity of the sender of that fraudulent email.

What would the patients' meeting their deductibles have to do with anything?
The hospital telling MTSO & MTs not to log on would make me nervous. Could be they're just about to lose that account.
At the very least, I'd be putting feelers out there for other possible job opportunities. $42/pay period is unacceptable, as is being told to 'be patient'. Will your creditors 'be patient' when you can't pay them? I don't think so.
Somewhere along the line, people who employ MTs seem to have forgotten that this isn't just a HOBBY with us - we're trying to make an actual living at this.

2 companies which did not count correctly and after having done a minute to line comparison finding that the present job is not counting correctly either. Perhaps the wording is awkward. Should have asked who counts lines with a correct line to minute ratio. And you know what that means if you have been in the business long enough.

Seems like you could have contacted the IRS and told them the situation and provided bank statements that showed you didn’t get paid the 50,000. I would have done that. The banks send the IRS paperwork every year on what your interest is anyways, so they have a record of what your account has looked like. You paid the money for 50,000 you didn't get to the IRS instead? That seems odd to me. Who would do that? I would call the IRS and tell them what happened. When I file taxes through Turbo Tax it actually asks if you need any of your forms ammended. I would have called and asked for them to help me get it ammended.

I have 3 different platforms installed on my Vista laptop at the moment, and none of them are having trouble with the others living there too. Something doesn't sound right.
Can you afford to buy a separate computer? Perhaps one of those netbooks for $300 or so, and then hook it up to your (old) big monitor and keyboard? That would eliminate OSi from even needing to know that you are working for anyone or what other platforms you're using.
It sounds like a sneaky way to enforce an ILLEGAL non-compete agenda to me.

the packet states no one will get a pay cut but they gave out pay cuts before people trained on DEP as DEP has only a certain pay level, so they were told. I guess this means no pay cuts with this packet. Pretty smarmy, huh??

I sent a resume to them and one of the questions was how much ESL do I do. I told them over 50% and that was why I was leaving my current job. They emailed me back and said based on my ESL answer, I was not a suitable candidate for their company.

This has never happened to me, not once. I have taken many tests and aced them and my email inbox was filled with email offers. I have 20 years experience and told them up front what I made/wanted. I think some MTs just can't face the fact that they failed the test.

So, nonqualified people can give a false, yet professional-appearing resume and then you can test them and waste your time? Are you crazy? At least you can quickly eliminate those - what does it take 1.5 seconds to look and throw out? Is this your biggest job complaint? Why don't you quit complaining about your job - do you really expect to get all perfect resumes!! Hello - anyone home in there?? I thought evaluating a resume was part of a recruiters job - respond to good ones and don't to the bad ones...you act like you want these folks working at Super Wal-Mart to present a nice resume -Now, why would you desire that?

P.S. I've had to deal w/a lot of recruiters who need some serious help, but I don't feel compelled to give out any suggestions - they would not listen anyway. Its simple when the company/recruiter is ever rude, unprofessional, unorganized, giving false info - I move on. You get a joke of a resume - move on!!
