From one who's been there, done that...

I survived the TRS-Transcend merger, and here's my experience, for what it's worth.

For us, the pay scale remained the same, to start with. So did the shifts and the accounts. No changes at all. (And when I say 'to start with' I don't mean to imply that anybody got cut. I don't know that; but in my own case, I actually got a raise.)

I am told that the $900 (and that's GROSS, not net) per pay period (half a month) is to be an AVERAGE; in another post, a Transcend higher-up told someone who was concerned that they make exceptions for various reasons, and it's worked out on a case-by-case basis. If you are in danger of not meeting the quota because you are consistently low on work, you can be moved to an account where there is more work; you are not stuck. But if you consistently average at or above $900 per pay period, if you have an occasional period where it drops, you do not lose your benefits.

I have also been told (from someone who knows) that they do not ever just yank your account right out from under you. I expect they might take such a drastic measure if you are not meeting your end of the bargain and they can't rely on you; but otherwise, no.

So everybody just take a deep breath, ask your questions (they will be answered eventually) and keep your options open, if that's what you feel you must do. But I would strongly encourage everyone to just ride it out and give it a chance. You might be pleasantly surprised. No, I can't guarantee that, of course not. But if you make a move too quickly, you'll never get the chance to find out.

Just my $.02 worth. As I always say, this is just my own experience. Others' mileage may vary.
