I wouldn't have remembered but for the fact that I never knew gourd painting was that popular. Have fun Gourd Painter!

Thank you very much For the Love of Pete
I suspect you make pretty good money yourself!!!
Don't know if I'll make money painting gourds, it's just fun. It seems to be the newest craft craze on the West Coast. I stumbled into that by accident. When I found out gourds sell for $7.50 to $100 when they are harvested, you can bet I'll be planting a gourd patch next year!!! I'm a farmer's daughter and have plenty of room. I know gourds are easy to grow.
Love it there, best company I have ever worked for, NM
z
I have worked there for about 2-1/2 years and love it. sm
I had a problem a few months ago waiting for an ID for a new account when I asked for a change. I am glad that they kept me on my original account during the wait because it took over 3 weeks. I was told that the hospitals can take a while but the wait was worth it as I am on the best radiology account I have ever been on. I have never run out of work and get paid both well and on time, so I am happy.
It is worth the wait.
Worked at MW for over 1.5 years and love it!
Email me for more info. :)
Oh for Pete's sake. If you are a TH MT, you know
they do not offshore. Some of their accts are on the border which is why the email is that way. TH does not offshore in any way. One of the few left that does not.
Oh, for Pete's sake

Oh for Pete's sake
It wasn't a dig. Simply a statement because I didn't take her email the way others implied it should have been taken. There were multiple posts by people earlier about MDI going the way of MQ and making all kinds of other statements to damage the company. I was at MQ when that ship started to sink and have seen nothing remotely close to that here. And as far as having compassion for someone with no work, apparently you didn't read all of my post or you would have read that I do understand what they are going through. I went through the same thing, not for a few weeks like the OP, but for 3 months at MQ and it probably would have been longer had I not decided to finally bail out of that mess. So before you decide to judge me or pretend to know what I think or feel, try reading all of my posts. Actually, don't. I'm sure you will just find some other reason to rag on me because I'm not having a horrible time with my company at the moment. To sum up all of my posts: To the OP down below, I'm sorry for your situation, but no, I'm not experiencing the same thing. To the other posters talking about management as if they are in it, unless you actually are in management and can say something factual, shut up. Regarding the message from Carlotta, all I got from that was take your issues up with management instead of hashing them out on a public forum. And to the snot I'm replying to......WHATEVAH!
oh for Pete's sake!!
they did use Transcriptionist in the body of the ad. Why all the assumptions here anyway. Do they pay on time? Are there any real problems here?
Oh, Fer Pete's Sake!
She quit her job because she was upset about the use of the word NEED??? For all we know, the person who phrased it in a less than acceptable way was not accustomed to handling bereavement requests - I'd have cut him/her a little slack. I'd have taken that opportunity to *educate* the HR person how to handle future requests with a little more tact, not bit his/her head off and complained all the way to the top of the food chain.
And how is the HR person supposed to know what kind of relationship the OP had with her father? or how emotionally upset the OP was or wasn't?
Bottom line, the OP is out of a job and the rest of the company is going on just fine without her. I think that's called shooting oneself in the foot... all for one little word: NEED. sheesh.
I love Transcend. I've worked for MANY

Sweet Pete Bayou MT. Part of your responsibility as an MT
is to look up unfamiliar terminology, doctor's names, etc. and MAKE A NOTE OF IT, so you don't have to look it up again. All I can say is good luck with your career as an MT.
I love it there...best place I have worked...plenty of work, pay on time, excellent communication...
wonderful supervisors...who could ask for more?
Love, love, love TransTech! Not overhiring, just growing like crazy!

I too love path & can't find it at home & would love to cross-train into rad in the meantime I do

Does anyone think 41 is too old to go to nursing school. I love MT but I just would love to be a
nurse. I have such a interist in helping others and the medical world.
Love, love, love DeVenture
Super nice, flexible and just all around nice to work for.
Love, love, love Axolotl
I totally love Axolotl. Just as A-team said, fantastic benefits. Yes, strict schedule, but never ever had a problem getting off when I needed to. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.
I worked for a temp agency for 3 years..LOVED it. Just worked. No counts, no hassels, GREAT pay..
No benefits at the time. I even learned pathology while temping (8 months on that assigment). I loved the variety, the ability to say I'm not available such and such time. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I didn't need benefits.
A company is ONLY supposed to verify that someone worked there, what dates they worked, whether PT o
and last date worked. It opens everyone up to a lawsuit if more is given, so most companies are told by their attorneys and business advisors to verify only.
No one has a right to a reference, only verification of employment.
It worked! Latest suggestion from DJ's email worked. nm

If I worked a longer day, I just put my regular shift, 3p-11p, or whatever. If I worked sm
an extra day, then I was told to fudge the hours around on the other days so it all came out to 40. I didn't really mind -- have learned not to expect overtime in this profession -- and I was happy to be able to work whenever I needed to get the lines I needed. However, them telling me directly to fudge on my time sheet would seem to be a violation of the wage and hour laws. I suppose it doesn't matter now if they do not even have enough work to make the minimum line count necessary. Several of the companies I thought were golden seem to have gotten a bit tarnished lately … sad.
I would love to know too, I love EXText
nm
Love Bayscribe and love the pay
At 11 cpl I love working for MDI Maryland. Bayscribe is a breeze. The lines build up so quickly. Everything is right there on the page. Sometimes, you have to fill in patient data, but who cares.... you do get paid for it. No holiday or vacation pay as it is an IC position. It beats 8 and 9 cpl any day. IMO
Love, love Archivus
Mind my asking what your line rate is? Do you have to work a schedule? Is their platform good? Anything else?
love/hate MT, mostly love it :)
i've long been dismayed with the direction in which this profession has gone, and i agree with the person who posted that women have accepted substandard wages and/or unfair IC or employment situations. It's very sad to see how, when outsourcing became the norm, women did not adequately negotiate to, you know, pay their bills!!! It seems this has resulted in lots of undercutting and lower line rates for everyone. I see some companies slowly improving and not requiring crazy line counts and hours in exchange for paying into health insurance. i entered this profession as a single female. i married an engineer and was living mighty comfy and cushy and happily doing 4 hours at 11 cpl in the late 90s. didn't have to worry about not having bennies at all. now as a single mom with a young child, i truly struggle. but i do love my work and hold out for my specialty to keep the line count up. still, i see the glaring problems and it's just a shame. if there were an MT union, i'd join in a heartbeat. no time/energy to start one and be some kind of norma rae, though!
Ah, yes, a love/hate thing indeed!
Best to all of you wonderful mts, male and female :)
Glad it worked for you. I have worked for companies
that were more reliable and paid without the delay I had. Maybe you started before they started doing that but it makes no difference. I TOO am a single parent.
You are not trying to argue? Sounds like you not only are trying to argue but you are just waiting for anyone to post anything about the co on here so you can just get out there and respond, which seems to be the way I have always noticed it. It's like all the MTs or whoever that work there are just waiting to respond.
This board is about the good points and bad points about companies. I am telling my experience.
The people were nice people though, but my experience was not a good one and I will not say it was.
I can go a week after the end of payday and even 10days later but that's it. Kids would starve.
Best company I have ever worked for, and I have worked for a lot!
I can't believe some of the things these people say here, and have to wonder if it just the same person or two bashing. I have been at MDI for four years and I do not have a low workload and I get treated very, very well.
They one I am not sure of. I have always worked FT for them. I have worked both IC and employee
and I always did way over 12,000 a pay peroid. I am sure they are pretty comparative to other companies. You definitely could contact a recruiter by applying if they would answer all of your questions up front. Good luck.
Love it there
Okay, I have read all the posts and have been keeping up with all of this. I wasn't going to say anything, but some of the naysayers are getting a little nasty. I think that Transcend is a very good company. All of their pay rates and incentives, bonuses and benefits are public knowledge on the forum. It would make it very hard for preferrential treatment to go. However, I suppose it could happen. What I don't get is if it is happening to someone, why wouldn't they do something about it instead of putting up with it and complaining to the world about it while they do it?
Also, there are a ton of posts on here about Transcend from this thread that are not nice about the company and I haven't seen MT Stars pull one single post. I guess they aren't as biased as some would claim!
LOVE THEM!
I've been with them for almost 6 months, and they are the best! They truly treat their MTs with respect. I would highly recommend them!
love JLG
I have been an MT a long time and JLG so far has been the best company to work for. Work flow is constant, management is great, and so far, I have not run out of work. If I have my way, I will never go outside the house to work again. I cannot imaging having to drive into town everyday with the price of gas right now!!!!
LOVE MY JOB
I love my job. Best job I have had. People nice to work for, flexible schedule, no nit-picky QA stuff, like "comma in the wrong place". And great pay. RAH RAH RAH...I didn't even have to take any test. Sent them my resume, the called and hired me.
I love it!
"little control freaks with no experience other than raising a few kids" ROFL! Yeah, you have that description down pat. Honestly, with some of the ranting emails we get from team leaders or account supervisors, I'd hate to hear them dealing with their children when they think nobody else is around. OK, so one person on the team did something wrong, so let's scream at everyone!
I love OSi..but I wonder about this, too
nm
MDI-FL...what is it that you love?
I just got hired by this company and am looking forward to getting started. It sounds like a great company to call home and that's just what I'm hoping to do. I really need a fresh start after a bad experience with a few nationals. They seem to have a lot to offer. I would love some input from current employees on what to expect. Is the work volume pretty stable? Platform user-friendly? Easy to make line counts? Are most of the dictators pretty good? Do you they pay every 2 weeks or only on certain dates of the month? Is pay always on time? Have the changes over the years been for the better? Would you say this company is here to stay? Sorry for all the questions; I'm just hoping this is the last MT I'll work for. Any info you can provide on the boards or off the boards would be much appreciated!
You will love it!

I love....
You are a sick individual. I hardly ever come on these boards anymore because the level of discourse has sunk so low. There is someone else on this board who uses a name similar to mine and we have been mistaken for each other in the past. But, even if you mean to direct your comments to me, it is of no consequence to me because you are obviously ignorant. I have every right to my opinion and to express it. If low IQ people like you misinterpret what I have written, that's the price one pays for expressing oneself.
All I know is that I love the changes!
They are great! I can't wait! Don't care about much else. All of my accounts are on DocQscribe.
Would love to know if
feedback please.
Love OSI
...
Love it here at TH. And no way would they ever do that.
I've had emergencies, and as long as I communicate -- everything is FINE. The staff is nice. The work is decent (ESLs though and some mushy americans but who DOESN'T have those)... You can't beat their benefits and I've never EVER had a late paycheck. You can do worse, trust me.
Same here, love OPs.
xx
I second that! Love it there! nm
No but would love to know how (NM)

Love UST!!!!
I too also love UST. They are very good to work for. Their platform is their own but it is out of Word and extremely easy and you spend most of your time typing and not entering demos, etc. I highly recommend them!!!!!
Would Love to Help Out
Hi. I'm interested in helping out with your account. I work outside the home during the week and do MT on the side, so that would work great. Please post a reply/followup if interested. Thank you.
i love it

I love it!
I have worked for a few different MTSOs. Spheris, by far, is the most professional. They will send you all equipment...down to the mouse pad. Tech support is always available and always helpful. Pay is always on time. Training lasts a week and is very very thorough. After training, you are on guaranted pay for several weeks while you familiarize yourself with your account. You are assigned two accounts up front. If you have more than 2 hours of downtime, you can submit a request for compensation.
There are other MTSOs who pay more, but I earn a more than adequate salary and am very very happy with them. I have a great supervisor. I hope to retire from Spheris.
