Most people tend to work harder for management who treat them with respect. You do not have to be rude and disrespectful to be a good manager. In fact, a manager with your attitude has a bad effect on employee moral, which affects performance of the employees. I suspect your employees might be a little intimidated by you. You sound like a bully.
I have a wonderful manager who treats me with respect and I work harder for him than for a manager like you. I do not have an attendance problem, am on time every day, work my full shift, and I do not surf the net during work hours (and almost never take a break except for lunch). I have watched this manger handle a problem with an employee in a tactful manner and get results. Nobody wants to disappoint him because of his good people skills and professionalism, something you obviously lack.
I do not need management to be my friend, just need them to do their job and be there when I need help with something without me being afraid to ask questions or for help on something.
By the way, I would think you would have more productive things to do, like management stuff, than coming on here looking for someone to be rude to? It is okay for you to surf the net and not your employees? Typical of managers like yourself, queens.
Try to have a wonderful day.
