sm--As I see it, the main problem in today's MT world is that there are just not too many totally wonderful at-home MT jobs. However, everything is relative; if I simply compared Focus with my previous in-house job, Focus would WIN as the better of the two. By the same token, if I compared Focus with my experience at Medquist, Focus would WIN. I haven't interviewed with all companies out there, but I have interviewed with quite a few and turned down some positions that I thought were worse than Focus. However, with all the changes at Focus, most that have not yet been revealed, this can all change, at which time Focus could be forced into the lowest position on my personal list of the top MTSOs for whom I would want to work. I've was employed as a registered nurse for 15 years and wouldn't want to return to that. However, if I were younger, I would go back to school and get further training (and degrees) in some field with a more stable and lucrative future. I'm currently researching opportunities in other home businesses, including one involving the selling of holistic pet products.
You will never know if Focus is a good fit for you until you try it for yourself.

I seriously would like to know the details of your experience, because I don't want to be naive. However, I will only know the truth if I hear it from others who have been in my shoes.
Again, my experience is that I've just not been able to find anything better (or as flexible). At the same time, I don't maintain 100% trust in anything that the management at Focus tells us. TIA.

I am with you. I will not, as a matter of principle, work for ANY company that offshores. Why participate in our own demise?
Ignor post from Fedup
I suspect this person is not happy no matter where she works. You know, one of those people who try to bring a whole group down over every little thing? Worked with people just like this when in-house and most were just spoiled little brats who needed to have everything their way or look out.
