No. They dropped me to PT because
to their needs but it wasn't me it was the other girl on the account. Anyway they dropped me to PT, she quit, and now they expect me do to the account on a FT basis without giving my FT status or my benefits back.
They dropped the ball with me, too (sm)
I persisted a lot longer than I normally would because I really needed a job and had heard good things about them. I kept on them for weeks, and did eventually get hired. I was with them for quite a while but had to quit because I needed benefits. Still the best MT company I've run across. One account that doesn't run out of work. That makes a lot of difference.
So is this all QA or just those on the dropped accts?

we are in a depression. Yes, I said a depression. No one on television will say the D word for fear of scaring people, but do your homework. Our country's economy is tanking rapidly.

Dropped Accounts sm
How often have you worked for a company and they lost a huge account and you were fired? I am really getting tired of this career and really need to find another one soon before I go nutters. Company keeps screaming about TAT and hours and keeps threatening that they will fire us or the hospital will terminate the account. We rarely get any positive feedback, individual or otherwise, and when we do get one kudo, its always followed by a BUT..
Anyway, should I be worried.. Should I have another job just in case. I am an IC and get my lines and rarely work other than the schedule I gave but I can't be without a paycheck. We are barely getting by now.

You are right. Even Bill Gates dropped
the whole idea of VR, saying that it could not be perfected enough to be profitable for the software company who manufactures it. You are also right in that if something inferior is sold to someone and it doesn't work properly, they won't even think of using it again. In my experience, the C-phone worked the best and even WP5.1 for speed and from my point of view for making the most money. I also used to use Mac and found it to be very fast and efficient.

It's sad how badly new job postings have dropped
And those that are getting posted are mostly for places with really bad reputations and/or companies that don't respond to emails.
My line count has dropped due to CPL
I get taxes and insurance taken out of my check but my income went way down when cpl went down. At 11,000 lines of regular transcription at 8 cents a line my take home was around $800 (before taxes/insurance). When speech rec came out and we were not given a choice of regular transcription or speech recognition the CPL went down to 4 cents a line. Now my check is $500 (before taxes/insurance). It makes a big difference!!

It was costing her $350.00 a month for one person. She pays for her office visits in cash and gets a discount because she is under the income level. Same if she goes to the hospital. She gets a poverty discount. I think it is about 20%. Go figure.

We got the list from AHDI. If someone does not wish to be on our email list, there is a link to click on at the bottom of those for opting out. We immediately remove those that click the link.
We also have a few mailling going out. Same thing - if you opt out of the email program, we will remove you from all contact.
We need transcriptionists for many new accounts and have ads on here and other sites, as well as several magazines. We are going to need over 100 MTs in the next 3 months due to new accounts and more work on existing accounts!

The MQ email
Mine always come to me from corporate, listed as QNews...it was the reason the email system was crashing in the beginning because they were so big.
Not sure why some are getting them while others are not? I'd call corporate or maybe send an inquiry from the MQ website?

Things will pick up, everyone needs to watch the system 24/7. We can give you a backup for your backup for your backup for your backup. I too work for another service. It is tough juggling more than 1 company to keep enough production. I don't get it. No appreciation whatsoever for good MTs. I am done today as well with them.
