there so I never had to deal with Amherst when there was no work because I just stopped working and did other things. My feeling is if this doesnt work there are other jobs out there.

Work PT for a company and noticed something odd. When I work the day shift I get (sm)
actually fairly good dictators, a couple of toughies, but no more than one would expect. When I do the late afternoon/early evening shift it is like night and day. I get some really crummy dictators and tons of problem/miscoded reports.
They have said that there is no cherry picking able to be done with this program so I just have to wonder if the crappy dictators can't get to the dictate stations until after 4 p.m. or what?

I was looking for some part-time work because my main job has had NO work hardly at all, not even to make $150 every two weeks and come to find out FUTURENET has an ad for transcriptionists! What is going on with that? How can they be hiring when there is no work now? Maybe that is the problem - they are overhiring so much. This is ridiculous! I am outta here. I have waited and waited and waited and waited for some work to come in - nada! Anyone else having the same problem with them? I am a very loyal, well-seasoned Transcriptionist and I have been giving them the benefit of the doubt, waiting for some work while me and my family are almost, literally, starving because of it. I feel like I have been robbed!
I noticed that when I left DSG to work for another company...
my lines increased dramatically...don't know if it is because of the ESLs on the account or what, but lines were so hard to get.
Has anyone ever noticed from Amherst MQ there seems to be work in the account and then suddenly
it just strangely disappears. Any clue where it goes.

Whatever left is the crap. Also, check your line count some time. I swear that they have manipulated that also. I can now do over 2 pages and it comes up with like 50 lines. I used to be able to make a living there but can't anymore. I'll be quitting.

I worked there for few months and realized that its not a good place to work at all. Specially the Owners of the Company is the biggest problem to work there as he is not a professional at all. They are loosing clients recently and not good to go there

I read all of the replies to your question so far, and it is nice to see all the support from your coworkers. All had very thoughtful and well thought out replies. Must be a nice company to work for, and I think you are fortunate to work there.

Why dont you do the work for 6 cpl and keep all the profit for yourself but
I expect you cant do it so you try to hire people for 6 cpl that can do it. I bet you didnt get hundreds of applications this time.

There is no way I would work for anyone who did not pay me. If I get paid every 2 weeks, then..
the first time my check is more than a couple days late, they can forget it. You can bet they are getting paid by their clients. Who do they think does the work. The MTs should be paid above all else. I would give them a date that they had to "overnight" by check by or I'd file a company with a labor board, BBB, anyone who will listen. These companies get away with it because no one stands up for themselves. I do the work that is asked of me and I expect to be paid one time. No one should except any less than that. Good luck to you and nail them right where they stand on this one!!

several of us will probably get warnings for not making line count this pay period. What amazes me is that they've got an ad out today. Makes me wonder if things are going to get worse before they get better.

I agree with the other poster. Futurenet is great! They are very respectable. A lot of working is going to SR now though. That is the only downfall I have for them. But they work with you on everything! If they offered benefits, which they don't, I don't think anyone could beat them whatsoever. Pay is ontime EVERY time! Excellent staff! I have been there for a little over 2 years and have thought about going other places ONLY for benefit purposes but I just can't! They are too good to leave! I will be with them as long as they will allow me to. Couldn't picture myself working for anyone else!

Yes, they offer I think 4 weeks at full pay or 8 weeks at half pay. Call the office
and talk to them about it. You wont lose your job. They aren't like that.
If you think you dont get more of the junk work when it is picked over by VR or ASR you had better
think again. The best attendings will be gone to VR and you will get the leftovers. I have been doing both for a year and I can guarantee you your CEO is full of it. Dont believe a word of it. You will either make less money on ASR or less money on the leftovers. Take you choice.

I do understand the dilemma, but honestly, start looking for a job that does pay during this period. I know of many companies that unfortunately play games with your pay and I've been watching one do this for five years now and remarkably he is still in business because while he does eventually make good on his promise to pay, he wreaks havoc on those who work for him constantly. People like this should be shut down, but as long as his contractors keep playing along with him, he will continue.
I dont think you will make more than that for clinic work.
I make 10 cpl at the Q, but have been there 12 years and was at that rate when my prior company was bought out.
There are people who make that, but not for clinic work and probably not for just starting at a company. I have been applying like crazy and the best I came up with was 8 cpl for Basic 4 and 9 cpl for straight OPs.
Thats 15 years experience.
You have to wonder if the supervisors that dont care about no work are always

After seeing some of these posts, reading through many ads, and speaking with recruiters, and being knee deep in seeing some of the "mishandled, misappropriated, misguided, hypocritical, and profound blatant mistakes on reports, that are missed by QA, and mostly by some of these same Transcriptionist themselves, who are masticating
I have been with MQ Amherst now for 3 weeks and have continually run out of work. I know this has
been hashed out on here many times but my question is does anyone expect this problem to ever get resolved or should we simply expect to keep running out of work at Amherst forever. I know when they call me about the new pay plan and tell me it is incentive based I plan to tell them they better make sure we have work or their plan is a joke. What can I expect with this office and what can be done to correct it. I dont plan to have to work 8 accounts to get my lines in and have them QA me on accounts I have never done besides. If this problem is long standing and unlikely to be resolved it is time to either get out of that office or get out of MQ so I would like some good ideas and comments on this. We know it exists but what is the next step.
Why is OSi hiring new people when I have been out of work for 6 weeks?
I am statutory (or IC, whatever they are calling it now). I have a main account and 2 -- count them 2 -- back up accounts. I have been out/short of work for over 6 weeks.
Unless you are a full time employee, you get no benefits, no hourly, NOTHING. I am amazed that they are hiring when they have people already trained and begging for work!!!
Don't they realize that it costs a WHOLE lot more in turnover to train a new employee than to keep an already-trained one happy?
I'm looking at other nationals now. I've never been one to job hop, but I just can't take the time off any more!!!

I have 2 accounts, with no work on either. I used to think they cared, but now I am not so sure. If there is no work now, I have to think the closer it gets to Thanksgiving, it will really be awful.
Why is transcend advertising for help. No work is the story for 3 or 4 weeks.
