funds for MTs experiencing a short-term rough time? The only one I know of was on another board that you have to pay to be a member of now, so I have no access there anymore.
Daughter of a friend stole my billfold and used my ATM card to withdraw $500 (thank goodness, that was the limit). Now, not only am I overdrawn, but with all of the check charges, my rent check is going to bounce. I should be more than okay by my next check in a couple of weeks, but that seems light years away. My friend denies that it was her daughter, but it is the only person who could have done it ... so there goes the friendship, I guess.

If you want to use them as a temporary
place to work, they would be okay until you find something better. But is not a place you want to stay. In one article I read that the CEO wants to increase offshoring this year by a certain percentage.
Overall, I found it to be a terrible place to work.
If you can hold out until you find something better, I think you would be better off.
When I first started it was great. After that they show their true colors. I thought at first I got lucky. I don't think that now.

Try temporary work...
 I am sorry to hear that. I know what you mean. Maybe it's time to register at a local employment agency for some temporary work involving typing, etc. Have you tried that?

I worked for All Type a few years ago on a temporary
basis helping them to clean up backlog. Gerry Kelly is a great person to work for, the work was excellent, and pay was correct and on time. Would recommend them.
Kelly is a temporary service company that's been around for years. sm
You may not be old enough to remember Kelly girls. They used to be strictly secretarial, but do all branches of temporary work and job placement now. It may be a temp or temp-to-hire position through them, or then I could be totally wrong.

TRS is an awesome company! I have worked there for a year and a half and have absolutely no complaints. The employee has a lot of control over how much they earn, dependent on several factors. The line-counting system is fair and accurate, and I have never had trouble getting my lines in. I have never worked for a company that truly cares about its employees the way TRS does. They have been honest and up front about what the company is doing, why, and what the future holds. I can't imagine working anywhere else.

I believe this is incorrect. TRS does train and hire MTs in Trinidad and Guyana, and are launching another training program in Barbados and will hire some of those graduates, too. To me, this seems like off-shoring.

I have an interview with Transcript USA on Thursday. I will pass on what info I find out then. I am pretty sure that they do provide the computer though. Don't know anything else right now.
