Did anyone apply to Lee Perfect when they posted a few weeks back?

I contacted them twice but never heard back. The position is exactly what I am looking for. I have been checking the help wanted ads for a couple of months waiting for that perfect job description. This one had it all. They were hiring for my preferred specialties, they use EMDAT, and they pay well. Would love to hear back from them :-(

Phoenix Medcom- Another apply a few months back, ask to take a test and never heard back??
I applied a month or two ago, received an email from someone asking if I would take a test and said she was getting ready to go on vacation for a week, so I hurried and immediately and told her I'd love to take the test. I never heard back. I waiting thinking she went on vacation and would contact me when she got back to do the test but nothing...very strange..Just wondered if this happened to anyone else.
I posted just a few weeks ago on them....
if you put New England or New England medical in the search box you should find at least a few recent posts.
As I posted about 3 weeks ago...
'Integrity' is for sale for a price.
We just found out what MDI-MD's 'price' was.
So much for D and her loyalty to her team.
Former loyal MDI-MDers, now that you see where you loyalty has gotten you, PLEASE protect yourself more carefully with future positions. We are commodities to these MTSOs, nothing more and nothing less. To sell us out means NOTHING to them when it pads their bank accounts.
Please be more protective of your own best interests in the future!!!
Is it okay to reply to an ad two weeks after it was posted? Thanks. nm
I just wanted to update. I posted 1 to 2 weeks ago about
how nervous I was about Webmedx, that their system seemed cumbersome, etc. Well after a week and I have had time to play with the system it really isn't cumbersome, though I still have lots to learn. The system is Word-based and I have limited Word experience. Their Expander is ShortHand and I have NO Shorthand experience. Adding words is easy, it is creating shortcuts for steps and macros that I haven't learned yet. Anyway, someone e-mailed me privately that indeed the system was cumbersome and they made tops $50/day. After one week I'm doing about twice that, only working 7 hours. Everyone has been very nice, QA has been very supportive, even the tech guys (and I don't usually like tech guys) have been very nice.
I'm not a recruiter, I'm not even sure if they are hiring since they just hired a bunch for a new account and are still trying to work the kinks out of the account. I'm just giving some feedback, you can take it or leave it.
How long does TransTech take to get back to you if you apply
It says a week or so on their site. I am assuming if you don't hear from them in that time frame they are not interested?
I did get it back. It took about 8 weeks, though.
back, I did not have the monitor as it had burned out long before and I just used mine. I had to provide proof of where I contacted them and they sent me shipping labels to return that original monitor. They had to research that they had not sent me another one.
Once all that was done, they sent my deposit to me.
They took two weeks to get back to me
Yeah, they took at least two weeks to respond to my initial test. Then, they do A LOT more testing after that.
I know 1 got back to me about 2 weeks later
filled out and then told me if they didn't get back to me in a week after they received my test for me to e-mail them, and I told them to keep it.
The other thing you may try is other sites besides this one. Try www.mtjobs.com.
Back to NSA. Have not seen this for almost 2 weeks. (sm)
They must have either added more people or shuffled them around. You would think I would be losing weight or at least developing some mean, lean curves from all the flexing we have had to do in the past few months.
Anyone apply to recent CardioScribes ad and hear anything back? nm
nm
I did apply, heard back, and took the first part of their test. nm
nm
I did 2 weeks ago. My gal was very laid back
and I really enjoyed talking to her. There was a ton of questions about how experienced in certain areas, you had to rate yourself, and also there was a verbal test, I think 10 questions, thinks like what is hypocalcemia, what MRSA stood for, things like that. Very easy, had a job offer about 3 hours later.
i heared back in 2 weeks...
Give it another few days to a week. Good luck to you.
This was a job posted about a month back
at least the ones who posted here the testing was tedious and the dictator horrible. I also applied a month ago and never heard anything back. Fortunately I had only wasted a half hour of my valuable time and then to not have heard anything at all back even to say you failed, I just think that is in poor taste. Even if you don't want to hire me at least say so, but to have someone test and then not respond to e-mails is just not professional in my book and also not worth 11 cpl. Imagine what that would be like working for that company with poor communication from the start. I'd look elsewhere.
I agree! I posted on this a while back and...sm
got so much flaming I couldn't believe it! All I heard was, Well you picked a field that provides 24/7 coverage! I say that's BS! Nurses and doctors aren't even required to give up one weekend day a week indefinitely! If you have a kid that plays ball on Saturday mornings and you go to church on Sunday, which one do you give up? Your child or God? I refuse to even apply to jobs that mandate that ridiculous scheduling.
I heard Back Immediately - Posted by Blossom
I am not at all surprised to hear this, as this has also happened to me. I was given some insight into this by an HR representative for one of the major companies...Many of the experienced MT/QA's do not view the AAMT-BOS as an absolute bible. This was meant as a guideline, but many companies embrace as if it is written gospel. Apparently, the most of experienced QA/MT's remember the times when we were actually paid, and if the lack of work was due to their fault, we were paid for downtime. I guess us old-timers have to just lay down and die because we are too old to retrain in another field.
Awhile back, someone posted about a company that considered sm
30 hours a week to be FT with benefits. Does anyone remember the name of that company?
Thanks so much.
oops..went back 2 far and posted on wrong board
sorry
Terry..check the archives..you posted this back in 8-23-2007. See inside.

Beg to differ. It is not perfect and is a long way from being perfect. A LOT of hospitals
are moving away from voice recognition after trying it and failing. The good news is that once burned, it is hard to convince a board of directors to put out money like that for a second try.
I think that it has its place and does work if done right in certain facilities, but it is a VERY small percentage and will not hurt us for many, many years to come.
I am not hiding my head in the sand; I am actually seeing the trend reverse.
Yes, they offer I think 4 weeks at full pay or 8 weeks at half pay. Call the office
and talk to them about it. You wont lose your job. They aren't like that.
Never said perfect. If it were perfect, there would never be room for sm
change or growth. What I was talking about was the continuous posting by the same people, over and over again, that is vague and destructive. This is not just about Keystrokes, this is about the posts for other companies as well.
I think that not every MT is a good fit for every company, and not every company is good fit for every MT. If this were the case, there would be very little job searching or hiring going on, only if someone retired or left the field or entered the field.
It is the outright lying that is so horrible. Keystrokes is a transcription company which means that we have the normal ups and downs that every company has in terms of slow and busy periods. We have been very fortunate to have very little down time due to busy and also new accounts.
If there are check problems, they are resolved. We all wish there were no problems and this is the biggest topic at manager meetings, but human error comes into play here as well. We have a new time recording system that should eliminate that, if the information is entered correctly from the MT.
If there are tough dictators on the account, it is not the fault of the company. It is the fault of the hospital that has them on staff, but you have to take the good with the bad.
If there are QA complaints, it is usually that the leads are too strict. The owners have said that they would rather be known for being too picky than too lenient, thus having accounts say the work is not up to standard.
If there is a reliability problem, it just might not be a good fit.
I know that if I were to take over recruiting and hiring (which I absolutely want NOTHING to do with), I would not take job hoppers. However, I have been told that you have to look at the hopping and why it has happened. A lot could be poor choices. That's why I will never be in charge of hiring, but I can control the MT QA and reliability once they are on my account.
I worked in QA for Transcending back in 2000-2001. They were paying hourly back then. SM
The accounts weren't too horribly bad. The reason I ended up leaving was because slowly but surely they began to inch closer and closer to paying QA by production. When I first started, the quota was something like 30 reports a day. We simply had to make sure that we QA'd all reports that were close to being out of TAT first and then do the rest. Then, my supervisor left and they hired a new one who immediately called a big teleconference meeting and said we had to up production to 60 reports a day. Then, they started counting lines. Which was fine because they were still paying hourly.
Next, there was an MT who used VR software because she was blind - yes blind. Again, when I first started, I was told we had to edit her entire reports because she used the VR software and we had to make sure that everything was correct and made sense. Then, we are told only check the blanks. I wasn't comfortable with that and I continued to completely proof every word. Then I was called on the carpet not because I wasn't meeting the production quota, but because I was ONLY meeting the production quota. I told them I was proofing all of the MT's work that used VR, I was told that no one ever told me to proof every word of the VR reports and that I needed to fill in blanks and move on. When I voiced my concerns, I was told that was my job, to fill in blanks and I should move on and strive to product above the standards. Next thing you know, rumors abounded about changing the QA staff to being paid on production. So I left.
There just seemed to me to be too little concern for quality and more emphasis on quantity and I just didn't want to be part of company who would take money out of my pocket just to line their own and that's what they were doing by putting QA on production. I also am not comfortable with the job of QA being thought of as a blank filler. There is much more to the QA profession than just simply filling in blanks.
I don't know if Transcend ever did start paying QA by production, but I could see that the idea was being floated there. Maybe there was a enough protest that they didn't change from hourly.
Good luck to you!
Has everyone heard back from Keystrokes yet regarding the email we received a while back?
Just wandering why I haven't heard any response yet.
The Rates Are Posted Here and Posted Below
The service owner fees are posted in a UnionNow post (below), but here they are again:
SERVICE OWNERS CHARGE:
$0.115 - $0.25 per line for full transcription of acute care on 24/7 accounts
$2.75 - $7.65 per report for full transcription of pathology, lab, specialty operative notes, plain film and interventional radiology
$0.097 - $0.125 per line for VR editing
OF THAT MONEY, MTs ARE RECEIVING
$0.85 - $1.25 per report full transcription
$0.06 - $0.115 per line full transcription
$0.035 - $0.06 per line for VR editing
AS OUR PRODUCTION BRINGS THE MONEY IN, WE DESERVE A LARGER CHUNK OF THE PROFITS - OFFICE STAFF CAN BE TRIMMED INSTEAD OF THE PRODUCTION STAFF. IF A RECEPTIONIST MISSES A DAY OF WORK, ANYONE CAN ANSWER THE PHONE IN HER PLACE. IF AN MT NEEDS A DAY OR SO OFF, PATIENT CARE CAN SUFFER BECAUSE AN INTEGRAL MEMBER OF A HEALTH CARE TEAM IS UNAVAILABLE.
WE ARE STILL EXTREMELY IMPORTANT IN THE HEALTH CARE PICTURE. DO NOT SELL YOURSELVES SHORT.
IF YOU ARE AGAINST UNIONS OR INITIATIVES, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RESPECT YOUR OPINION, BUT BEG THAT YOU RESEARCH, SPEAK TO OTHERS, EDUCATE YOURSELVES ABOUT WORKERS UNITED. WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE HERE; THEY'VE TAKEN ALMOST EVERYTHING FROM US.
WE PROPOSE:
$1.25 PER REPORT TRANSCRIBED IN THE U.S.A. BY A U.S. MTs
$0.10 PER LINE TRANSCRIBED IN THE U.S.A. BY A U.S. MTs
$0.075 PER VR LINE EDITED IN THE U.S.A. BY U.S. MTs
I sent them an email back in August and never heard back sm
Is this company on Long Island? I checked out their website and even tried calling once. Were you successful in contacting them? All i know is that the company is owned by some doctors.
Hopefully, you will hear back. Unfortunately, I immediately heard back from MD-IT
but somehow with over 16 years of experience, I blew the test. I was soooo disappoionted and yet pretty stunned. I am by no means perfect but I haven't flunked a test in years. I expected it in my early years but not this far down the road. I was so confident and they will not tell you which part you did not pass and why so it really just blew my mind. I must have been in shock for like two hours after I got the email. Oh well, someone will want me....hopefully. I was thinking about OSi but I don't think I could take another rejection if I never heard back.
I had the same thing happen, went back to MQ, went back to KS and could not be sm
happier. I am on a different account then the first time and it is as if it is a different company. I have a great lead who leaves us alone most of the time but is there when I need her. It showed me that you can have a different experience within the same company.
I have to say that in the few weeks since they have the new office, it is much more organized probably because there are a lot of people there all the time. I had the pleasure of speaking to the new HR manager who was HR at a hospital, got my questions answered about insurance as I am going to full time and had a live voice pick up the phone.
Not all change is bad. This is one company that has changed for the better.
I was reading about the back up help. I would like also to have some back up work.
I am not getting anywhere near 12,000 lines this go around. My goal is 12,000 lines each pay period.
Lee Perfect
I always ran out of work, so I ended up quitting and finding another job.
The perfect job
1. All dictators sound like Patrick Stewart, calm and perfect speech.
2. The company pays a minimum of 12 cents per line, of course spaces included.
3. All management staff were transcriptionists for at least 10 years.
4. 20-year-old Buffy is not assigned as my account manager, just because she's somebody's wife in the company (and she's so dumb she thinks car horns need fluid).
5. Quick and responsive QA people who provide samples and are not menopausal, in a bad relationship, or on a power trip.
6. The company provides me a wonderful leather chair with heat and massage.
7. The turnaround time is 72 hours on all reports.
8. The CEO looks like Johnny Depp and comes to my house for one-on-one training.
9. We all head to Hawaii at least once a year for work relationship training.
10. They actually have a wonderful retirement program that will allow me more than a shanty house with outdoor plumbing.
Am I asking too much?
Perfect! Thank you! nm
Lee Perfect
Is there a company called Lee Perfect in Illinois, and does anyone know their website or anything about them? Looking for a better job...any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Are yo sure this is Lee Perfect? - sm
I have been with them since the early 90s and have had no problems. I know they made changes with their pay schedule so you now get paid in 21 days rather than 14 and in July we go to 28 days, but I've never had a problem with a bounced check, missing check, late check in all these years. Now there's another company that put me through that hell, but not Lee Perfect.
Lee Perfect
There is no QA per du jour. We have a staff of several QA/Editors and I am the QA Account Manager/HR Manager. We do not change our policies every month. When emails are sent out to our MTs - they go to everyone in the entire pool so that someone cannot come back and say that they did not receive a notification that work was overdue, etc. I know that EMDAT is extremely user friendly, however, I do not know about anyone who took a 30% pay cut. If anyone's pay is reduced it is because they are not transcribing the lines they should be. In fact, i have many MTs who are making more on EMDAT than when working on previous accounts that were Dictaphone based. It is all a matter of opinion. However, if you want information, you can come to me directly. I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability and if I do not know the answer, I will ensure that I find out what the answer is and let you know. I am sure you have heard that same line before but you will have to trust me to see that I get things done!!!!
Lee Perfect
Can anyone tell me anything about Lee Perfect Transcription? Thanks
Lee Perfect
In response to the statement that Lee Perfect pays late is completely incorrect and false. Lee Perfect Transcribing Company is owned by Linda Manderfeld and has been in business for over 18 years. The service to which you are referring that has payroll issues is Keystrokes Transcription Service, formerly of Bolingbrook, Illinois, now Yorkville, Illinois (hicksville). Keystrokes is owned by Lee Tkachuk and Lee Perfect is in no way related to Keystrokes. Lee Perfect has never, ever been late on a payroll or any bill for that matter. You have the nerve to bash a company with one of the best ratings in D&B. You need to get your company information straight. If you want the real scoop, contact me via email and I will tell you - I was one of the lucky ones!!!!
I would be perfect for that but they never have
responded to anything I sent them. That is so very sad. I know others who never heard a word from them either. It's their loss the way we all look at it.
Lee Perfect
I checked the archives and only came up with pretty old info. Would like to hear from current people working for Lee Perfect who could give me answers to these questions. Is there enough work on the heme/onc account advertised on the Job Seekers Board? What platform do they use? How are the staff to work with? Are they flexible on schedules? Pay scale...average, below, above? TIA.
Lee Perfect
I was hired by Lee Perfect in August and ordered a special foot pedal (98 bucks) and have been waiting since the Tuesday after Labor Day for my training. Every day the trainer e-mails me and says she will get in contact with me later that day, and every day I do not hear from her. I e-mailed her yesterday, stating I was seriously considering sending my foot pedal back but she said she would definitely train me yesterday afternoon, she was working 80 hours a week, and was so busy and guess what...not a word since. This is just for some part-time extra money - how long do I wait before I really do send the foot pedal back?
Lee Perfect
I would also say forget it on this one. In my opinion, you have been more than patient. Be sure though when you send that pedal back you get a return receipt from the post office. If they are that unorganized, I would want proof they received it so they cannot come back later and say they never got it.
Lee Perfect
Nice people, but never enough work. I hardly have any work during the day. Very slow. I think they have too many transcriptionists on the account.
Lee Perfect
I had to resign because I never had enough work to do. The QA supervisor is under a lot of stress since she is undergoing chemotherapy. It takes a very long time for her to get back with you. There are other better jobs out there, but you just have to look carefully. They put you in a typing pool, which I hated because they hired way too many MTs on the account and when I logged on to work, my que was totally emptied. I'm experiencing the same thing with my current job as well. I'm beginning to think I need to find a different career!!!!
Lee Perfect
Does anyone know why Lee Perfect requires Emdat experience in their ads for jobs. Is this system that difficult to learn? After working for several nationals, none of them have ever required that I know their platform before they will hire me. How is Lee Perfect to work for. Pros and cons, please. TIA
Lee Perfect
I always ran out of work. I do not like being in typing pools. I could never be guaranteed my daily line count. Be careful.....
Lee Perfect
You must have Emdat experience. I sent my resume to them because I had everything they wanted except the Emdat experience, and they wouldn't even consider me. Do you know why they would require that experience? I have never had any difficulty learning a platform before.
Lee Perfect
They hired me immediately without EMDAT experience. I had lots of ortho experience. However, they never had enough work for me to do so I looked elsewhere. I do not like typing pools. The lady who is in charge of hiring is very nice, but is under a tremendous amount of stress. She is undergoing chemotherapy. She is probably swamped with applications because she placed ads for tons of different positions. I would just keep e-mailing her back and tell her you are experienced. EMDAT is a breeze to learn even if you do not have experience.
Lee Perfect
I sent my resume to Lee Perfect responding to their ad on the Job Board here...they e-mailed me back with a test that included a zillion questions regarding everything from A-Zand another test on the usual medical stuff. Does anyone know if it is worth going through all the hoops? Are they good to work for and how about their cpl rate, is that good or not so good. Not sure I want to go through all this before knowing the answers to my questions.
TIA
Help please...Lee Perfect
I am interested in hearing from current MTs who work for Lee Perfect. How are they to work for and would like to know if you are able to get good line counts with EMDAT, and if so, how long does it take for you to become productive. I am especially interested in hearing from hem/onc transcriptionists and what they think of these accounts. Thanks so much for your time.
Lee Perfect...
Lee Perfect - like them.
TTS - they stink
Focus - they stink
