Allegiant is a wonderful company to work for. she ALWAYS pays on time with direct deposit. All of her accounts are in the database and there are no patient lists used whatsoever. I have used Emdat for 6 years and I am very happy with the amount of money I make.

That job has already been filled
They post jobs like that because they feel it is the PC thing to do but 9 times out of 10 they already have someone in place. That's the way OSi does business unfortunately. If they have it in for you, you will most assuredly not be promoted by them. They promote from within meaning people they don't have it in for.
already filled in with me too
the data is already filled in for the company that I work for also. I don't work for Allegiant, but do use EMDAT. I'm paid for two lines before I type one character.
Yes, had a contract and filled out sm
a 1099. Received checks without taxes deducted. All of a sudden deducted taxes, and told me I was staying employee like it or lump it. From what I read on these boards, this company is always low-balling someone.
Maybe the M-F positions are filled? Don't know

As I was out to get my prescriptions filled
Diskriter called. I sent them my resume Sunday. The thing is, I work for a hospital that is going to VR and templates. They are cutting back on MTs. They are leaving the CMTs, higher producers and the ones with the most experience to do the leftover MT work. They offered me a position in medical records. I will be doing the corrections, scanning charts and other clerical things as well, which would be fine, but they are going to give me a flat hourly rate at $11/hour. I made more on production. I will be driving 40 miles in-house. I drive a gas guzzling Chevy Suburban. Plus, I will be getting up early early, having to get dressed, get the kids dressed and out the door so I can be there by 7:30. If I am late they will write me up. I forget how many write-ups I can get before they give me to boot. I know for a fact that they are not as flexible with their hourly employees as they are with their production employees. It makes me nervous. On the other hand, I will be using different skills other than MT. I won't be making much profit though.
I filled out an application
I filled out the application and sent in my resume. I was called for an interview and then asked to test, and I had the 2nd interview today and was hired. I am so excited!
Jobs filled up
These days with all the people applying for jobs in this field, it is not surprising they filled up the position in a few days. There are many more MTs than positions at good companies (note I said good companies). If it were me, I'd send an e mail or call asking that they keep my resume. You never know when they will need someone because of becoming exceptionally busy with snowbirds in Florida (they have accounts there). My 2c.
I filled in for a short time . . sm
I worked for them about 3 years ago. They have a WP platform I believe. I thought it was a little fiddly, but not bad. Lots of OPs, big hospitals. They didn't bug me, just let me work. It's easy to make the lines if you're experienced. They really know what they are doing. If I needed the work, I would go back to them without hesitation.
She posted that all the spots were filled now, anyway. nm
s
That's exactly it - the shifts everyone wants (day shift, MF) are filled but the others sm
are open. Should we just not fill them because YOU don't have enough to do? My STM sent out info regarding what shifts were open and asked if anyone was interested in taking on that account. Obviously not enough people were interested, meaning they have to hire to fill those weekend and night shifts.
She has posted that the spots are filled
xx
I just had 2 meds filled and never paid a dime.

Do you give it back with the blanks filled in?
I send things to QA and never hear back until I prod and prod. This is a waste of my time as well only to hear from QA don't know, we sent through with the blank. If you are filling in the blanks, then you should be giving it back to the MT with the mistakes filled in and also a way for the MT to relisten. JMO. Is this MT doing the same doc or is she being thrown new ones to learn each day? As far as the timeframe for when will she learn, there are a lot of variables to that question in my opinion. Sorry to sound sort of like huh?, but you seem like you are sort of complaining about the job you chose. If you do not like QA, why not try going back to being an MT. JMO. Good luck with the MT though..
Why positions cannot be filled. Not due to lack of workers,
Is it because Microsoft cannot meet employment demands based on available US similarly trained workers without paying US expected pay. I am sure if Microsoft was offering a decent wage those positions could be filled. But they will not be filled with US employees if Microsoft is only willing to pay offshore pay rates.
I filled out the paperwork and late the same day they called
to setup an interview the next day and I was immediately offered a position. They have a large account coming on-line very soon and are trying to train several people too, so there may be a backlog. I was hired 2 weeks ago and start training later this week.
I was told the oncology positions were filled already. nm
nm
Just filled out my new hire paperwork today-sm
I'm glad to hear encouraging things. I'm really excited! I'm just P/T so all the OT stuff and what not does not apply to me anyway.
and was emailed immediately that the position had been filled, ad is now gone..hmm (nm)

RE demographics
Sometimes the MR # is already there, but I always have to type in the name and date of visit as well as the DOB and MR # if the doc dictates it. Sometimes he spells the patient's name. If not I type it to the best of my ability and move on. We get paid for all demographics.
I would take it to mean too many demographics. Maybe
s
So how much demographics?
Heck if it is only 1 number I'd say that's good. Try the MDI-MD Lanier account I used to do. You had to type in ALL the numbers and dates from both Lanier screens and pick the docs (on a list at least). On a consultation you also had to fill in requesting physician, date, type of consultation and consulting physician. And if they dictate it on all reports room numbers too. Not to mention the accounts are 85% ESL.
What is demographics?
I don't know what it means when you say demographics when speaking about working for a National. What is that?
DEMOGRAPHICS
Do any of you remember the days when the sup or clerk would edit the Lanier dictation as the dictation came in, listen, edit and then you received it?
100 QA DEMOGRAPHICS
demographics, etc.
Someone also recently told me that NONE of the normals are paid any more!! and have you noticed that their clocks do not correspond to real time?? That's how they decide FT/PT, whether you get insurance, PTO, etc...
So all three you just filled in the blanks and didn't need special equipment?
The MT I work with and I might test with them this week.
Think they posted that all spots were filled 2 days after posting
s
Yikes..5 cpl and they filled the positions..pathetic..okay all you out there that stooped so low to
accept that rate, please raise your hand LOL.. That is SHOCKING..who could live on 5 cpl. I think I'd be insulted and humilated and DESPERATE to accept that rate. I'm pretty sure they are getting more than 5 cpl from their clients. You can bet they are making more than enough by having the slaves work for free practically.
How many have filled applications out with what you make and test and never hear
anything back. I wonder if you make a decent 10 cpl or something that is the end of hearing back from them thinking you want that much or more when you fill out the application.
I have tons of experience and I sent a resume to them and I filled out the application, took the
test, did fine, got a huge questionnaire to fill out that took about 1/2 hour or more then got a call and they wanted me to take an oral test and do another editing test. I thought what is this. This all took hours of my time. I do think you have to clock in and out like at MQ and I am not interested in the least in doing that again. Been there and done that.
Demographics a nightmare!
She seemed nice, pay was on time, but the time put into searching for patient demographics was ridiculous. If they ever changed that, wouldn't be too bad.
I agree with demographics.
Wayyyy too much. I lasted longer than Miss Willy, worked there about 9 months, and it was like drowning. They kept adding more accounts and more demographics, and it was a miracle if you could get your line count.
About this demographics issue...
I don't understand...there's one number we must fill in on the DI, unless the MRN doesn't pull up the patient name, which is rare. It takes all of 2 seconds to put in the visit number, so to complain about that is just ridiculous. AND, we are VERY lucky to have so much work, while other companies can't even provide enough to keep their MTs making the minimum required lines...I, for one, Love Amphion...going on 2 years with them and am very happy. But hey, if there is a mass exodus, just means more work for me...and I only work 7 hours a day, make well above the minimum requirements...maybe you all just can't handle the perfection that it takes to be an Amphion employee...
What about the demographics at Keystrokes?
xx
Demographics are paid for.
You are paid for the demographics - you should clarify that. I always check demographics - are you relying on the physicians to key it in correctly? I think to take pride in our work, we do have to check demographics, even though 95% of the time they should be correct. If you are not getting matches most of the time, it could be a technical problem
I'd have to agree with you on the demographics.
I really hate not being paid for the headers and footers, especially when I spend so much time checking on the demographic info. It wouldn't be a problem if it were occasional, but on my particular account, it seems that the majority of reports have some sort of error or need more information. It's a lot of time spent following along behind lazy docs who can't enter numbers correctly. Maybe if I knew TT was holding the client's feet to the fire to get the docs to do things properly, I could at least have hope that someday all the demographics would come up correctly.
Oh! And copying and pasting repetitive cc information and looking for routing printers! I forgot that one! Add that to life's annoyances. Ugh.
SECOND WEEK 100%QA FOR DEMOGRAPHICS?..nm
SECOND WEEK 100%QA?
I am not talking demographics SM
I am talking errors, like transcribing incorrect medical words, incorrect values. If the client is requiring that their work be free of medical and number errors, I don't call that being picky at all.
You have to check the demographics just
to insure you have the right patient, correct visit dates, etc. You can't do this job if you don't check demographics.
may depend on account; mine needed demos filled in.
nm
I use Ex-Text and don't have to type demographics
Maybe it depends on the account?
Does the demographics fill in on your account or do you ....
have to type them in? I had an account that filled in and it was not too bad. The account I have now must be searched out from the patient name to the type of document. Really sucks because it is so terrilby time consuming. Get a ESL saying the name and you can be looking at several minutes just to locate it.
I'm confused. Demographics autopopulate - ok, but what else does? (sm)
I'm confused now. Are you talking about for example, DATE OF ADMISSION DATE OF DISCHARGE, SURGEON: etc. etc. Isn't that a header. Could you please elaborate? Thanks
Time spent in demographics
Are there any company platforms out there where the demographics are already in place? I could just scream sometimes trying to be a detective to get all the demographics in place only to have a one-liner follow. Sigh... is it just me or are there others with the same frustration. It's difficult to make rate when demographics have to be researched and the patient name sounds like Blavopvoskitapove. Thanks for any clues on this.
If you like typing tons of demographics...
Then Amphion is for you!!! Yes, their platform is horrible. Too much searching for doctors, account numbers, etc. Not enough work on one account so you have to learn up to 6 (which I did). All 6 will have vastly different rules/regs and you better know the difference because they hit you on QA. Sometimes in a week mandatory overtime and 2 days later no work. You will be asked to flex your time, meaning stuck to the computer to make up the time to get your line count.
I do have to say, the people are great. Also, they do not offshore!! And, like the person above stated, their pay is more because of all the extra DI screen info you have to put in. Wasn't worth my time and moved on to somewhere better.
More sophisticated MT services have demographics already in or
xx
Hey fellow MTs! Will someone please share which co's pay for demographics. Thanks! nm
,,
No, but the demographics are almost always already entered into the system for you.
I am sure it probably depends on your account as well, but all 5 of my accounts don't need demographics entered, except on a rare occasion when the dictator puts the wrong number in.
Does Keystrokes pay for demographics, headers,
Thanks!
Yeah, and do you have to fill out a bunch of demographics
and garbage without being paid for typing it all when it takes longer than typing the actual report?
