So far these are the two companies that have offered me a job and I have been reading not so nice feedbacks. Since I have no choice right now and I need a job immediately, I would like to ask anyone if I have to choose between the two? Which one do you think I should choose? Your inputs will be greatly appreciated

medscribe FLORIDA
Stay away, cheat with line counts, treat you like dirt. The worst account I ever had. No joke. Everything and anything is an improvement after that place. The trainer has an accent that will drive you insane. The recruiter is a total jerk who thinks up stupid contests and demeans you and she is lazy lazy lazy. If you ever call with a question she is like so annoyed. She hasn't had her sandwich or her coffee or she just woke up. Worst of all you make almost no money.
I have been with MedScribe in Florida
for almost one year now and they keep me in work. I know there are several Med-scribe's out there, but only one MedScribe and they are in Florida. I think the one I work for is the largest as they have many MTs and seem to add new hospital accounts quite often. Do your own research but I have been quite happy and quite busy. Happy New Year to everyone!
MedScribe in Florida
I know there are several MedScribe's, but the one I work for is in Jacksonville Florida and they are really nice. I am sure they have a phone number on their website, why don't you call and see if you can speak to someone.
medscribe Florida
I found this old post from last year about medscribe. It sounds as if there may be other medscribes but if I am following it right which I think I am this is the one about Medscribe out of Florida.
Hello, I am very sorry I cannot tell you about Medscribe. You won't find any negative info on this board about them because they are related to the company and the recruiters who hire exclusively for Medscribe....if you follow the link on the side column to affiliates you will see the recruiter who hires for Medscribe. The monitor deletes all the info if negative about the company. I've seen a lot of negatives in the past and when I go back to find it,, it's completely gone.

How long does it take to hear back from MedScribe? I took their test over the weekend and recruiter stated he would call me but has not.

Does anyone do ER for MedScribe Florida? (sm)
Is the work steady? Do you have to work a strict Su-Th or Tu-Sa schedule? Are the benefits and pay good? TIA.
MEDSCRIBE IN FLORIDA
I sent my resume several times to Medscribe in Florida, with no response. I finally contacted them by phone and received a very rude response from the male recruiter. He said that he ignores resumes that do not provide detailed information about prior companies for which the applicant has previously worked. Well, my resume is one page, and does not include these details. It seems to me that the fair thing for him to do would be to state his expectations or ask for more details, but he prefers to just ignore and keep posting openings to find those who meet his every requirement. I was sort of grateful to him, actually, because I was certain after that conversation that we would never get along.
MedScribe in Florida
Anybody else with MedScribe notice the sudden drop in DVI work on primary accounts? Very unusual except around holidays.
Medscribe in Florida
I am looking for information from employees who have worked for or currently work for Medscribe in Florida. Good, bad? Do they monitor your work or leave you pretty much alone to do what you have to? Also, are they flexible with their schedules? I've read some of the archived info, but would like something a little more current. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx.....
Cymed or Medscribe
i agree with crazed, i am a Cymed employee and love it.
I have been with MedScribe in Florida for 6 months
and have always had work, pay is direct deposit every other Friday. They just started using Aetna for insurance and I signed up for the coverage. I know they are starting a new hospital in SC in January, we received an email about the new account. Hope that helps.
Me, too. I've been with MedScribe out of Florida sm
I have been with them now for 1-1/2 years as an IC and 1 year now as an employee. Always have work. Checks on time. Easy platform. Responsive customer service. No problems.
sounds like MedScribe Florida
Actually the staff used to be at softscribe and a bunch of them went together to Medscribe or so I heard. But sounds like the same deal. I went into a depression working for them. They were just too harsh and for no reason... just cracking the whip... what a turn off to professional MTs.
What platform does MedScribe in Florida use? nm

Anyone have any info on Medscribe in Florida?
I am considering applying with them. My current company has been low on work almost all month, and I don't know how much more I can take. I was thinking of applying for an ER account with them since I have been doing ER for about 2 years now. Anyone have any experience with them? Any info, good or bad, would be very much appreciated!
BTW: Talking about the Florida MedScribe.

Has anyone been hired at MedScribe in Florida and ....SM
the work that you are being given to do is not what you were told when talking to the recruiter? I am in this position, but I am hoping it is still due to the holiday lull. I really don't want to start over again somewhere else.
MedScribe Florida MTs how did you do today?
Just curious how much work you all got today and whether you are on DVI, Chartnet or both. I am on DVI only and have only gotten about half my lines done today so far.
MedScribe in Florida is a good company
MedScribe in Florida is a great place to work, you will find many posts in the archives. There are several other places that call themselves MedScribe but they are not out of Florida. The one in Florida has been around since 1992, I have worked there for 3 years and they pay on time with direct deposit every other week and the insurance is affordable and a good plan.
I had an interview with the Medscribe in Florida about a year ago.
IMO, the recruiter needs a lesson in Professionalism 101. He, out of the blue, proceeded to put down the previous company he recruited for, Medware. I thought that was really tacky of him. I never brought up Medware during our conversation -- just was really strange.
I believe that the Medscribe out of Florida is a different company than the one out of New Jersey
but I could be wrong... I applied with the one out of New Jersey and there never seems to be anything on here about them, which to me is a good sign. This was for an Dictaphone account also.
Does MedScribe in Florida do clinic work and/or hire
s
if you had to pick one; medscribe or CyMed .. who and why would you pick em? considering both
xxxx
SPi versus CyMed...SPI is offshore and YES they bought CyMed...
CyMed is now part of SPi and will be merged into the company and will follow all company policies and procedures. It's the only way the President, COO of SPi could grow the company and keep his job. He has to grow through acquisition. This means that at least 70% of all CyMed's business will be transitioned to India or Manila. The US MTs working at Cymed should be very careful and start looking!!!!
Please let me know what you decide sm
It never used to be this way. I used to love this office and recommended so many people in the past - but no more! What a train wreck. I can't get used to all the accents/formats with the constant flipping.
Please let me know what you decide and
please let me know what you choose and how it works out for you. When I worked for MS, I seriously considered getting a job at Micckey D's. The pay was just so low, came to about $7.00 an hour.
Let us know which one you decide to go with.
Good luck. Hope it works out for you.
You need to decide... (sm)
You need to decide if you have more faith in today's BL message from DRC management or if you trust an anonymous post on MTStars that KS compensation is being decreased. (It wasn't hard for me to think that one through, but YMMV.)
I would define in the near future and for now just as those phrases were defined in the meeting: 100 days. (I love the work I do, love the account I'm on, have always been treated more than fairly by DRC and I'm willing to give it 100 days, but again YMMV.)
Clandestine? Cloak and dagger? I don't think you and I received the same phone call! My supervisor was very direct in telling me the purpose of the meeting. I knew she had a long list of MTs to call and I didn't press her for any of the nitty-gritty. I appreciated the fact that she called me personally instead of management sending out a mass email.
You said I should listen to the MTs here who've been through this kind of thing before. Honey, I HAVE been through it before. Does the word *harmonization* ring any bells? I was with MQ for nine years, started there when it was TL, stayed through the MQ buy-out of TL, adjusted and thought I'd found a home, and then Philips Electronics came along. (I believe that would qualify as a buy-out of an American company by a foreign entity, but on a much much larger scale than DRC/Acusis and with many more Suits involved, and pay scales to tinker with and platforms to make less productive. So, yeah, BTDT.)
Do I have any suggestions about where you should apply for a new job? Nope. Do I have any suggestions for you in general? Yes. There are a lot of things in life I can't control, but I CAN control my attitude and I'm choosing to approach these changes as positively as I can. If I'm wrong and the wheels fall off, it's not because I didn't put my best effort into it, and I'll be okay with that. javascript:editor_insertHTML('text','');

Help Me Decide
Keystrokes or Trans Tech - please. Any pros and cons will be appreciated. TIA
Help me decide!
I am applying with Transform, UST (US Transcription), Keystrokes, and MDI (though they're IC and I'd prefer benefits). Who would you recommend? I have heard good things about all of these companies and will have trouble deciding.
Thanks :)
how to decide
I think it would be best for you to interview the companies. You have a list of questions and/or concerns, do a phone interview and jot down the answers. Ask them for 24 (or 48) hours to make a decision. Take a close look at your apples and oranges and then jump in and get your feet wet.
Please help me decide what to do..sm
Ever since I learned about this VR switch it is constantly on my mind and I honestly do not know what to do. I love MDI, have been there for 6 years and they have always been very fair and good to me. I transcribe about 325 lines per hour and make good money. My pay will be cut by 2/3 on VR. From all I have read it may be possible to do twice as much which is still a big pay cut. I know MDI is a good company and I hate to leave and if I must learn VR as it is the wave of the future I would prefer to do it with MDI. On the other hand,I have been an MT for over 25 years, all in acute care, and the thought of being paid 1/3 of my hard-earned line count to correct the mistakes that the machine who took my job is making is just a bit hard to accept. Unlike a poster below, I don't think that getting assigned another account at MDI is a viable option. There are just too many of us affected by this VR switch and not enough other accounts to go around. My decision is..should I stay with a known good company, learn VR and hope for the best on my line count..or should I simply be looking for another job. From the posts I read here it seems that great companies like MDI are few and far between. Please feel free to offer opinions/advice either here or email me privately. I just can't seem to make a decision! Thanks.
I still am trying to decide,
but am trying to follow my gut like you said Robin. I will decide for sure tomorrow. For now, I'm going to sleep on it, LOL.
Whatever you SE people decide
to switch to, 8 or 16 or 24 or 39 or what the hell, you cannot change it for a year. So take your time deciding. I don't know when you have to decide by. If you are FT and want to stay FT no paperwork necessary. Just get your ankle braclet (hahaha). I will be right there with ya...
You're asking if there is one? Yes...you decide (sm)
You decide what you're going to commit to daily and turn it in. You have 24 hours to get your line commitment in that day. Pretty cool, huh?
SUMMERTIME...did you decide on this yet??
I'm still looking and thought about Transcend...??
If you decide to quit...
put out a resume on the job boards and list what platforms you are familiar with, don't know what OSi uses. But, if someone is in the hiring mode and you're familiar with their platform, you could get up and running pretty quickly since you wouldn't need training on the platform.
what did u decide on Precyse
Saw the add too and sounds good but without any input from other people working for them (except really old replies) don't want to leave where I am.
Trying to decide between offers
Morning all - I have a dilema and would like some opinions on what you would do. I have been offered 2 positions. One is with a company that provides equipment pays higher, but I would be doing reports that I am not that great with and they are ESLs. The second offer I have to provide my own equipment and will have to spend about $80 to get what I need and they pay about 2 cents per line less, but they are easier work types and not as many ESLs. Which would you choose? I'm sure I'll get a lot of those nasty posts I have seen lately because you think it is simple , but I do know there are a few of you out there who will not be nasty and give me your honest opinion.
If you decide to do this, I am still interested,
I have over 25 years experience in acute care, but mostly in radiology. I started in radiology in house, then went to a service and did acute care, then to Secrephone which eventually became MQ where I did acute care, then it was back to radiology. I am really very interested and offer whatever help I can.
How did you decide this was political?
We are online already with medical records. If we were not, we would not have jobs working from home in this industry!!
That may be unless they decide to phase
out the current MTs and send the work to India MTs, but who knows.
Trying to decide between MedWare and Webmedx. Help!!! anyone??
Who would you choose as far as platform, benefits, and pay goes.. and also stability of accounts. Bouncing around on accounts is a good way to lose productivity in a hurry..
Ok, there's 3 of us...trying to decide between TransHealth and Precyse
Anybody worked for both?
How long do you give a new job before you decide it isn't right for you? sm
My saga follows. Please go to the bottom of post for my question :)
I've been with my current company as a PT emp. for 2 1/2 months. Everything about them seems to be quite fair, not great, but very fair. I'm still on hourly pay of a whopping $8.50 till I get my production up. Therein lies the problem, I cannot EVER see getting my line count up with the inordinately excessive number of ESLs on my acct. It's just ridiculous. All I'm asking is to actually TRANSCRIBE for a living, instead of rewinding and relistening 1000 freakin' times a day.
I've never gotten the feeling that I'm being taken advantage of or given the crap work, I just believe I'm on a very high percentage ESL account. I don't mind doing ESLs, I really don't. I just want more understandable drs thrown into the mix.
This is my first job after graduating and I was lucky enough to be hired for acute care. I'd like to continue in acute care. I just want to be able to PRODUCE, improve and ENJOY my job. I want to be doing MT work for many years to come.
If you've made it this far, thank you. I'd just like some opinions from those of you with more experience about what you might do in my situation.
Also, how long do you give a job before you decide it's not a good fit for you? Am I giving up too quickly?
Thank you so much in advance for your input!
If you don't like things now, can you decide on your own about your future? nm
.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Go with your gut. If you're second guessing yourself, there's probably a good reason for it. There will always be another client, but a bad reputation will be a lot harder to overcome.
Medware of Alltype? Can't decide. nm
