Its quite catching isn't it???

Some of us are literally catching their sm
breath to do 35 hours a week. It is a total slap in the face to the women in their 60's who built this company to throw this into the mix. I feel I will NEVER have benefits of health insurance again and since WMX has no real 401K, at least not covered by the company, we are being put out on the ice floe to die.

I think I would clearly start sending out the resumes. I think the QAs has a bit toooo much power and really abusive as sounds like in this case. That would drive me bats, I just could not keep working with a continuous looking over the shoulder routine. Sounds like MQ maybe. I know they would dock for stuff, not my location at that time yet (after I quit in 2005) This is just bad, really bad, no way you can get it right no matter how you tried. Sorry this is happening to you.

I interviewed with them the other day and accepted a position yesterday although my acceptance was via the recruiter's voicemail and I haven't heard back yet. This is going to be a great new year. I can feel it. Of course, I will feel more confident once I get a call or E-mail confirming my acceptance.

Losing my insurance, my good dictators and work! I too check my work and was thinking the only way I am going to win this battle is to just rush through it for production sake. Then it occurred to me that they would still get me for being below the 98% correct threshold if I did that. I am starting to feel like I am going to get screwed instead of the hope I had that their software was so wonderful I could breeze through it and still be meticulous at the same time.
Please forward me the e-mail that you received.
I do not believe that anyone would tell you to take a few days off (not saying I don't believe you, but I know we are busy and I need to know who told you that).
If anyone is running out of work, I would like to know about it immediately.

I haven't done Radiology on a regular basis since 1997...but I got offered this job and I almost turned it down because I've been doing acute care for so long I thought I wanted to continue with that...but I took the Rad job and it just kind of felt good to type Rad again. I think I was burned out on acute care!

I'd try to keep my cool and just
call him back and remind him that you need to have everything taken care of today so you will be ready for training on Monday. He may have had other things come up that he just had to take care of. It might not be a case of disorganization, just a case of unforeseen circumstances on his end. I'm sure it will be fine. I know it's annoying but try and cut him some slack.

You are so lucky to have someone looking out for you and recommending a good company to you personally. I wish I had that kind of help right now. Always been with hospitals and having a really hard time working for MTSOs. Hospitals don't seem to be hiring or are through MTSO in my area, so I have no choice. But have been through the ringer, not paid correctly, not given what promised, insurance rate hike, uggg. The last 2 jobs I worked entirely for insurance and I just don't know what to do these days. You have an angel looking out over you. I hope someone e mails me someday with a great choice! And I hope someday this stress goes away! Good luck in your new situation and with that kind of support, sounds like you will do well! :)

When I first started out in the hospital, I worked as a lab clerk/receptionist and did some transcription and since then have done acute care for 30 odd years.
