Love it! Cook's apron, with the Webmedx logo embroidered on the front. I'll use it a lot. Very nice gesture.

Thanks for the MT week gift
Your thoughtfulness never ceases to amaze me. I love Olive Garden!
Did you ever get your gift for MT week?
We received email to expect something in the mail over a week ago, mine never arrived.
MT week gift
received a wonderful picnic throw from Deventure
Thanks to SoftScript for my gift on MT week. sm
Although I feel this is not necessary, I certainly will use my travel mug. I also stil use my reading light from last year. Thanks to whomever is in charge of picking out this type of thing as you always find something that is either needed (without realizing it - i.e. the reading light) or something just fun like the mug (that can be used a lot).
A Big Thanks to ProScript for the MT week gift
Just received my MT week gift from ProScript and wanted to say it is a very nice and useful gift and it is nice to be appreciated as a medical Transcriptionist from a company who really cares for its employees.
For the wonderful gift for MT-Week
It really is nice to be appreciated !!
MT week gift-eTransPlus
I recently started at eTransPlus and they are giving us a 1-year subscription to Prevention magazine.
When I worked at Spheris, in different years they sent coffee mugs, insulated beverage bags, small gym bags, but the one that sent a lot of people over the edge was the year they sent us a snow-globe with a mini-computer inside that said Spheris on the screen and then around the base the slogan was:
*All around the globe, Spheris MTs are hard at work.* Just another unpleasant reminder of their *Follow the Sun slogan regarding their Indian workforce.
Thank you, Medware, for the MT week gift! Nice to be appreciated! :) nm

DRC/Acusis Many thanks for the MT Week gift from a very happy employee

I love TransTech. Thanks for the MT Week Amex gift cheque.

Last year, from Keystrokes we got Blockbuster gift cards for Christmas and for MT week sm
we got candles and candy. I always get a birthday card too, which is very nice.
Christmas gift appreciated, but turns out not to be a gift if there is no work the day after
Christmas Day. Yes, it was $25.00 (twenty-five). I lost that much this morning when there was NO WORK. I had so hoped to have a good paycheck this pay period, and was working very hard to have one -- as I need the money SO BAD.
I was appreciative of the $25, rather than some kind of novelty advertising token with company logo on it, like some MTSO's would give to a prospective client, etc. Oh, yes, I made very good use of the $25. I took it and paid my high-speed internet bill, a necessary tool for working my job -- which the $25 was very much short of paying that phone charge.
THANK YOU TT for the $25.
Starting with WebMedX in a week or so ...
Have been with MQ for 12 years. Am really looking forward to WebMedX. I did a survey like the one you're doing here, and didn't have one bad reply from MTs who work for WebMedX. So, I'm really hoping it will be a great place to work! MQ used to be a great place to work....afraid it's no longer true.
So wish me luck!
I know Webmedx pays $11/hour for 1 week.
I have seen in the past week other companies that pay, but I didn't pay attention to who they were. I found the info browsing the job boards.
Webmedx pays $11/hour for one week and then
pay 25% above line rate for 3 days to give you some time to build-up production.
I start training with Webmedx next week...sm
Like you, I know there is no perfect company, but they do seem pretty darned close.
I start at Webmedx next week and was told...
that my account will be 30% ESL. When filling out the questionnaire, you are given the opportunity to tell them the amount (percentage wise) of ESL you can handle. I put down 30-40%. I'm impressed with the way the recruiter handled things and, hopefully, will feel the same way in a month or so. He seemed to really want to work with me and address any concerns that I had. Good starting line rate with a good incentive plan.
Did Webmedx honor your 2-week notice? sm
I'm on good terms with Webmedx and think it's a great company. I have an opportunity that I'm probably going to take, and I would give a 2-week notice to Webmedx, of course.
My concern is that when you give a notice some companies don't honor that themselves and instead tell you to go ahead and leave early. Has this ever happened to you with Webmedx?
Please respond only if you left on good terms with the company when they gave Webmedx a 2-week notice. The question doesn't apply to those who resigned without a 2-week notice to avoid getting fired or were terminated.
I'm thinking Webmedx is an honorable company and would let me work my 2 weeks, but with the state of the economy, I am naturally concerned about the possibility of being without 2 weeks of pay.
Thanks in advance!
We've been at high alert OT all this week at Webmedx. nm

Oh cool, thanks.

Cool.......
I could use a new home as well!
I'd try to keep my cool and just
call him back and remind him that you need to have everything taken care of today so you will be ready for training on Monday. He may have had other things come up that he just had to take care of. It might not be a case of disorganization, just a case of unforeseen circumstances on his end. I'm sure it will be fine. I know it's annoying but try and cut him some slack.
That is so cool!
You are so lucky to have someone looking out for you and recommending a good company to you personally. I wish I had that kind of help right now. Always been with hospitals and having a really hard time working for MTSOs. Hospitals don't seem to be hiring or are through MTSO in my area, so I have no choice. But have been through the ringer, not paid correctly, not given what promised, insurance rate hike, uggg. The last 2 jobs I worked entirely for insurance and I just don't know what to do these days. You have an angel looking out over you. I hope someone e mails me someday with a great choice! And I hope someday this stress goes away! Good luck in your new situation and with that kind of support, sounds like you will do well! :)
Cool! Thanks!
Now I'll just have to remember to enter all of my lines in on Monday!
Cool, thanks!!!

Cool, thanks.

I think it would be cool!
I wanna do it now and I have 4 kids and a husband. Hmm, maybe that IS why I want to do it! LOL
Don't know, but cool last name you have!
You are missing a wonderful opportunity to have an opinion column or blog! McBurney's Point would be an awesome name for an MT blog!
Cool! :) Thanks for the update! NM

cool change--sm
I sat back all day yesterday and watched the *backlash* you had wanted to start. It is unbelievable the twists and turns a post can take. Interesting! but entertaining, to say the least..thanks!
mean and nasty is not cool..

Even though you disagree with us, it's cool
that you can make an observation without accusing others of acting like children fighting over a piece of candy. Thanks! It's cool that at least SOME MTs can still agree to disagree without bashing each other.
Just went to their website, cool...
and there's one located near where I live. When I first started out in the hospital, I worked as a lab clerk/receptionist and did some transcription and since then have done acute care for 30 odd years. I told myself maybe if things keep going downhill I would check out the labs. But looks like I'd need more schooling anyway. Here's a job at Labcorp that sounded interesting, hope this comes through:

MD-IT hiring - looks like a really cool company to work for... any advice/information?
I sure would love to know more about the company - a search of this forum turned up zilch. I was with Medquist for 8 years, and the company I went to did not deliver on the acute care account I was hired for.....
I never knew that a message board had the strength to negotiate with an MTSO. How cool is that? Who
