Check out magic yellow (sm)

It's free yellow pages. Look under transcription and there might be companies in your area that you can contact. Not all of us pay to advertise (I'm not hiring employees because I'm just a small company) and you might just find a nice small local company who could use you.
If you're near a large city, look in the phone book. My suggestion is to try a smaller local MTSO rather than go with the larger companies. You'll probably find the working conditions, terms and cpl amount a lot better. :)

Yellow flame
Can somebody please tell me what the yellow flame means?
Can someone please tell me what the little yellow thing is ....
that is next to some of the postings? Actually it almost looks like fire. What does it mean?
TIA
Look through the yellow pages of your local
phone book and call agents that offer health insurance. Make several calls. I did this when we needed private insurance and each call I made I got a lower premium, although every company had the very same insurance. Celtic is what we found to be the lowest. We no longer have this insurance as we have insurance through DH job, but we had no existing conditions, no regular meds, nonsmokers, so I'm not sure if these were covered. I'd keep calling about COBRA. The company has to offer it. If you go 45 days without insurance and have a pre-existing condition you are in trouble, unless things have changed since we got insurance. There is a temporary insurance through Fortis that is very cheap, but the deductible is very high and it doesn't cover pre-existing conditions.
I'd stay away from the association for the self-employed or whatever it is called. When I called them their rates were double what I could get a private policy for and it was the same insurance.
I called 6 agencies from my local yellow
pages that said in their ads they sold health insurance. Each one sold the very same insurance, but premiums ranged widely. We currently have a cheaper insurance through my DH work and I don't remember if the private insurance covered eye care and dental or just medical. I'd also recommend looking into a medical savings account to see if you qualify.
Go through the yellow pages of your local phone
book and call insurance companies that offer health insurance. Call several. I called 6 companies when I was looking and all the quotes were for the very same insurance, but varied as much as $200/mo. Celtic was the best insurance. For a family of 4, nonsmokers it was about $335/mo. We don't have the insurance now as we have through DH job. I can't remember if that included dental/vision/maternity coverage. There is also a temporary insurance through Fortis, that depending on what state you live in is good for 1 year. It is not renewable and you cannot get it if you have a pre-existing condition, or have been without coverage for a certain time period, can't remember but I think it is 15 days. We could only get it for 6 months in our state and I paid the premium for the entire coverage and it was $403.00 total for the entire 6 months. The deductible was $5,000. This was basically catastrophic insurance, did not cover dental/vision/maternity. We are all healthy and on no meds so for us it was the best option. You can check e-insurance website and get some quotes to get an idea of coverage available, though it will not likely have everything that is available included, which is why I suggest calling local agencies. There is a self-employed organization that offers insurance, but I found to be very expensive, about what you are paying now.
Check into medical savings accounts. I don't know that much about them, but I believe you have to qualify for them. You basically put $$ into an account much like an IRA and get tax breaks.
I personally don't advertise in the Yellow Pages because I was getting a lot of sm
calls from housewives who know how to type *real good*. Or people who wanted to do this because they saw in a magazine that you can make a lot of money in your free time!
TT - ext text. Why are some voice jobs gold/yellow instead of white? nm
25.00 magic
Wowee. If I calculate 8 cpl as an average I get that you are doing over 3000 lines per hour. How is that humanly possible?????????????
Asking again about Meditech Magic - sm
Any info on this software?
They might actually use Meditech Magic
instead - either way would like to know some stats. TIA
meditech magic
I worked for KS for a short time, worked on Meditech Magic and found it quite easy to learn. In fact, my supervisor gave us a cheatsheet for Meditech and this was great as it listed steps from getting in to the acct to signing off the report. I could use my own word expanded and agree the spellchecker wasnt great. I was paid report rate so cant say much about line rate.
Meditech magic - SM
Meditech Magic is a DOS-based platform. I know both ExText and Meditech. They are totally different platforms, but I like both for different reasons.
To answer your questions: Meditech is a good platform. There is a learning curve if you have never worked in it because it is not Word-based. However, it gives a good line count and I find I can really go fast in it. If you would like to ask any specific questions, feel free to email me.
Magic or Client? nm

C&P with Meditech Magic
You can C&P into Meditech Magic but will need to reformat your document in Meditech. IT also works with Magic.
Need info on MediTech Magic - sm
Do you like it? Compares to? Cumbersome?
I use Client for one account and Magic for another. sm
On Magic, I average 18 an hour. On Client, I average 21 an hour. That is an average though as some hours are definitely better than others and some days are better than others. I like Magic better because I have used it for many years.
is that like, Puff The Magic Dragon ?

Question about Meditech Magic Platform
I have been working for Keystrokes for about a week now and love it. Yesterday, they offered to set me up with a secondary account in case my main account is ever low on work. Currently, I am working in EXText and I love it, but my second account would be in Meditech Magic using a C-phone, which I am purchasing through KS for $100 through 2 installment payments. Is this an easy platform to use? Are the patient demographics already filled on? Does it take a long time to learn? Just thought I would check!
I like Meditech. I am on the Magic version. I use an expander and sm
average 250 LPH, which is good for these tired old fingers.
I like Meditech. It depends on whether Magic or Client. They have both. nm
NM
The upgrades for Meditech Magic make it very, very fast. I love it !
nm
Ewww - I worked on Meditech Magic in a hospital system - sm
unless the platform has improved mightily, it was horrible. There was no word Expander in Meditech and the spellcheck dictionary was very limited. By changing to a Word-based platform, my lines per hour increased about 75 LPH in one whack.
Check Monster, CareerBuilder, MedHunters.com. Check with the companies you see listed if they're

Does background check include credit check?
There are two types of Meditech. One is Meditech Magic, which has a blue sm
screen and is like WP5.1. It is a bit cumbersome but not bad once you get used to it.
The other is Meditech Client, which is WONDERFUL. It opens into Word and populates the demographics for you.
Neither are bad once you get used to them. I make great money using Magic and a lot of others complain about it.
"You can check my credit if I can check yours"

Credit check, FBI check was not for
me. The notion that if you don't pay your bills means your not a responsible person really kills me!!! Lots of people have $$ problems, especially if you are an MT, LOL!!! They are the only company I know that does these checks. Seems a little anal to me!!!
They can check mine if I can check theirs...nm
Thank you. I will check into it.

I have'nt got the real check yet and did not know a letter was to accompany the check I was not expecting, so what is this for?
Check out
other trx message boards in which they repeat the same negative comments about Transhealth and go into more detail about the situations they encountered.
Thanks, I might check them out. nm

You can check into
Verizon wireless. They have a PC card that you can use in your laptop. It will give your computer a signal and it will work like a cell phone. As long as you are in the Verison service area you can use the internet. I have a family member who is always on the go and loves it!
You bet they can - check this out.

First Pay Check?
Is this your first paycheck from the company? If it is, then that's what happened to me on my first pay check only. I get paid every two weeks, but the first paycheck was withheld for two weeks so when I finally got paid I waited 6 weeks, but now my pay comes every two weeks.
check your......
email for a private message that I left you.

Bytescribe web side. I think there is a free one somewhere too. Very easy to use and kind of fun.
Did you check... (sm)
The system status on the main page? As of 1 pm PDT, status is Okay -- sort of -- It's the phone company's fault. (It was that way a couple of hours ago, too.) Clearly there's a technical problem of some sort(but I'm not sure I'd get paranoid about it and/or say Same Old S...)
no check yet either
Yes, I am in the same situation with the same company. They informed of my 9 cents rate and weekly pay. That was two and a half weeks ago. The work was definitely there and they constantly calling me to work. I got suspicious the second day when they did not send me a 1099 and no other paperwork besides their MT scope letter which means nothing but what hours can you commit to. Well, I felt it was too good to be true. I really like the account too but they wanted to me email every 30 minutes the work so they could cut and paste the work into the system. I was like how the system know if it was my work etc, etc. By the grace and mercy of prayer I have a job with benefits now while I was only IC with DocuMed.
FBI check and OSi
FBI called a friend's ex to get the scoop on me. He was later arrested for sex crimes and served time for that. Yeap talk about big brother OSi and FBI go hand in hand they have a ton of gov't accounts. We received an insurance settlement from a car accident and I was able to quit & leave them behind. Good riddance to them. That whole experience was awful.
Be sure you check out other
sources of job ads or even just look around for companies in your area and send in a resume even if you don't know if they are hiring. Check Craig's list for your area. Check sites like Monster. Watch for jobs that want a resume faxed or mailed instead of e-mailed. They do that so they get a lower volume of resumes, which works to your advantage.

Go to bbfb.com (Best Buy for Business). They have XP available only on-line.
I bought mine the first of August. I even went to bbfb.com, found one that I liked and added it to my cart but did not buy one that day. A day or two later Best Buy e-mailed me asking me if I was still interested in buying a computer, and they offered me a 10% discount.

I found this while doing a Google search. It seems like her company name is fictitious.
FICTITIOUS BUSINESS NAME

I certainly would proceed with caution if I was anyone thinking of working there. Fictitious, not for me!! NO way, Jose!
NO...No check yet.
No check here yet either. My check has been 3 to 4 days late for the last two months or so, but anticipate one shortly. Hopefully. I know the mail does take a couple of days and then the weekend was here, but.....
no check
I too didn't quit when the first check bounced. They gave me the story that they were in the process of switching bank accounts. But then the second check bounced. Before that, my check kept getting later and later until finally I was lucky to receive my check within two weeks of payday, so I suspected something was going on for the last six months.
check it out
The archives, I mean. Alot of excellent people with good skills and success before and after Alltype were used and abused there. Just trying to give you a heads up without going negative. Watch your back and the best of luck to you.
