the manual, it looks complicated or that you have to open up a lot of thing, I-player or something, a VPN, then the platform etc. Tell me it will be easy to learn and your able to whip through reports. I got spoiled on Escription where you just load the platform and go and then hit on button to upload. No VPN to sign into and load, no player. Just one thing. I think I'm getting to old and set in my ways to learn new systems. It seems like a hassle, so if there are any Chartscripters out there who can give me some positives, I'm all ears. I tried one other job that was the same thing and even got worse when I had to open up a ton of screens just to get demographics etc..and that was before I could even type the thing. I just cant see how that would be productive. You have 10 minutes into it before you even type the job LOL.

Is the ChartScript platform at Transcend truly
ChartScript or is it ChartScript.net?
Dictaphone EXT or Chartscript-Which do you think is an easier platform.
I have worked on Dicatphone and thought that system was fairly easy to learn. How does Chartscript compare to that platform and production wise. thanks
Platform, training, etc
Keystrokes has paid training now, starting March 1st from what I just learned. They have been putting together a training program.
The platform depends on the account. Pay is either by the report (most radiology from what I understand) or by the line with spaces.
Is this the info you needed?
I am in training - 27 years experience. Love the platform! nm

I am so hoping that TransTech has not begun to offshore. I do know that they were outsourcing
some work some time ago to another MTSO. There has ALWAYS been work during the evening hours and early, early a.m. hours, but NONE to be found anymore. Good time for the foreigners to be working
I hope and pray that TT has not started offshoring our work. The work has definitelyl disappeared somewhere. I don't believe that even with VR our work would disappear so FAST and STAY GONE SO LONG. This LOW and NO WORK has been going on for the past year and more -- before TT began VR. It has been a struggle to get lines/hours in for a LONG TIME at TT.
Or maybe Dictaphone took away some of the work on the Dictaphone accounts and shared it with another MTSO.
Do you recommend starting with clinic notes or acute care when just starting in the MT field?
!I realize this question may be better suited for the new MT board, but this board is my favorite)
I am considering accepting an acute care position, even though I am just out of MT school. However, I don't want the learning curve to be so steep that I fail before I even begin. I would also like to have a smaller pool of dictators to transcribe from as opposed to many.
Also, are there more ESLs in acute care versus clinic/dr office work?
What has your experience been? Would you do it differently?
Thanks for any insight!
Their training schedule kind of got backed up and so far the only training..(sm)
I've had is one short Bayscribe session. But I extended my 2 week notice at Medquist and I have until July 17 now to get some training in at MDI and do some reports to get familiar with the platforms. I'm looking forward to it!
What companies use ChartScript and ChartScript.net?
3M = SoftMed = ChartScript = ChartScript.Net
SoftMed was purchased by 3M in 2007. Both products ChartScript and ChartScript.Net are still available. Both have internal text Expanders that work well
I havent either
asd
I havent been with them long SM
But I can honestly say that they are the best company I have ever worked for.... Tons of work, excellent communication, very laid back, and a great bunch of people to work for.
I havent received anything. nm

Im trying...havent heard yet...
I wanted to ask anybody out there who works of TT Hughes Satellite system for high speed internet service? We dont have DSL or cable out here in the boonies yet.
I can't say enough about their training team. Excellent training!
The people at Medware are all just great. I wish I would have joined the Medware family sooner! They are very flexible and caring!
do you mean company training or med transcription itself training?
nm
You have to keep wondering with the new MQ pay plan that we havent gotten yet if they are going to
reduce the ASR rates or what have you and are hiring in case people decide to quit when the new rates come out. I have not heard yet what will happen with the ASR rates although they have said many times they are going to change them.
I did about 2 weeks ago, but havent heard anything. nm

Same here, I havent heard back yet. nm

I havent found a 9-pin to USB and I have looked everywhere. One place
told me that 9-pins were becoming extinct in other words so they didnt even bother selling adapters for it. I have no idea why the platform company, Escription, does not have their program updated so you can at least use a 15-pin that you can buy an adapter for and my laptop would take a 15-pin, but all Escription is compatible with is a 9-pin unless something has changed and no one told me.
I does end with an "S"..but if they havent jacked you around, I wouldnt worry about it.
I think for me, I'm probably going to bail. It's obvious the recruiter has too much on her plate as we're all getting the same story about forgetting things and contacting us in a timely manner etc..very strange but in this biz..flaky is the name of the game and they think we're the flaky, job hoppers.. I wonder why..Give us a decent job with decent benefits and actually WORK and we'd be happy, but that doesn't happen anymore. We just get jacked around.
Yikes!!!! No offense but more than 1 MT has said they havent gotten paid. I cant take a chance.
Thanks anyway..
Havent you decided to accept their offer..or have they offered a position?
If so, what kind of pay scale do they have..
2000 lines, I havent done that in years. What work type do you do? nm
xxxx
Medware..Anyone know what they pay their speech editors. I have applied but havent heard back. I
was just curious if it was worth my time or not.
Havent been at Scan Medical too long but finding the work drying up. Anyone else there
notice this.
I havent heard a word about an incentive and I have worked there almost 2 years so I guess I didnt
qualify for whatever status you needed to get an incentive. Is this something you get every pay period if you meet a quota or just something quarterly. Just curious.
what training? no training for me, first day they Tried to give me 2 ESL....
nm
they did not come up first. An hour of training is not really training.

RISS is not a platform. RIS stands for Radiology Information System. The platform sm
would be EXText.
ChartScript
Any opinions on ChartScript platform -- how is it to work on? Am considering job offer. Thanks.
RE: ChartScript
Work with it every day at the hospital that employs me. Great program. Word based, choose admission date/work type from drop-down menu, click on correct information, begin transcribing. Piece of cake.
ChartScript?
Can anyone tell me anything about chartscript? I am wondering if the program is user friendly, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
p.s. Have a good holiday weekend!
CHARTSCRIPT
I was wondering if anyone knows what companies use Chartscript for their platform....I have used it before while working inhouse and liked just wondering.
Thanks!!
ChartScript or ChartScript.net
ChartScript is SoftMed's Word based transcription application, requires an install on your PC. ChartScript is awesome, user friendly, easy to learn. ChartScript.net is SoftMed's browser based application, does not use Word and is awful. Hope that helps.
ChartScript
Worried..the hospital where I work uses ChartScript. I like it pretty well. We use it with WinScribe. Hope this helps.
ChartScript
Yes, ChartScript is great. Works really well.
Chartscript
Anyone know of a company who uses Softmed (Chartscript) as its platform?
ChartScript
I now work for a company called E-mtsonline. They are based out of Coral Gables, Florida and great to work for. They used to be MRC before Medquist bought them out 8-10 years ago. Hope this helps. Also, they have tons of accounts and work. Great benefits and PTO.
ChartScript
All I saw was 65 character lines. It seems to not count whole reports.
ChartScript
Headers, etc. probably are not counted since they don't pay for weekends or holidays either.
Chartscript
Can anyone out there give me a comparison of Chartscript as compared to Meditech, Dictaphone Extext, or DocQScribe in terms of productivity?
I realize this depends on the MT but would really appreciate some input.
chartscript
Your fingers will get used to the log in process quickly and it will become automatic and no problem. At least it did for me.
ChartScript
I have used ChartScript over five years. It is wonderful to work with. There are built-in Expanders and you can create your own. You can also set up your own normals. It is very user friendly. The demographics are easily entered. You can easily verify your line count. I have not used any other platform so I can't make any comparisons but I love CS.
chartscript
Chartscript was a wonderful platform, too bad the company that has it (SPi) sucks!
Chartscript
I just took on a new account that uses Chartscript. I have never used this platform before. It is a good, stable platform that is easy to use? I have worked mostly in ExText and have never even seen Chartscript before. I just want to be prepared. Thanks!
ChartScript
Looking to work with ChartScript. Anybody?
Chartscript.com sm
Chartscript.com.... the good, the bad, the ugly...? Any information greatly appreciated
