Very sorry for your pain. Why dont't you also go directly to the admin of the clients she had you typing on and scream loud and long about her practices. I have done that years ago and it got results. Good luck!

How to handle nonpayers
Contact the attorney general of your state and the attorney general of the state where the company is located. If there is a department of business regulation in either state, copy them as well. Then inform the nonpayers that you will proceed on to small claims court. Then do it.
Add Mndscriberz to the list of nonpayers and rude at that. sm
Still awaiting pay for work done on June 20th. Invoice was due June 25th and still not paid yet. Good thing I only lasted ONE day with them due to the rudeness, hatefulness, and flat out mean ladies who both run the business and both tell you something completely different. No it is not a lot of money, but hey if I could afford to work for FREE, I'd go volunteer at Hospice since I will be there someday. I do not put up with companies skipping out on paying whether it is $0.01 or $1000.00 owed so had to share my experience in hopes this will prevent someone in the future from getting taken as I did. I spent 2 days wasted away from my kiddos for the mere little bit I did make that I will probably never see, what a shame! Had to drop everything for them because they were DESPERATE for someone to start immediately and help them get caught up.
Why is it these company email you nonstop and call you when they need work done and beg but when you need paid, silence it is? Guess I will be figuring out that clinic's number to let them know I need paid since I cannot get it out of the company.
Let's see..........RED FLAGS. Boy did I see some and ignored them. Man I must be blind or desperate I guess.
1. If a company calls you with a blocked number and never gives you their number.......RUN!! (something to hide possibly?)
2. If a company sends you emails with made up names. No real names ever given. RUN!! I assume the company name is correct as that was used in the ad here on MTStars and in their email but cannot verify the name. Never heard of it before. If anyone knows anything about them, please email me. From my limited information they go by Angie and Barb.
3. If you have two bosses that cannot get their stuff straight.......RUN!!
4. Those desperate for help immediately are the ones desperate enough to not pay.........RUN!! (I take it as desperate for help because the way the business is ran).
5. No contract whatsoever.........RUN!!
6. No SS# asked for........RUN!! (guess they didn't need SS# since they had no intentions of paying!)
7. Will not tell you where the location of the clinic is or the company is when asking merely to look up referring docs info........RUN!!
8. Says your pay is contingent upon clinic paying.......RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (All kinds of excuses can be made as to the clinic not paying and how are you to know they aren't lies ~ anyone running a business should have means to pay their MTs or don't be in business).
9. If they say they sent you tons of samples and tons means ONE......RUN!!!!
10. If they don't tell you how they want your lines calculated and you can in no way come up with the same line count (under).......RUN!!
11. If they say they have sent you several emails that you know for a fact you have not gotten, those are all lies.......RUN!
Oh man, I am sure there are tons of others but my brain is tired from working so hard for a company that cares. If you have anymore RED FLAGS for us hard working MTs working for pennies, please add to my list and have a good rest of the weekend!
Add Mndscriberz out of Iowa to the list of nonpayers too. nm
