How can they stop MTs from contacting each other, e-mailig, or otherwise corresponding with each other on our own time? What country do they think we live in? Whom I contact, e-mail, etc., on my own time is my own business.

Yes, the industry is all over the place as far as billing and payment practices, but who could implement an standard across the board?

I'm not asking whether they exist or not, just if anybody knows of any and what their names are. At one time I did work with somebody who said that they had worked for a company and when they didn't feel like working, they just didn't, and the company didn't care either.

The work load will not increase, in fact it has been going down steadily the last 6 months and they are loosing more accounts. I have been using the editing software for some time now and I can assure you that without work being there it is impossible to make double line count and the editing is not that much quicker than transcribing. I say lets cut the pay of the big wigs instead of always trying to cut it at out level!
That's bull that HR has nothing to do with it. sm
On our quarterly updates from MetLife, the name printed on them as our contact is the HR director! It always has been that way, regardless of who the plan holder was. Payroll is the last person I want handling the 401k, and she's never been the contact for that. HR is a complete mess, they've been through SO MANY different HR directors in the years I've been with MW.

I have worked on Escription and other VR platforms...it is total bull that you can double, much less triple your line count. I will never do VR again. I'm sorry but MDI might have BEEN a good place to work for but if they are going to be paying $.03 per line for VR they are NO LONGER a good place to work for. I'd be polishing my resume.

Sounds like a load of bull to me. Some companies have old
reports that you can look up in their system. My company has samples from various docs posted in a database, other companies will fax/e-mail you samples. I find it hard to believe that all those companies are in violation of privacy issues.
