Just go into the situation with your eyes open, knowing all the FACTS. They take a whopping 30% off your pay because they say that headers and footers are not paid for, even though you have to enter in most of that data the majority of the time anyway. BTW, the headers/footers only make up about six lines, a far cry from 30% of your production. This should be illegal, probably is. I would not be surprised to find this company in a huge lawsuit some day if they're not already in one. They have their own line counting system. They do not send you an invoice or a paystub indicating your line count either. You have to just trust what they come up with, which was WAY OFF for every single check I received from them. I had to literally fight to get the folks to pay me correctly. They pay the first paycheck SIX WEEKS after you start to work for them, which is an eternity to wait for something that's incorrect! It was a constant battle with this group, which made it difficult for me to even find time to actually work! Oh, and good luck getting your last paycheck too! I will say this for them, however: They had one of the finest QA groups I've ever had the pleasure to work with. That's the ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS GROUP. Like I said, I was warned about them but did not listen. I gave them three months of my valuable time to convince me that they were worth working for, but eventually came to realize that I wouldn't send my worst enemy to go to work for them!!!

I passed through Brietner briefly. There were no deductions although I believe they did say up front that there was no pay for headers/footers. Their ExText worked slightly differently than TT's. (They don't pay headers/footers either and I have no problem with that but certainlly nothing questionable is deducted.) Personally the first time I saw a deduction on my paycheck for anything other than taxes, I would have but one thing to say....AUDIOS. I suggest everyone get really familiar with their production, then you will know without doing any extensive calculations whether or not your pay is correct.
