Just went through this. My transcription department was terminated, with my last date of employment yesterday. We were offered positions with the service they will be ootsourcing to. We were given the whole car salesman spill, of grandfathering insurance, incentive pay, etc. As the weeks went by this was all renigged on, and of course, in our initial meeting with the service, we were not told that we would be asked to work rotating weekends, and not be paid for holidays if we did not work them. Now, I know this old hat to some of you at-homers, or ICs, but we have been in-house. Only one of us took the position, because she felt she had no choice. I said no and am doing unemployment. We were used as pawns by both the service and our place of employment, in that the service hired us on to get the account, and our place of employment used us as pawns in that our docs and therapists were comfortable and conforming to the outsourcing because they thought we, were going with the service. SURPRISE! I am just saying be careful and make sure the service is going to hold up to what they are promising.
