I saw a post in the archives signed by TransTech Medical Solutions about Heartland buying or selling a company. I just wondered if TransTech was connected to Heartland.

Read through the archives, horrible company.
The dictators are some of the worst ESLs, sound quality is horrific, the reports are so bad I had to basically retype them, flaky QA, management problems, etc.

I can't seem to access the archives. Is this a good company?
D&L talks a good game. Am frustrated running out of work with Medquist yet again! Does anyone know if D&L is a decent company to work for?

It is an Indian run company. If you'll check the archives they
have been asked about several times the last month or so. There has been nothing good said about them.

Well, keep us posted. I'm curious how this company pans out.

Worst company to work for. Read the archives and you'll
be hard pressed to find anything good about this company.

I just took a big leap and applied for IC status with a company who just posted

a job on here today...HIP or Health Information Partners. I didn't find much in the archives about them but what I found was favorable. I have been employee status my whole life but with the new Medquist pay scales this year, my paychecks took a big nosedive. I think I am only going to apply to companies that have IC status even though I'm somewhat afraid of doing that. I just need bigger paychecks and more flexibility with scheduling and I'm hoping if I do get hired as an IC somewhere, I will learn to really like it and earn more money!!

Seems to me YOU are the one starting the problem because someone posted POSITIVE about a company!!
I take it you don't have a job because you THINK you are worth more money than you really are? Now I agree that the pay is not that great, but these days just to find a nice company to work for would be worth it. I hope you are miserable in your so-called high paying job...IF you ever get one. Similar but weirder story about another company that posted here
3 months back looking for people. I sent resume, followed up with direct phone call, she did not even have my resume for my 'phone' interview. She was to send packet of info and then contact me with time for further training. After 5 days I get an email stating since I did not return packet she assumed I was not interested. I e'd stating had not received packet and 3 days later I get 'second send' - I send email stating I had received that packet and would send in ASAP. Two days later I returned the packet - with all kinds of personal info as she told me I was hired - that was 1 month ago and nothing from her since. Calls to her office ring and ring and ring.....I've come to the conclusion she is a complete nut case who only lives in the moment - not at all sure how in the world she does business and I would never, ever work for her at this point. It is definitely all about her and her needs and who cares about anyone else. No thanks.

Archives doesn't mean it is old info necessarily. If you'll go to the main company page, typ
JLG in the search box, make sure the MTStars circle is checked and click on search you'll find lots of current information. This is considered archived information but there are posts are recently as last week there.

Funny some of us were written letters by company attorney when we posted our concerns here

TransTech not a bad company
Ok, before this gets any worse, lets take a step back and get the facts straight. Keep a record of your jobs as you should be doing anyway, Do your own line counting for each report. There may be a slight variation but shouldn't be that much off. It could be the type of reports that you are getting. When I first started I got nice long reports, now I am getting short scrappy reports and thats why I think my line count is down, not because of any line count scalping on their part. Overall, this is a great company to work for, the people make the difference. They are extremely nice and approachable and they don't bug you if you just do your work and do it correctly. There are so many bad bad companies out there and I do not believe this is one of them. When I can get back on I'll start doing some checking myself but I really don't think its anything but the short reports or report types that is making any difference.

TTS is a different company from TransTech.
I think the TTSrs should give the full name in their posts since it is confusing. And yes, when talking about Transtech I've tried to spell it out to help out.

TransTech is the best company I have ever worked for. I have been here two years
and can't say enough good about them. I know that they are owned by some former L&H people. They are adding new accounts like crazy and are always hiring.

TransTech is a great company. I don't find that they have any more ESL's than any other
company. The pay is good (not great, not bad), the benefits are affordable. For me, the best thing is that I feel I am treated with respect. They are great people who care about us. Overall, this is the best jobs I have had in years. I would highly recommend them.

Totally different company. TransTech DOES NOT outsource at all.

Honest, efficient company, TransTech is.
That's been my experience (and I'd appreciate not being attacked by the bitter poster we often get here).

If you just want to sit at your desk and push out reports uninterrupted by nonsense and criticism, and get compensated fairly, with good benefits to boot, this is one company to do it at. No headaches.

$2.75 - $7.65 per report for full transcription of pathology, lab, specialty operative notes, plain film and interventional radiology

$0.097 - $0.125 per line for VR editing

$0.85 - $1.25 per report full transcription

$0.06 - $0.115 per line full transcription

I have looked around the last 6 months and have found nothing better. Have turned down numerous jobs, and have finally decided to stay put. The better insurance plans were announced and even moreso than ever, I am staying put, and my paycheck is happy about that because it is getting better every day. Good luck to you.

Yes they have paid MTs with bounced checks with every worthless excuse under the sun on several occasions among a multitude of other unacceptable business practices. Please do a search in the archives.

Archives so old
Does anyone know why all the posts are so old whenever I want to research a company in the archives? Almost all of them are from 2004 and very few from 2005. If they were posted in 2005, then they are usually many months old. Also why aren't they posted in chronological order with newest ones first? Please help me understand this. Thanks.
