BE vs FE

Front end is where the doc dictates and the report is spit out. The doc then has to waste his time editing, which keeps him from seing patients and making money.  The doc doesn't like that

Back end is where the doc dictates, the report goes to an editor, is corrected and returned to the doc.  He thinks he's the perfect dictator and the system works great, without knowing what the MT Editor really had to do.

However, ignorance is bliss and it's here to stay as long as it is cost effective.
