The Indian owner also owns a residential home in KY, that's where the KY part comes in. sm
The lead MT is in San Antonio, TX, but as the other poster said, the headquarters are in India and 99% of the people you deal with are in India, some city that begins with an A, can't remember. They are nice people, but they should be honest about it.

Focus is Indian run and you'll be editing Indian
work, so seriously doubt you'll make a bunch of $$ on editing. 99% of the MTs love KS. If you'll just scroll down the page you'll see dozens of posts about them.

I worked for them several years ago. The problem I had with them was bounced and late paychecks. Last I heard, this was still a recurring issue with them. Unless something has changed as of recent, it is a foreign-owned company as well.

I worked for them through last year as MT/Editor. Made $0.10 for STAT and $0.06 for editing. Pay on time, enough work but some tough accounts. I left because of family problems. No major problems.
The email said the owner as she is the owner of the email software package. sm
We got the list from AHDI. If someone does not wish to be on our email list, there is a link to click on at the bottom of those for opting out. We immediately remove those that click the link.
We also have a few mailling going out. Same thing - if you opt out of the email program, we will remove you from all contact.
We need transcriptionists for many new accounts and have ads on here and other sites, as well as several magazines. We are going to need over 100 MTs in the next 3 months due to new accounts and more work on existing accounts!
Anyone here work for Ascend?
I know they outsource, have done a search and read the info there, but what's the scoop NOW? Thanks!

I need to the real specifics on this company before I accept their offer. The pay they are stating is within reason. Does their accounts consist of ESL doctors? Does any of their paychecks bounce? Please help, thanks. Good bless the hurricane victims.

I am working for Ascend now for three uears. They have a policy of each 15 day pay period paid 15 days after the period is closed. If the disbursement date is on week end it will get delayed. I never had an issue and I average about $0.12 per line.
There are folks who do not complete their paperwork or do not submit their production data on time do get their pay delayed.
Ascend also gave me a loan last year and subtracted agreed upon installment from my earned wages.
I like working for them. Plenty of work, good pay.
Like Ascend. There is an off-shore
connection and the owner is ESL.

I have worked for several medical transcription companies over the years and have found Ascend Healthcare to be the worst company, by far, to work for.
A very-very negative atmosphere . .
No direct deposit available. .
Constant idol threats . .
Holds checks for 2 weeks after each pay period ends.
A lot of heavy ESL . . and very hard dictators.
Management - Backstabbers
Penalties are sometimes assessed for errors; docking $ money from paycheck
The list goes on and on . . . .

I have used it tons
It is a pretty easy system to get used to. A lot of nationals use it. It is the same testing system that Career Step uses for their final. I like it better than some of the other tests that I have taken. Just don't close out of your objective portion or when you log back in you will have a whole new test. That happened to me before. 
Tons of work
I don't know what account other poster is on but she should probably check with her supervisor about the no work issue--that doesn't sound like Amphion.
The account I'm on is never out of work and it is always available to work on, overtime included. I love Amphion and have been at several different companies.
Amphion gives me the freedom to do my work and keeps me in work but they don't bug me to death about work. They go above and beyond to create macros, request software changes that get approved for MTs to use to make our jobs easier. I get employee benefits including retirement and PTO and I couldn't be happier. I'm also not bombarded with emails all day like I was at TRS a few years ago. The supervisors and QA are great! I was not sure when I started because I was skeptical from past jobs, so I started part-time and kept my other full-time MT job, then made the switch to full-time with Amphion after a few months and I am so glad I did.
If anyone remembers Omnimed from a few years back, they are now back as Amphion. You really have to just give it a shot to see if they're a good fit.
