Maybe I'm misinterpreting the IM comments, but does this mean, literally, that you have to have YIM or another IM source open while you're transcribing so that they can critique you while you work? I had an offer from a company who presented this IM availability as a good thing for the MT, because they would be available to answer any questions; I'd never thought about it from their perspective, where it could also be used to keep tabs on the MT during his/her shift.
I didn't accept the position, so I'm curious as to what exactly the micromanaging via IM means. Sounds a bit big brother-ish now that I look at it from the other perspective.
