you will do? Sometimes if you cannot or will not do all worktypes you will run out of work frequently, not only with TT but with all companies. Not trying to be harsh, just asking.

Well, I am self-limiting
for a number of reasons. I work only 4-5 hours a day. I wouldn't mind making more money but it's all I can do, really, and this is not my only source of income, though I do need this income to live. I often need to split up my work day, couple of hours of typing, hour or so of rest, because I have a problem doing 5 hours at a stretch, sometimes even 2 hours is difficult. So when they say I will be ''encouraged'' to become an employee, and a FT employee at that......let's just say if they make me an offer I can live with and don't reduce my cpl rate I will be most pleasantly surprised.
Self-limiting
I think they like to use the term self-limiting as a way of taking blame for any problems off of themselves and putting it on you, plain and simple. All big shots I have ever come in contact with do this.
Ummm, I work outside my comfort zone, in fact, do all worktypes on 2
both speech and traditional, and I don't have any work, either.
Myself, I liked the "self-limiting" descriptor.
Yep, that fits me to a T. I like living in abject poverty, and that goodness for my ability to self-limit by not typing nonexistent work. Go me!
Myself, I liked the "self-limiting" descriptor. Yeah, that's me. n/m

I caught that too - "self limiting" gawd
It is the lack of being paid a decent wage for the skill provided/expected, What would it be 40, 50, 60% paycut for the same skills and expectations from the MTs.
Management is paid big wages to manipulate the numbers, and convince the MTs - things are fine, DONT self-limit, you are being treated just fine, the wage is fine, we are fine, you will be fine and the suits march off to the bank.
My heavens have a conscious, don't treat the MTs like a backroom sweat shop, slave labor, like sewing machine workers paid by the piece (literally pennies a piece) and the product is designer labels bringing in thousands per product. Both sides have to be able to survive and not work like slave and still not be able to make it money wise, pay bills, etc
