What's up with all the slamming.. People say negative things but never back it up with any proof or clear up what they mean.
Is Proveros a good place to work?
Does anybody think this is a good company to work for? Are they worth putting in a long term investment of time? Do they pay fair and on time? Good/bad accounts, run out of work? I was just wondering if anyone had any information and//or thoughts to share.

Sounds like MTMAN struck a nerve. :-) -- Hey it happens on here. This board to is post viewpoints. Some are true and some are not.
But...my sister was with Cymed and then moved into spi. She was an account manager and resigned her position after working with her upper management and seeing the lack of appreciation for the backbones (MTs) of their company. With such a percentage of work being sent offshore...Cymed is missed.
I am a happy camper, too.
I would suggest you get your answers by calling TT and asking them directly. I will say that TT has been nothing but extremely good to me, and I have never not gotten my lines/hours and have never waited for work 24/7. I am quite happy and satisfied with them.

Been here since 2003, never have run out of work, plenty of overtime, great benefits, great pay, great bosses, flexibility abounds. Need I say more???
Webmedx - Not Everyone Is A Happy Camper.... sm
For the last few days I've been reading a lot of posts about Webmedx; some good, some bad. I work there part time now, as full time was turning out not to be worth my time. And now this morning I received an email about "cherrypicking". And there are a lot of cherrypickers at this company. Believe me I have seen it!!!
I read one post where the MT was oh so happy to be with Webmedx for 8 years; then read a reply by another MT questioning her status within the company. I agree 100% that she is more than likely management or close to management. There are not that many MTs at Webmedx that have 8+ years with the company. Webmedx also made some changes within management, as I got that email the other day. It does seem as though they are more interested in the $$$$$$$$$$$$ than the MTs that work for them.
They also do not answer your emails in a timely manner. Every time I have a question, it is days before I get an answer. And, I'd like to know why some MTs say they have a flexible schedule?? Not true at all! Even being part time I had to submit a schedule of days and times I would be working, and if you're not working within those scheduled hours you get asked 'where are you. Why aren't you working?'
I don't like it when recruiters or employees sugar-coat the company they work for.
I'm only staying with Webmedx because I'm in the process of transitioning to another job with another company; one that I had worked for before. I feel a change is what I need now and I'm hoping that Webmedx gets their act together soon, as they are losing MTs and I know this for a fact because I have 3 friends who are leaving/left during the month of May, and I probably won't be there much past June/July.

Anxiously awaiting gift from TT; hope it is their usual in a larger amount. Don't need cookies, what-nots, etc. as some companies send to their MT's. Love that monetary stuff!
The archives said that they ran out of work frequently
and that they outsource to India. Was hoping things had changed. Do they pay for spaces, headers/footers, bold, etc.?

times outside of the holidays is just plain poor staffing, which can be done so that everyone has enough and the work is kept up. It has been done. Problem is, getting people to do more when there is a slam. No incentives for it? they won't come through. company solution? overhire.

Why do all the unhappy MTs at MQ
stay? I worked for MQ a long time ago and after 2 months with them I knew they were crooks! With all the legal issues pending and the drama that seems to linger with every passing day, why not go somewhere else? I know many MTs are happy there and that is great. But really people life is to short to be so unhappy with your jobs. There are better places out there to work. Good luck to all of you.

Watch out... I've had experience dealing with a company that was partnered with Proveros... they did not pay on time and what they do pay is pathetic... Stay away, stay far, far away...

I hear you on that one and just wondered if you ever found anything else. It seems to take so long to make up the money --- even the double amount that you have to make to make the same amount as typing. It is so dull. Please let me know if you can. thanks much.

For all those looking for a job or unhappy
I read the board quite a bit, post sometimes. At times I agree with topics or points of view and say so. Other times, I disagree, and say so.
All-in-all, though, I want to say to every MT who is unhappy with their work, their particular company, their paycheck, that for 2009, make this a year of healthy change for yourself.
Sometimes that healthy change can come by just changing jobs to a different company. Remember that every company is not for every MT. There is no company that is 100% great nor 100% horrible -- some MTs will always be happy and some will not be at every company.
A healthy change can also be deciding to go into a different branch of MT work, such as QA or even a team lead or supervisor position.
Sometimes healthy change comes from making a step out toward a new profession, if you feel you need a complete change of pace.
It may include taking on the new challenges of voice recognition (editing) or a new platform, etc.
Whatever your situation, I hope you will join me in making sure that we actively do something for each of own situation. It doesn't require banding together nor attempting to overhaul anything - just a simple decision, a simple plan, followed by a deep breath and taking that first step.
I already have and I hope you will join me.

I have been screwed, glued and tattooed by several MTSOs. Now I am !!! The only difference is the last one has broken new ground. I feel sure the big boys are waiting to see if this works as the ultimate club to keep you in line. Courthouses may not be able to prosecute criminals because they are so clogged with SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation) lawsuits or legally known as slander and libel. All of you are opening yourself to this by posting your experience with companies you have worked for on a public forum (unless, of course, you can give glowing reviews). The one I am in trouble with is no worse than any of the others. I am shocked that apparently ALL MTSOs feel they must monitor what their employees are saying about them. What's that old saying? The guilty flee when no one pursues.
If all of you want to change your lot in life then do it! It can be done. Needless to say, because I have been placed in a position to HAVE to defend stating my experience and opinions, I have learned many things that I did not know before. I will not share these things on a public forum.
The first thing you should do is organize a means of communication that is not viewable by your adversaries. You also need a leader, one who is not afraid to stand up and fight. If fatcat declines, perhaps Topaz or cj might be willing. I don't know any of them but they all make very intelligent posts.

is that MDI Maryland or what. I can't seem to find their web site. I would also apply. Not too happy with the way MQ is headed. I am happy you got your raise. I do feel sometimes the lines are jiggled a little bit, but not sure.

That is true, but like a lot of forums, it's the unhappy people that are doing most of the posting. Spheris has happy and unhappy employees, like most companies. There's a lot of change going on that's stressing a lot of people. Not everyone is affected, though, and there are people that are happy there, including me. I know others who have been there for years who have no plans to leave. Just trying to give the other side.
PROVEROS! STAY AWAY!!
I worked for this company for a couple of days and went elsewhere because they offered no benefits. I was to have received a check on the 30th of July for work done the beginning of July and didn't get it. After repeated communications, they have told me it has been mailed, overnighted, etc., etc. and I still haven't gotten it. Now they're telling me it was overnighted today (we'll see) and the amount they told me is way below what it should be and what my time sheet shows. The president of the company is now emailing me!!! I have wasted so much time and energy with them and wondered if anyone else has anything to say about them.

I also have had a terrible time getting paid by Proveros. They keep promising me that the money is in the mail - and it's alot more than what they owe you - but it never seems to show up. One time they told me it was going to be sent via federal express and I asked for a tracking number and it showed only that a request had been put in - no package had ever actually been picked up for delivery. I would recommend that you STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this company - they are not honest and either don't pay- or pay very very verylate.

I am no longer there. I had 5 accounts each with different styles, and you MUST know them or it is taken off your QA, thus your pay is decreased. They woudl run out of work or have mandatory overtime as the week went. Seek someone else.
