I was job hunting in July and had the same experience, no responses. It took weeks to start hearing back, then the responses started coming in. I even got some responses 2 or 3 months after applying. It just seems to take a long time right now. You have to be very patient.
How soon after applying and taking test for Transtech to hear from them? Thanks.

I've submitted my resume for their QA position, and I haven't heard anything back yet. I was wondering if this could be due to the convention in Boston, or is this just the new trend in the application process? I've also submitted my resume to other companies, and there have been quite a few who haven't given even a short reply.
I know it's not because of a lack of experience, because I've been doing MT for over 15 years and QA for over 5. Any ideas of a great place to send my resume?

I took a test for a company and my foot pedal would work with the test and I had keep going back
over the dictation time and again to get all the words because I couldnt stop and start it by the foot pedal. What can I do about this.
I'm taking the test now. I'm not too sure about this?!?! sm
I saw somewhere where somebody said they got paid every Friday. Somebody else said about once a month. I don't know. Their website looks promising. I'm in the process of getting the test ready to send now. I'm not sure if I'll even finish it.

I have just taken a test that must be designed to get into medical school with all of the choose the correct, fill in the blank and give the definition, was sooo..long.... and so intense, and why do we have to take 5 voice tests, don't they understand if you can do one or two, you must know what you are doing? Just tired I guess trying to find a good fit after doing this for 20 years.

and I am so relieved to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing significant trouble! I have 10 years' experience, but that is useless when dealing with this quality (or lack thereof) of dictation!

It was the actual doctor that would be the client, and the names of the clients were on the test......!!!! Can you say HIPAA ????? I immediately stopped the test and did not even respond to the recuriter. Definately not right no matter what it is...

I applied a month or two ago, received an email from someone asking if I would take a test and said she was getting ready to go on vacation for a week, so I hurried and immediately and told her I'd love to take the test. I never heard back. I waiting thinking she went on vacation and would contact me when she got back to do the test but nothing...very strange..Just wondered if this happened to anyone else.

I just finished my first hour of VRing and I did 561 lines, that is at 4 cents a line and that equals to over $22 for that hour. I could never straight transcribe that many lines in 1 hour.
I think taking the test now will speed up the process.
It has a place for you to submit resume, so they have resume and test together. If you haven't heard anything in a couple of days call.
Yes, 6 cpl is low but three years is NOT a lot of experience. It takes that long to become sm
semi-proficient and we look for at least 5 years because of that. I would not go higher than 7 cpl with only three years experience and I think this is starting to be the norm.
Think of other fields ... plumbing apprentices, electrician apprentices, printing apprentices, etc. It takes 5 years to be a journeyman. They start at $8.00/hour and move to cap which is around $30/hour but it takes 10 years to get there.
Even teachers ... it takes 5-10 years to get top pay.

When I worked with them, the insurance was very expensive and not very good. They have promised to get better, but that has been going on for a long, long time.

Hello, I am currently working with a company but need to change due to lack of benefits. Etrans has sent me a couple of emails about joining them, but I wanted to know if anyone works there, is it worth it to take that test for 1 1/2 hours, when I could be transcribing. Also, what type of accounts do they have and do they have anything that is entirely online and does not need a phone line to dial into a system, would love to drop my $40.00 a month bill for unlimited long distance.

I bothered taking the test weeks ago and never heard. You would think...
they could at least say either way, hey, you did not pass the test etc... but I never even got that. I even took someone's advise and followed up by emailing HR and asking them if they could let me know either way but I took the time to do the testing as well as I had been also testing with others and needed to know whether to keep waiting on them or move on. Obviously, I moved on. I find it totally unprofessional to ask someone to take time enough to test and then they cannot even have the common courtesy to tell you that you stink or whatever. I could handle the truth, but to never heard anything, UNPROFESSIONAL. I do wish you great luck and maybe they just only contact those who pass and let the rest of us figure it out on our own.

but somehow with over 16 years of experience, I blew the test. I was soooo disappoionted and yet pretty stunned. I am by no means perfect but I haven't flunked a test in years. I expected it in my early years but not this far down the road. I was so confident and they will not tell you which part you did not pass and why so it really just blew my mind. I must have been in shock for like two hours after I got the email. Oh well, someone will want me....hopefully. I was thinking about OSi but I don't think I could take another rejection if I never heard back.

It sometimes can take a week or two for the hospital to get your IDs ready, but a month is definitely way too long. I would contact either Lee or Becky in the office. They are both EXTREMELY helpful and very, very nice. They should be able to check into what is taking so long and get things moving pretty quickly. There is no way it should take that long.
Anyone else have problems taking USA Type test? Cant get my comp to play the sound file.
Any suggestions? I really want to take the test but their sound file keeps loading onto my music program, and when I try to load it on Windows Medial Player it tells me I need codecs, so how would I find that to load?

I just took the FN test, and e mail said I would hear
in a couple of days. Usually when I take these tests, the software lets me know how I did right away usually with a congratulations, you passed! The fact that it did not say that, is that standard for this company, or did I flunk the test? I just usually know right away how I did on these tests and am unsure of this company's hiring process. Thanks for any info. :)
