I know they are hiring so I am just trying to gather some information before applying.

Do they only hire employees, or IC's also:  What platform do they use:  Are they a good company to work for?

down from where you are asking.  Maybe how many years of experience they have isn't listed, but then there are no guidelines which we are told to follow about posting about a company.   I know I worked for SoftScript and it was horrendous and I didn't have any non-ESL dictators.  Someone else will post about how wonderful a company it is, but all of the Ex-SS have figured out it is probably management because we ALL know better.   I figure there is there are at least a dozen posts and 11 of them are negative then it is a bad company.  I do agree though that a newbie doesn't know there is anything better out there. 

Many times people post read the archives and I'm guilty of that, because a company has been discussed so much and the very same questions asked again and again and again.   I tihnk it is up to us to do our own research, just like the word boards aren't for those too lazy to Google something. 

I called the phone number and it answers for Macro-Solutions.  I also checked with the BBB and sure enough they have been in business for a long time and have an excellent rating BUT the contact name is different than the name given with the BBB, but that could be because it is the HR person posting the ad.  I still think that something is fishy with it, who knows though.

"Bad news!" and nothing else.  That doesn't tell me or anyone else anything useful.  I don't care if someone says "bad news!" but could they please back it up with some real info?  Preferably first-hand experiences would be nice, thank you.

Does anyone out there have any info about Mediscript?  I know they pay by the gross line, but how much?  Do they offer direct deposit?  When are the pay days?  How's the platform?  Any info appreciated.  I'd like to gather some information first before I take any tests or talk to them so I can determine if it's worth going through all that for a job that might not be a fit for me.

you won't find much good about them.  

good about them.  They switch you from account to account. They have had management problems for many years.  Their line counting is difficult to figure out and they dock you for lots of things.  They also offshore and are currently training women in Trinidad and somewhere else so you know what that means.   Some of their accounts are teaching hospital and I worked on one of them and the dictation quality was horrendous.  If you're a newbie I doubt they'd put you on it though. 

There are worse companies out there, but I still wouldn't recommend TRS.

will be getting on your shift.  Pay per report is great if you are getting a majority  short routine examinations, such as chest x-rays, lots of canned/normal reports.  If you are on a teaching hospital account the docs have a tendency to ramble on and on, and per line is better.  Some MRI's and CT scans be quite lengthy too.  Ask about the specific account you will be on:  Do they  have canned normals, do the docs routinely use the normals, what majority of exams will be Interventional versus routine.  Both 9 cents and $1.25 are a fair rate of pay. 

Also consider the reputations of both of the companies.  Which one offers the better benefits, what is your gut feeling.  Is it possible to work for both for awhile to get a feel for them?  Hope this helps.
