I actually know a couple of the people who regularly post positively on this board about Transcend. I email with them quite regularly. They aren't management. There's one theory down the drain.
And, no, I'm not management trying to create a story, either, although you probably suspect that I am.
Try to accept that people can be happy and supportive of their employer. It's better to be part of the solution than part of the problem.

From what I heard they still deduct like crazy but maybe they are better now than they used to be.
Worked there for 2 yrs and left a couple months ago.
Couldn't take working with unqualified people any longer. A very unprofessional company.
Just left Precyse a couple months ago and it
was still that same way. Nothing has changed, but the work coming from India has improved.
Left a couple of months ago and the plan will not
change until end of October. Do you want family or just employee and children? If I remember correctly - the employee plus child(ren) was running about 225+ a paycheck and family (employee + spouse and/or children) was running high 300s per paycheck.

It was just sitting there. Started another 401K with next job. Let it ride say the politicians...yeah, right. Could have done better in Vegas.
I left a couple of months for the same thing. The prior
3 months I was lucky to get in 800 lines a day. I had a couple of days where I got maybe 4 reports. I would sit in front of my computer for 12 hours/day, checking every 5 minutes, and still couldn't get my lines with 3 different accounts.
They hire away ahead of time for new accounts and after training they have to do something with them until the account goes live so they put them on other accounts temporarily and then there isn't enough work for the regulars.
When I first started running out of work I watched the backlog report to see where an account might have a big backlog and there were 3 or 4 who were on OT most of the time, but when I asked to be put on one of those accounts I was told no. There were many days that it looked like half the accounts had a 0 backlog. Then they started hiring for 3-day weeks and 4-day weeks so there was no work on weekends to try to make up your lines/hours.
I left Amphion a couple of years ago and never looked back.
It was one of the best moves I ever made.

at Medquist. I've checked out other companies but I liked MQ the best (I kept working at MQ while testing other companies).
they have a couple of people in the office that couldn't tell if you -
it was day or night or their hand from a foot - real idiots - yet, if you work there, they will be supervising you. Best of luck.
I was not happy and left.
The account I was on had 15 phone numbers that a person had to dial manually, and if you couldn't get a line, you were out of luck and had to wait a while. The sound quality on the account was awful, and as others have mentioned, you also have to have unlimited long distance.
I was assured there would only be 1 account to work on so that I could become familiar with the doctors. Instead, within a short period of time, I was being jerked between 3 different accounts.
The owner began e-mailing every day asking people to do extra. She also demanded people work weekends (even if they were already signed up to work one day), and at one point became demanding. I worked 1 month straight without a day off, and at the end of the month was asked to work more. When I said I needed a day off, it wasn't pretty.
I am with a new company, on the same platform, and can get the same line count in 4 hours compared to the 8+ it took me with MDI. The difference? The new company's accounts are web based.
I really doubt it!!! Left after 2 yrs with them and now very happy!!
OSi lacks professionalism in every aspect. Unqualified managers, horrible tech department, servers always down, on and on.
I worked there as an MT..... was not happy and left.
I worked there for 2 years. There were a lot of policies there that I did not like. I left there and found a company that is better suited to me and treats their employees much better.
How long have you been there? I know leaving the comfort of a job is tough but there are much better companies to work for (in my opinon anyway)
oh yea they fired a couple of people for sexual harrassment and breaking into mt's computers.

Soooo many people have left!
I know that at least 20 or so people quit around the same time I did! Even though it is super annoying, it is sometimes funny to read their e-mails when they are panicking because they don't have enough people.
You see - all the good people have left OSI
She was super. She was treated very very badly at OSI. We will all be in better shape very soon as long as we can get another job before they are all taken. I think alot of people are leaving Medquist and they are going to be grapping some of the available jobs too. The old saying- Time is of the essence.

Yes, I worked for them for 9 years and finally had to leave because they cut may pay in half. At least 4 people from my team alone have left, and I suspect many more are leaving. Horrible insurance with sky-high deductables, abusive team leaders, no holiday pay, expectations to work most holidays. I never got a raise in 9 years. Terrible place, they just keep cutting benefits/pay/perks.
Yes, some really great, talented people have left, and that's
always a danger sign to me. If upper management keeps being mentioned as a reason these good people are leaving, somebody should take notice. This company seems to be hemorrhaging talent and keeping an incompetent, power-hungry suit. It's hard to know whether to leave or stay. I would not recommend them to anyone right now.

i could be wrong but I think a lot of people are not too happy with this change.

I am presently working for another company and am somewhat satisfied. Am considering Diskriter. I do not want to make a wrong decision. If you worked there and left, please let me know if you would be willing to give me some information (bad or good). I know people hesitate to get into specifics on this forum - email me and I will contact you. I am just so hesitant to make another change.
At least they seem to be happy with their jobs, which is more than i can say for most of the people

I too sent in a resume a couple weeks ago and did a search and saw mostly very positive posts. I did that related posts thing that the other poster describes and it worked really well.
I figured they are probably swamped with applications if the number of people I have seen post that they really want to work there is correct. :)

issue can this be. Also, is the sound on these accounts poor. That is the other problems I have heard people comment on. I was really looking for uptodate comments. How bad are these issues at present. I dont want to leave one company with no work problems and go to another one with the same problem. I cant be available 24/7 to get work with having a family.

Their platform is fully over internet. It has a few bugs, but they are working these out all the time. These are just plain nice people running that place. I really have enjoyed them and am so happy to have shed the stress of the uncertainty with MedQuist. Proscript does not offshore, either.
The big thing I like about Proscript is that they all work together pleasantly. With MQ, we are left out there alone without the tools to do a good job. With Proscript I actually feel I am part of an organization that is genuinely dedicated to doing a good job - and provides the tools and the feedback to do that. I like the QA people, too. They provide good feedback done in a diplomatic way - and they know we are all just human, which helps.
I can assure you that I am not a DR recruiter. People are happy there.

Yikes? I know it might be hard to believe, but there are people who are happy with MQ.
I just happen to be one of many. No weekends, time 1/2 for holidays if I work, 10c per line, fast platform, and every day I learn something new. Have gotten offers from Transtech, MDI-MD, Hypertype and Webmedx, but I'm still with MQ. I'm not stupid, far from it, I just KNOW that they are all the same. MQ happens to be the biggest and some people just can't handle that. They will bounch back, just wait....
If you look back in the archives people left when they realized they couldn't make money with it.

misleading because the fit was not good for them.
If you have been on these boards a while, you would know that she always posts her name. I emailed her today to tell her what was happening on here, and the response I got back was she does not even look on here as it is too upsetting and has promised herself not to come and look. She has too much else to do with her time and defending herself and her company is always misinterpreted. She basically told me I should spend more time working or with my family than spending time on this soap opera. It is better to not care and let people form their own opinions. Everyone takes the postings with a grain of salt anyway. I think it is sad that she has to be so tough-skinned.

greatest! Hated to hear that he had left. We got some real doozies for tech help now. The MT ends up training them. They are clueless as to what to do when we need help. TRUTH!
They ALWAYS have a BAD attitude in their voice, too -- like we MT's are a bother to them -- thought that is what they get paid for.

I have a question... For those who work on Meditech, how long after you were hired did it take them to get you set up on Meditech? Because I'm not on their platform yet I've been doing all my work on Word which sucks because of course there are no medical expansions, just common everyday words. It's been 2-1/2 weeks now and I'm still not on Meditech, when I asked someone about it they said the hospital was still working on it. My question is how long did it take any of you to get set up? This no expansions thing is killing my line count and I can't afford to buy any exp. software right now.

For standing up to these lousy companies who think they can s*** on us and feed us a line of crap, thinking we're too stupid not to buy into it! I am so disgusted and angry about what I've been reading - if Medquist pulled this on us I'd be outta there in a New York second. You guys are too good and there are too many other companies out there to put up with this kind of bull. Remember, we are in the driver's seat, we can be picky - demand far exceeds supply for professional MT's and you guys are sticking it to Transcend as should all new and old MT's. I also believe MTStars should ban any further job postings from Transcend - it is a total insult to us to allow them to continue to post, IMHO.

want to hear from transcenders who
have worked on VR and have been able to make at least what they always made, how much they have to edit to do this and how long it takes. How has your life changed due to this as far as the amount of work it requires. How much money can you bring home doing this realistically given the hours you work. No flaming and honest input please. Trying to figure out where I will stand when I do it.
