MQ has a 70% reduction in pay for ASR, what is the reduction rate for Webmedx? nm
Base rates with National incluidng shift differential. Smaller - base rate 11 cpl. nm

Reduction in rate for ASR work. (sm)
I know Medquist does 20% reduction for ASR and I have heard some do 50%. I can't imagine doing this for 50% less on my line rate. There must be something more to this. Info?
Raises? LOL! I anticipate getting a reduction in rate.
aa
At this point MQ only has 20% reduction in line rate for VR. (sm)
I know that could change, but it sure seems a lot better than so many companies who are offering half of the normal line count for VR.
There may be things I don't like about MQ, but this has to be considered a plus.
I understand DSG uses DQS, do they do ASR and what percent reduction in rate? nm
x
Webmedx ASR - 80% reduction or what? TIA
.
I don't think 9.5 cpl is a low base rate.
I like DQS so far. I'm doing pretty good. Of course, I'm still learning my docs and putting in expansions but I'm doing about 240 to 260 lines an hour. I think that is pretty good for just getting started with them.
I don't care what other people make on their base rate, or how many lines they type. I have to pay for my living expenses and not theirs.
HOWEVER, that is base rate
Transtech pays more for evening, more for nights, more for weekends, plus they have a tiered plan. The more lines you type the more you make. You can start out making 10 cpl if you are good and are not lazy. You also get extra for not sending a bunch of stuff to QA.
No need to add when you don't state all the facts.
base rate.... my thoughts
I find it hard to believe you were STARTED at 9.5 cpl. I have been there 8 years, just asked for a raise, and they told me no because I was at 9 cpl already! (like that's something great!) So if in fact you were started at 9.5 cpl, what's up with that? Something sure doesn't seem right here, but I'm waiting to see what this new pay plan is about, and if it doesn't set well with me, bye, bye MQ!
the 2 top nat'ls pay 1.5 base rate
is that what you mean?
No, they pay 80% of your MT base line rate.
nm
well I was lucky, the base rate is 6 but my mom used to know one of the owners
and they will get me in the promotion for the QA department. They said that they like to give the jobs to the new girls because it is exciting and they are right about excitement. I think it just helps to know the right people and I really do appreciate it. They are all so friendly. And the operations lady and in charge of radiology is Pepper, and Flo is the manager of QA. Just call them and they can give you more information about pay etc. The phone number is 1-866-552-1515

Yeah, but if you don't mind a low BASE rate!

Poll: What % of base rate does your company pay for ME?
MQ - 70% of base rate for ME.
Oops, I'm now getting 0.1075 base rate.

To those who chirp in about TransTech's base rate
There is a base rate, but everyone gets more than that. There are FOUR additions to that depending on shift, weekend work, QA percentage, and line count (which alone can be as much as 1 cpl going back to line 1) - FOUR additions on top of the base rate. If you don't work for TT you have no business chirping in. You get paid OT for holidays whether you are scheduled or not. You rotate Thanksgiving and Christmas, never both in one year. I have been around the MTSO block. Transtech is the BEST. Period.
For Escription I think 4 to 4.5 base rate, which seems to be on the high
end of the scale that companies pay for Escription editing. Hope that helps.
What it the base rate for acute care?
Would love to the price of family coverage insurance. TIA
I am not aware that MQ is starting people at the base rate.
:
You my dear are most certainly the exception to the rule because MQ does not pay that base rate to
start people and give them 11.5 cents after 16,000 lines.
I honestly dont think MQ would pay everyone a base rate of 9.50 even on the new pay plan because
they hire a lot of new inexperienced people and a lot of people do clinic versus critical care etc etc. People have been making on 8 and 9 cents a line for years and they have refused raises why would they all of a sudden given people a base rate of 9.50. Find that hard to believe unless they are going to throw everything on ASR and then reduce your income by 2 or 3 cents a line. Hard to say.
Webmedx ASR rate is 70% of your regular line rate. sm
So if you are on a 9 cpl account, you get 6.3 CPL plus any bonus / incentives / shift differential.
I left MQ for TT. The base line rate was less at TT, but overall I make more per line with the
shift differential (I work second shift) and the incentive plan (I have never once failed to make at least an extra half cent per line on incentives - most of the time a penny). I was scared to death to make that move, as I had been with MQ since back in the Transcriptions Limited days. I have to say, though, that it was the best career move I have ever made and I have never, not once, regretted it.
I hope that was of some help.
Webmedx and other companies. What pay rate for VR? (sm)
I work for MQ now and they pay 70% of your regular transcription line rate for voice recognition/editing. Just wondering about Webmedx and any other companies. Thanks in advance.
Same for Webmedx - 70% of your regular line rate. sm
That's better than some - I hear a few pay a flat rate of 2 or 3 cpl for editing!
Webmedx also pays 70% of your current rate. nm
.
Webmedx has BCBS and some accts pay that rate, more with incentives. sm
Plus we have shift differentials too.
Webmedx pays 70% of your line rate. I make more on VR s/m
with them them straight typing, a lot more.
You DO get a line rate increase for passing the CMT at Webmedx. sm
Ask your supervisor.
Webmedx pays 70% of your regular line rate. nm
.
She means Webmedx - which pays VR at 70% of your normal line rate. nm
.
Webmedx pays a flat training rate for 3 days. nm
.
Webmedx PTO rate of 1.08 hours per payperiod and only for Full-time Employees
Webmedx only gives PTO and insurance to full-time employees. No PTO for the first 3 months, then something like 1.08 hours per pay period, starting at 0. If they run out of work or your ISP goes down or your child gets sick and you cannot get in the full 35 hours to qualify for full-time, they want you to use your PTO to make sure your hours add up to 35 that week. If you fall below 35 hours for 3 months in a row, no matter what the reason, they automatically drop you to part-time and take away your insurance. Then, you have to work a minimum of 35 hours for the next 3 months before you will be eligible for insurance again. As far as holidays, if the holiday falls on your scheduled work day, you have to work, unless you ask for it off in advance, but they do pay you for 8 hours of holiday at your normal rate, in addition to any lines you type that day.
Reduction
The line count on the new platform.
asr reduction for MQ is actually 30%
meaning you make 30% less.
ASR reduction @ WMX is 33% (sm)
For example, if you were making 7 cpl on standard transcription you will be paid 5.38 cpl for ASR.
And it's not 70-80% reduction - it is 30%. nm
.
I am seeing a reduction sm
in pay and also an increase in number of years experience these companies are asking for. I saw one company on another MT job listing site that wanted a minimum of 15 years experience! As far as supporting a family, it all depends on what your production is. For folks that can do 2000-2500 lines a day (depending on what they are making) it is still possible to support yourself. Because of this economy and folks not paying as much, it is going to take a lot more experience and ability to do ANY and all types of MT to keep your head above water.
For the MTs who are limited in types of MT they can do, it is going to be very hard to stay self-supporting. Unfortunately, just like the rest of the working world if you can get a job, you will have to accept concessions in this business just like everyone else has. It STINKS but it is a fact of life. If you want to continue to do MT, then it is the reality. Nobody is paying much anymore or even has jobs unless you want to change your profession, go into nursing etc or some other profession where the jobs are at!
A 33% reduction
to be exact, that is a heck of a reduction in your paycheck not to be considered technically a pay cut!
Just curious - what's the reduction in pay about?

SE...0.095 cpl base...
I can earn up to 2 cpl extra if I type at least 16,000 lines in a payperiod.
I have to type a minimum of 6000 lines in a payperiod.
I am happy with this.
Base is very low
But they talk about incentives! Ah yes, incentives. Only now an incentive is being FORCED to work off hours, weekends, late nights, etc., to make decent money. Apparently MTing has now turned to settling. Do you want benefits, then low pay. Decent hours, then low pay. BUT be an IC and we'll throw you a whole penny more cause you get nothing else of course!
5 yrs ago I got 9 base from them.
Once again you are way off base. I can only speak for myself
and about 20 other people who left OSi a little while back and we are all doing great, couldn't be happier, all working for a great company with awesome people. To be quite honest with you....you are our entertainment!
If things were so good at OSi you wouldn't be on here trying to draw MTs in for them. OSi is over, face it punkin!
What is their base pay, Diskriter?
Anyone work for them now know their base rate of pay? 12 cpl sounds reasonable to me.
That is the BASE ... you get EXTRA for
shift differential, weekend differential, QA percentage differential, and line differential - FOUR on top of the base rate. If you don't work for TT you have no business chirping in. You get paid for holidays whether you are scheduled or not. You rotate Thanksgiving and Christmas, never both in one year. I have been around the MTSO block. Transtech is the BEST. Period.
A whole 2 cpl above base?? You must be rolling in

I would not base my decision on
what this board has to say. These boards are used as a place to vent. It doesn'the matter where you work, some people will be unhappy. I have worked for Transend for over 2 years and the only complaint I have is that the insurance is not what I would like to see. It is quite high and the deductibles are quite high.
Use your own judgement. If you would rather do E-Bay, by all means that is what you should do. Personally I do not like the packaging, mailing, posting, leaving feedback and everything that goes with each transaction. Too much to keep track of.
You are way off base lady
I have worked with Holocaust survivors, have you? Ive worked cleaning their rooms taking people for walks, holding hands, listening to stories of horror and hope, shared art therapy moments, given hugs and support. Dont you dare judge me. You are way out of line, whoever you are. If you get nothing else from what I've written here, get this: No one wants to be labeled a victim. You have absolutely no right.
Peace.
