...include every job you've held in the past 30 years. The fact that you worked part-time shampooing hair at Katie's Kut And Kurl and changed tires at Shuck's isn't going to help, and it gives me a vaguely negative impression of your professionalism.
Give me information that tells me you can do THIS job. I don't need the rest.
Also, don't try to impress me with a list of things you can do, ala:
Uptown 6th Stree Office Manager
Safety First Team Representative
Lunchroom Redecoration Chair
Project X Analyst
Super Sunday River Cruise Leader
I don't care how many look at me jobs you have garnered/awarded yourself the title of in the past, I just want to know that you have an excellent command of the Queen's english and medical terminology, can type and spell well, and want to do THIS job.
Now if you have held positions IN THE FIELD that tell me that you've demonstrated you know your stuff--sure! Just don't overdo it and make it look like you're God's Gift to Transcription. I had one lady send in a cover letter and resume that made her sound like she was beyond wonderful and had accomplished amazing things in transcription, and she totally blew the test. Just make sure you ARE all that before you choose to advertise yourself as such.
