Silent Type..Good Company?

Is Silent Type a good company?  I dont want to waste my time hooking up with a company only to realize after Im hired that they are not a good company (what I am going through right now).  So...any information about Silent Type would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

Type in "Interpro" on a search here and you'll see the vast majority of comments

OSI - good/bad comments?
I am considering a part time MT position with OSi and would like to hear some feedback from anyone who works/worked with them.  Thanks!
Good comments
Thanks for the good comments and sane observations.

In a perfect world we would all follow the Golden Rule and everyone would be happy.

Until then.........
Agree with comments above, good and bad, BUT SM
if you need insurance, FORGET IT. They recently implemented terrible insurance plan with high deductable (like $2000), no med coverage and $10,000 out of pocket expense for year.

Otherwise, it is just fine and I work on high level account with lots of ESL. Not a big problem. The company will work with terrible dictators to get them in line.

Just insurance stinks, as previously noted.
Does anyone work for TTS.. Good or bad comments?
I couldn't find anything in the archives. They are hiring right now and it sounded like they had really good benefits etc.

Transcend... any comments, good, bad or ugly? TIA...nm

Exactly. That also goes for good and bad comments. Employers can be sued.
Employees can also be sued. Bad taste though and we do not need that type of thing. We have had enough of it on these boards.
I have a pretty good list. Any comments/corrections welcome. This is just from
what I have seen over the past few years in terms of growth, size and national accounts.

I put them alphabetical rather than size as I am not 100% on a few. There are 11 instead of 10 too.

This also leaves off a few that only have U.S. Editors with all work done offshore.

If I am missing any, I apologize. These are companies that I have seen at AHIMA, in magazines, on these boards, at AAMT, etc. I am not claiming perfection so I have omitted any, I apologize in advance.

Sten-Tel - Any comments about this company?

How are they to work for?  What software do they use? Any other info would be appreciated as well.

I haven't noticed any positive comments about any company

I did search the archives for OSi but didn't see anything recent.

Thomas Trans Any reviews/comments on this company?
Thanks in advance
can't anyone answer my question - what's with all the puffy "love the company" comments
I didn't ask if this is a good company to work for.
Some not too flattering comments made about this company recently if you search. nm

Need info on Paladin Retrieval transcription company. Anyone have comments. nm

AllHealth in GA - Good company, good equipment, any info about this company? (sm)

What type of work do they have?  Any op reports?  Appreciate any info.

good if you just want to type
they are fine if you just are into production. Stay away from any sort of lead position, QA
Why so very few comments regarding Diskriter? Are comments by employees not permitted SM
on public forums. I have always been interested to see comments on this company, as they are constantly advertising and seem to have an attractive employee package. Unfortunately, never seeing comments on MT boards makes me extremely uneasy. I'm sure they could have stipulations in their contracts that prevent them from commenting, but even so I would expect to see good or bad comments even from ex-employees. Hmmm? Plus, if the anonymity is supposed to be in place on these boards, how can it hurt for employees to make a general comment, good or bad?
All Type - anything good or bad? specifics

What's the good, bad and ugly on All-Type?

I applied with them awhile ago, but hadn't heard anything  - just got a phone call from them, but want to see if anyone has any input before going calling them back.  TIA.

Anyone know anything about Freedom Type? Good? Bad? nm
nm
Thanks -- that's good news! Do you use an expander? If so, what type? sm

The platform I use now has an Expander built in.  I am an old PRD girl, and have heard ShortHand works similar to that, so was thinking of trying that if it works with ExText.

Thanks again.

877-ALL-TYPE. I think they are top of the line. Good luck!

I am convinced, VR is only good for those who can't type fast sm
I am a very fast and accurate typist and I was making $30 an hour. This VR was not even half the pay. Ridiculous!
Any info on Silent Type, good,
Thanks!
Have been offered EXTREMELY good position with All Type Inc.....sm
I unfortunately need to look for a new company, due to the fact that my MTSO has lost accounts and mine is one of them....I really love working with her.  Anyway, looking elsewhere, All Type seems really wonderful, super-nice recruiter, IC status, flex schedule, very good cpl rate, choice of work-types, etc.  Is this too good to be true, does anyone have experience here....cannot find much in search.  TIA!!!
Potential is good if there is plenty of work to type. sm
Things were great when I first started, and the pay was great.  The work on my particular account started to slow way down after about 5 months, and thus the pay, too. Just be prepared if that is to happen.  I do wish you all the best though.
There is a company where you can type sm
conference calls. I think the name is FDCH, federal document clearing house. I used to work for them a few years ago. I don't know how they are now.
http://www.fdch.com/careers.htm
TT is the type of company...sm
If they have 1 job out of TAT they freak out and hire 20 MTs.  God forbid they have steady work for a few weeks where you actually are able to make your line count, and they freak out again and hire 20 more MTs.  So needless to say, work flow is not steady and they love to overhire.
Do you will the company not allow her to type more, or
Are you taking a snipe at her lines produced in a day?

If you're taking a swipe at her producing 1200 lines a day, I'd like to remind you that is a perfectly fine production level and the general area usually produced for straight transcription, as reflected by most MTSOs requiring 1000-1200 lines per day to meet eligibility requirement for benefits.

I'd also like to point out that not all platforms are compatible with the ShortHand programs that do all of the work for the MT. Some companies still have platforms that require the MT to think and type rather than short-cut everything through a report.

Just my two cents in case that comment was intended to be as nasty as it reads.
Fingers are crossed (but it's hard to type!). Good luck! nm

SILENT TYPE--ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS COMPANY??

Saw a job posted here  by this New Jersey company--anyone know anything about them?? Feel free to email. Can't afford another mistake and would like any info, positive or otherwise!

I work for All Type. They are a decent company.
Check them out. I am an IC but if you live in certain states you can be an employee or SE. Not sure if they need anyone right now though.
Can anyone recommend a company who allows you to type on just 1-2 docs M-F? SM

Pays every other week or twice a month, on time.  At least paying 8 cpl and with an MT-friendly platform.

Thanks guys!

not from Seascript but get that same type of thing from another company. Then
they called me twice asking me to send in paperwork which I couldn't send because their e-mail kept rejecting it. Glad I moved on.
On this Company Board, type in Probity
You'll see quite a few posts about them.  From what I saw they are not an honest company, but some find them okay.  Platform seemed like it had a lot of glitches or whatever.  Good luck!
Anyone currently work for All Type or have recent experience with the company? sm

I'm currently exploring my options, and was impressed with the $1000 signon bonus offered, but wondering about the usual things -- quality and quantity of work available, pay on time, etc.

Any input would be appreciated.

I was the *half full* type until my company laid me off.
They said identical things as this DRC acquisition. They told us to just keep working as usual and do your best. Three months later (after the Indians had proper training on our accounts), they laid off the whole US MT force. The particular account I was on DID NOT want their dictations outsourced overseas but this happened anyway until this account caught wind and eventually left. These things do happen out there, and all of these people have the right to feel skeptical. These Indian company takeovers happen more often than not. We MTs need to be less naive about things and more weary to protect our occupation.
Does anyone recommend a pretty good company that is good to work for, pay always on time and plenty
of work.  I know that is asking a lot, but just curious?
Strictly IC, good company, hard accounts, good platform.
Good pay, always on time, no direct deposit though.
Is Transcend a good company with a good platform to work on. They are advertising.
:
Webmedx hires some ICs. Good company. So sorry for your loss. Good luck!

TransTech for many reasons, good pay, stable company, good benefits
and flexible.
I have looked around the last 6 months and have found nothing better. Have turned down numerous jobs, and have finally decided to stay put. The better insurance plans were announced and even moreso than ever, I am staying put, and my paycheck is happy about that because it is getting better every day. Good luck to you.
Survey - What type of medical insurance does your company offer?
Just curious about which company you work for and what type of medical insurance they offer.  HMO, PPO?  Cheap or expensive for you?
TransTech is a good company. Debbie is the owner and a good one at that! nm

Good company, great people, good benefits.
Affordable insurance. Good luck!
Wonderful company, but you type letters and look up addresses and you do not get paid for spaces nm

I know JLG and they are a good company with a good group of people

I joined JLG about 9 month ago and I am thrilled with the experience that I have had.  Although the company has been around for 20+ years, a group of good industry veterans who know how to operate fairly to both employees and clients have joined the company in the past year.  I followed my manager from another giant company.

I have also worked on this account and it was plauged with problems from the start.  The hospital required the account to be implemented in a matter of days, there were technical issues and the hospital management staff was new and the employees were mad because transcription had been outsourced.  Personally, I won't miss this client but good luck to those that get it.

There is plenty of work at JLG and I have already been advised on my new assignments

DSG is a good company. The sound quality is good sm
but I don't understand why they are hiring. In the a.m. was have NO work. The afternoon and evenings do have more work though.
