There are no spelling errors in the ad.
This person was trying to stir the pot for no reason and had people upset, thinking that an ad was run without sending it to KS for proofing.

I was one of those brought in from the stone age, dragging my heels, kicking and screaming, when I had to give up my beloved WP51 a few years ago when they implemented the Bayscribe platform, but in all honesty, it is generally a great platform. I was a PRD+ user before, and their expander emulates that (I think it can emulate others too, but not sure). I averaged 300 lines per hour using Bayscribe and never felt that it hindered me. You just have to get used to learning something new, like any other platform. Their spellchecker could be better, but that is only a minor irritation.
I wouldn't walk away from a great-paying job with great accounts simply because of fear of adjusting to something new. I'm sure you'll be very happy if you go with MDI-MD.
Why personally attack this poster? That is just plain wrong.
Every post I read by her is good-natured. The only people taking things wrong are the ones listening to the green-eyed monster. IMHO.

calling wanting a company that keeps work in the USA. The trend was stronger a few years ago before it all came to light about poor quality, the woman in Pakistan who threatened to post medical records on the web, 911, etc. There are hospitals who look for US-only and they are the MAJORITY not the minority. Definitely seeing the tide turn on offshore from an MTSO perspective, both MTs and customers!!!!!

Hmmm, well, I'm still not sure what the root of their problem is, but I was assured up front by the owner that they are very organized -- apparently not! I've been involved with companies that had a lot of turnover too, and if this is their case as well, I'm just not interested in playing that game again so I suppose it's just as well...

I believe 10-key touch means
You can enter MR# and account numbers fast using the number buttons on the side of your keyboard. Just put your middle finger on the 5 and look at the account number and enter it in without having to look at the keyboard, kind of like what you do with words. You are not actually calculating anything.
What's the best way to get in touch with Transtech?
Apparently they are growing beyond their office staff and don't want people calling them unless it is an emergency and they aren't quick to answer emails. I am not trying to start anything but seriously want to know the best way to get in touch with them where I can get a response in a timely manner. I am interested in going to work for them after hearing all the good things.

They are so counting their money and bonuses they make by overhiring and having great TAT, they completely forget that we are making zero dollars because each of us are battling for each job. Networking can truly work between MTs, even on an anon board, and this is an example of it! I am glad MTs share experiences... even though it sometimes gets rough here, I think that LTMT is an example of a poster who always gives honest answers...

The ACLU doesn't take on the causes of native-born Americans unless, somehow, religion or politics is involved. THEN they will come after you with all their heavy-handed tactics. a position and talked to the recruiter, I forget who it was, I will try to look in my records that I faithfully keep, but they were a recruiting company that works for many companies on contract as a middle man to help get prospective MTs, do some leg work, some phone calls, etc., weed things out, and send good prospects along, at least in my case with the lady I was speaking to.....have you spoken/communicated with them?

It has a light touch though. I have had carpal tunnel
surgery and am very picky about keyboards. I was pleasantly surprised that the one they went (Dell) had such a light touch.

You will not be able to copy those from a MQ
computer. Believe me, I tried EVERYTHING! My husband is a computer whiz and said they have some kind of lock on their system that you cannot copy or transfer to another computer, sorry, but like me, you'll just have to redo your expander, I know it's crap, but you'll make yourself crazy trying to copy it, cause it just won't happen.

I have a few of my own standards in MS Word that I will copy and paste into Meditech, but I find the tabs do not translate over to Meditech. Do you have this problem as well? It is aggravating because I have to fix these when I go back to the Meditech screen

from the onset to NEVER EVER copy and paste. If you are doing this you should stop it soon before they figure it out and you get in trouble.

I'd like to see a copy of a letter sent to clients ...
The letter would explain to the client/doctors that MTs work from homes all over the country and we may not know the names of streets, towns, landmarks in their communities. The letter would explain how docs and MTs could both save time if the doc would move his/her lips when speaking, and would speak at a reasonable volume and pace -- not super-fast, and not stop and go while shuffling papers and talking on cell phones. The letter would describe (in a sweet, informative way, of course) that MTs are real human beings and that dictation is not transcribed by magical machines on the other end of the phone line. And then, I'd like to hear all the docs say, Thank you at the end of their dictations and say, If there's anything that I can do to improve my dictation technique, please let me know, and actually mean it!
Maybe they can supply you with the right copy of word.
