Well, I guess time will tell. Tracy sent out a very nice email and my first impression is that she is a very nice lady. She emphatically stated that offshoring was NOT in the plan. I will take her at her word. I've never been one to jump up and panic without good reason. Anyhow, I'm probably overdue to be put out to pasture anyway so I'm not overly concerned about it. I'm only still MT-ing because I've started my day that way so very long it's like second nature and I probably wouldn't be able to get a thing done all day if I didn't hit the keyboard for a little while every morning (sometimes even on my days off). What a nut case, huh? LOL Money isn't the object anymore and I'm thankful for that. One couldn't ask for a better place to work than TT but then that's just my opinion. They certainly know how to staff their accounts so the only reason their MTs couldn't make a living would be if they didn't work. The work is there and the pay is honest.

but I'd sure like to be on her account that lets her type 300 lph to make that! I am not wasting any time during my shift and can't seem to average more than about 130 lph. Sure I have hours that are higher or lower but I'm talking how it evens out over time.
The poster saying she can't make line count is not a shock to me...it's very hard to meet at Amphion. I'm not sure why you are so surprised; like you said, you haven't worked there yourself to see what it is like.
To original poster, I'm sorry this happened, and I wish you luck with the next company when you find it.

Well, I've never actually had a company ask for a hearing test. I understand we need to be able to hear well but people who hear great cannot necessarily transcribe great.
That being said, I certainly hope that is not a thing we're going to start seeing in the future because that certainly does not prove you can do the work one way or the other.
However, I do know professionals in my family who when applying for a high paying position are now being asked to sign a release so the company can look at their medical records to see how their health is and no doubt if they are at risk for using the insurance too much. My husband has had this happen before as well.

Why are you special that you get to judge someone you do not even know? It is the state of the industry, not this poor woman who got laid off. On the other hand, I think you sound like a SUIT.

thank you, very helpful Not to disclose rates hey, hmmm. Know what I do, I email first and ask the lowest to highest so both sides don't waste valuable time and would be happy to then send resume or test and many/most do respond.

Any information on Transend, example 4.5 hours training and then another hour of doing sample reports with feedback. Plateform difficult? Anybody
I will have a new job, but it won't be with TRANSEND
I refuse to work for a company who is going to lower our compensation rates, send our work out to India or do a majority of it VR....no way!!
With all the extra I time I put into MDI because we would receive countless emails about helping out, that she is helping us save our jobs BS, I refuse to go with another company that is looking for someone to work for pennies. Reading prior posts, it does not seem Transcend MTs are really happy with their company. I refuse to sell my soul to the devil like Dorothy did!

I don't know anything about Transend, but they can't possibly
me worse than SoftScript. If you read back through old posts there are lots of posts about both of them.
Transend acquistions
I was sold toTranscend as part of a package as well. I was happy with all of the personnel (QA, team leads etc) in my previous company..........good responses to IMs, emails etc. They have left now Trascend for other opportunites. Honestly I am not sure why, but cannot imagine it was because they were happy.
Transend/MDI pay cuts
To all Transcend MTs, I am syaing without any form of hostility, welcome to our world. I am wondering if any of you have the answers to the questions us MDIers have been asking: Is IC still an option? Will be be limited to a 40-hour work week? Will our schedule include 1 weekend day EVERY weekend? What happens if we can't (because of lack of work) meet our commitments? Can we expect a cpl drop? Will we be forced to VR? Will we have a set schedule or can we work when we want? How is the current work flow, is there enough for everyone? What percentage of work is being outsourced and what are the projections for next year?
These are questions that us MDIers cannot get answered. Do you Transcend MTs have any REAL and credible answers?

There was a MT that was venting in regards to Transend on their private board sm
(it is automatically set up so if you enter you know who is posting . . name displayed)and the other employees and management was nasty as h++ so believe me I wouldn't post any thing on the private board negative. I have already resigned. I have a week left.
No affiliation with Transend, but that was a DAMN good post and fall under
all companies, all posts. These same "cheerleaders" have posted negative on other companies IM SURE, but yet when they find their place they think it okay to bash others who have not. Very annoying. There is nothing wrong with giving neg/pos on companies, but it should NOT lead to an argument, bashing, etc. When making a decision a pro/con list is very affective and those looking for a new company or doing just that by reading this information. I have turned jobs down solely for the "attitudes" of the cheerleaders. I figure if they have people that snotty and high and mighty working for them, I don't want to be in that category or atmosphere!!

I am unable to locate a Dictation Services Group out of Florida - on the internet. DSG has an ad posted on the job board. This is the DSG based in Atlanta. I can tell because of the email address they posted in the ad.
With that said, there is no excuse to ignoring emails. There are emails that I sent months ago to which I have received no reply.
They really need to address this issue because
they will find all the good MTs bailing out. This has gone on long enough, they enabled ctrl I, but that is not the real issue. If they want to keep us, they better come straight. I think many are on the verge of leaving, I know that goes for me and I've been with them well before they signed on all these new accounts.

why not address the question
to the recruiter, as to what you can access? Personally, i don't think you should rely so heavily on previous reports, though they can be helpful for sure. If you can't access them through the system, maybe they can mail (or e/m) you some hard copies.
